This is now an official Seed Fanboy channel 😂
Which is great haha
and I’m here for it
😂 könnte vieeel schlimmer sein!👍
I'm a little obsessed now, I need to get through their entire discog haha!
Yeah, I noticed the obsession, but I like Seeed too.
Hi Dwayne, just FYI this song is off of the album "Music Monks" which was released in two versions, a german version and an international version. The latter has most of the lyrics in english. It might be worth checking out for you. I hope that you come around to reacting to the title track of the album some day. "Dancehall Caballeros" would be my second pick 🙂 Cheers!
My fav. Seed album :D Been pumping it since 14 years now and still love it.
So many write dancehall CABALLEROS he must hear this
I think you'll really enjoy Dancehall Caballeros! It's such a great song even after so many years.
I have it saved in my reaction folder, definitely coming soon :)
And also a very special music video. 😄
@@dwayneslens and add music monks to it please. also a great Seeed classic
I think Seeed and Die Ärzte are the two most influential/iconic bands we have here honestly 🤗😄 great to have another fanboy
wrong. Rammstein and Scorpions are much more influential (and are also frequently among the often reacted videos - apropos: Electric Callboy as well). Aerzte and Seeed are not (even if Seeed deserves that - especially the older stuff (not this song, thats a good solid but nothing special one - bad proposal)). Aerzte are close to irrelevant. There are masses of other German bands/projects which have much more global impact. Almost no one on the planet knows any song from the Aerzte. But masses of people around the globe know for instance Cascada 'Everytime we touch', ATC 'Around the world', Kernkraft 'Zombie Nation', Snap, Boney M./Milli Vanilli, Modern Talking, Nena (99 Luftballos) - also bands like Milky Chance, Alphaville, Faun, Scooter, Enigma, Tokyo Hotel are more known. Aerzte are a typical 'inner German bubble thing' with a bit reach around some neighboring countries but zero global hits.
@@publicminxCase in point to your argument as an American I listen to Rammstein and Electric Callboy.. I've never heard of Seed until this video. I'm not a big rap person but I like the reggae mix to this one.
Didn't forget Nina 99 luft balloons! lol
Hi Dwayne - if you like jamaican music you´ll have to check out "gentleman" - a german reggae artist
"dem gone" "superior" or "intoxication"
got my nick from his song over 20 years ago. so great
also "Widerstand" together with rapper "Curse"
You said "he pronounces the words to sound like Patois" but it is actually even more fascinating (and I think this is, what the comments about him speaking german, not Patois, are refferring to)... He is actually speaking german without any accent (if anything, he is actually sliding a little Berlin-Dialekt into his pronunciation). So besides him using endless metaphors, he really chose his words to make it sound like Patois, while speaking high-german without any kind of Jamaican-Accent...
It really speaks to his ability as an artist.
Something about the translation:
While it does sound like a pep talk it is at the same time against the constant pressure of self improvement. They say: You don't have to be better everyday - make a conscious choice to be happy in whichever way you want. Then nobody can talk down on you.
If you choose to follow the money or tranquility, if you like to be a brain or someone who prefers shagging - it doesn't matter as long as it is your choice alone. And in the end that is what seperates the master from the student.
Cheers!
Thank you!
Ahh ok that makes sense! Thanks for breaking down the context. It's a lot easier for me to do when it's in English but that's why I have you guys :)
I saw seeed 4 times live this is next level. Its a huge band with trumpets and so on. Sadly demba passed away with him there were three frontman. Some of the best concerts i have seen
Seeed dancehall CABALLEROS so many people write this, you must hear this, because you tell often from jamaican roots ❤❤
I read Seeed and like without thinking. It's an automatic thing with this band because they never disappoint. Just like you with your reactions
Ha thanks man I'm glad you enjoy the videos. Seeed are super consistent, I love reacting to the videos.
