As a side note; it is worth to mention that when you manually lube the switches, most of the time they become more deep, smooth and less scratchy. Vertex V1s and Boba U4Ts are hand lubed switches in the video. So bear that in mind for the comparisons.
Thanks for this extensive comparison, good to know about some alternative brands & models to the widely known ones. By the way, are you aware about some *tactile alternatives* of these kind of deep-sounding / thocky switches?
There are general comments that tactiles are inherently more thocky than linears but in my searches i've found that to be false. As a tactile enjoyer i am also still searching ^^ Let me know if you find anything.
Canglan or Y3 for foam build? Will be going into Hi8, your video is very helpful but an outside opinion would maybe help my decision making. Thank you.
For me all HMXs including Canglan V2s, Hibiscus stay on the high pitch side despite these two being the lowest pitch of the HMX lineup. It is a good switch but i also hear a little sticky sound from Canglan. It is very good if you like that kind of sound as HMXs are very smooth and without wobble. But Y3 feels clearer. Has a deeper thock and a little more sound. Would be my pref out of the two.
@sysserdarr Thank you for the reply! I'm going for a lower pitch thock as I already have hyacinth v2 in a Poppy foam build. The y1x will go into my neo65 once that arrives, and I've heard very good things about Keygeeks' newer switches, plus the Y3 is cheaper, which is good
@@_imwinter_ I think Keygeek is better than HMX. I see you are making the collection. Might i suggest you watch this video and comments for my experiment ruclips.net/video/r6i_74dI4To/видео.html