I love your reaction videos to Peter Fox and Seeed because I enjoy their music as well and it's nice to see that the vibes transcend the language barrier. Come to Germany for a Peter Fox concert. It is so wholesome chill and just good vibes all around
5:38 that in the Background is Berlin City, and they usually make point of incorporating it in most of their videos...
Love your channel, bro! Love from Berlin!
Thanks :) I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I really appreciate that :)
I know the song so well and own the LP since release, but I've learned today that I've never seen the video until this.
Love your open Mind, Man!
You are able to see behind the curtains and give chances to the not so populars!
*Love your sight! 👍
I recommend : seeed Top of the city ( herbalyzer remix) , Sensimilia , rhythm number one ( from their first album new duppy conquerors), seeed music monks, waterpumpee ( top hit in jamaica!) From the 2nd album , tight pants, Schwinger (3rd album) .
I'm a first- minute- fan and I saw them live twice. They're fire!
btw, the Chorus Girls, one of them is Miss Platnum, she deserves some Attention, please, she is georgous. For example "marry me," Miss Platnum ft. Peter Fox
Lovely reaction as always, Dwayne! Don’t forget my faves Deichkind! Might I suggest “Wer sagt denn das?” next? Greetings from Berlin 👋🏻
Ooo I'll check this track out. I do love reacting to Deichkind :)
Jan Delay - Irgendwie, Irgendwo, Irgendwann if you like chilled german music
Jan Delay - Vergiftet
You still have so many great seeed songs to discover Bro !!!
I would recommed Jan Delay to you. Especially the old reggae songs like "Vergiftet" or "Ich möchte nicht das ihr meine Lieder singt. He is a rapper (part of Beginner, you already reacted to them) but made several solo albums in different genres. His reggae album "Searching for the Jan Soul rebels" is probably the best German language reggae album ever made. His funk albums are also great.I would consider him the most creative urban music artist in Germany. Even above Peter Fox.
I've got Jan Delay in my reaction folder. So they will be coming up soon :)
Dude! That's Not vibez kartel that's fuckin' elephant man at the end of the Video and he is Like introducing the Song they did together in exactly the Same riddim called "Shake Baby Shake" ;-)
Yeah I know Elephant man I got the names mixed up. My bad
A pure classic „Haus am See“ - Peter Fox.
Check out the Berlin Band "Beatsteaks". Pretty cool, I think you would like them. Maybe start with "Hello Joe" :)
There is also a song from "KAFVKA", it's called "Alle hassen Nazis", which translates to 'everyone hates nazis'.
Seeed war in meiner Jugend eine Lebenseinstellung!
its not vybz kartel at the end, i think it's Elephant Man. he also made a remix on that riddim which is called Shake Baby Shake
You're right. It is Elephant Man...
One of my favourite Seeed songs!
Also since you're asking for recommendations, here's something vastly different. A song from the 80s, but lyrically relevant as ever lately: Besuchen Sie Europa by Geier Sturzflug
seeed is absolutely banger
How did I not know this song? I' m german and 33 years old. I guess I lived under a rock 🤯😂
YES, one of my favs from them!!!
You can also listen to Seeed with Anthony B - Waterpumpee (Classic)
Next Seeed song to check out could be "Music Monks" 👌🏼 it's one of my personal favourites!
I liked the editing in this video. It's nice seeing parts of the video again while you were talking
Really? I might have to do that more often, I only did it because my camera was playing up and the video of me kept on freezing lol
@@dwayneslens Maybe it's just me, but when you talked about what you just heard, the visuals where quite fitting and i enjoyed it
The words you say about rhytmic of flow and style its so right, his sing sang and the words he spoke in different ranges is brilliant, thanks that you say it as an englisch man, with good music behind story and knowing about music parts flowing etc good words
Music Monks was and is, still up to date, one of the best productions I've ever heard. No matter if ya like rap or hip hop, this album has something for everyone, it's gold! PLEASE also react to the rest of the album, it's so good!!!
And I recommend - as a german musician- Patrice , most known song soul storm
He puts the mirror in front of your face ;)
When the song was released I was still at school, just looked, released in 2003. Oh dear, I'm getting old 😂BUT even though I haven't heard the song for 10 years, I could still memorize the German lyrics, so at least my brain seems to work still fine🤣
Wow. Just became aware that i listen to Seeed since 2001... Banger
Hey Dwayne, I really love your energy and good vibes to all this great music! 🥳
I would recommend I-FIRE to you. It's a band from Hamburg and they‘re also just great.
Cheers from Berlin! ❤
9:56 This my friend is not Vybz Kartel - it's Elephant Man! But I appreciate your videos and I love the fact that you acknowledge the talent of Seeed and escpecially Peter Fox! You should really check out Gentleman too! Big Up!
Yeah I mixed up there names, when I was speaking I was thinking about Elephant man but I said Vybz LOL! Ooops!
Love your videos! They’re great! If you want to listen to more German HipHop artists I can recommend Alligatoah! For more German Rap-Rock, Kraftklub is a band you could check out, especially „Songs für Liam“, „Schüsse in die Luft“ or „Fahr mit mir“ (the last song features other well known german artists as well :D).
Since you have reacted to some older bands/artists as well I recommend Die Ärzte, another hugely influential german band. „Schrei nach Liebe“, „Westerland“ or „Männer sind Schweine“ are all really good picks, you can’t go wrong with them.
Thank you again for your videos, they are really enjoyable! Much love from Germany
if you really like seeed, buy the live dvd. it's also available as audio, but the video is so much more atmospheric and you just want to dance along. whenever i'm in a bad mood, i put the dvd on and turn the speakers up.
that was my youth. you came from an electro club and the next day you went to a raggae club. there were regular artists on the mics who later became famous
There's another German who's kind of Jamaican. Gentlemans second album "Journey to Jah"🙏
That's in Berlin Charlottenburg District (Grunewald + Teufelsberg). I used to live there. I know that place by heart.
Next really should be Gentleman. ❤ Red Town, You remember, To the top and Schöner Tag with Sido
Mono & Nikitaman - Stell dir vor
From all reactions I've seen now, i think this could fit your music taste very well 😊
I can see that at least 1 Person here already a similar german artist/ singer mentioned called "Gentleman" but let me give you one more: "Patrice" these 2 are really great and let me give you 2 german Rapper which you might also really like: "Curse" and "Samy Deluxe" both of them do some of there songs in german and others in english but main focus is for both to rap in german
There is another song from seeed "shake baby shake" which continues the ending of this song. Songs like "Alarm" from Nosliw do have the same beat. Actually, there are a lot of songs with this beat.
Nosliw is a german reggae artist.
Listen to "Ticket" from Seeed. One of the members (Demba) died a few years ago. Don't want to say too much, but this track touches my heart every time.
Gentleman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You really should out Gentleman. In particular his MTV unplugged and his songs with Ky-Mani Marley (son of Bob Marley) are absolutely fantastic. Gentleman is fluent in Patois and one of the few (don't know of any others) white artists who went to Jamaica, performed as unknown youngster on festivals there and made a name.
Hi Dwayne! I have two suggestions for you from Seeed i think you might like. Both from their first album "New Dubby Conquerors"
First is Dancehall Caballeros - some have already suggested this and i agree - pretty sure you will like this. ^^
The second would be "Top of the City" - also pretty sure you will like this song, Peter sings in Patois :D
I love Riddim Nr.1 from Seed, cause it's so funny.
You gotta react to „oh Jonny“ by Jan Delay! Absolute German banger and I feel like you gonna love it
Peter Fox-Schüttel dein Speck....
This one you must have a look, too😂😂😂😂
You have to watch the live version "Schwinger"
Yeeessss, please more seeed
I really love your honest reactions!
Music Monks international version ♥️🌻
Please check out Freundeskreis, Max Herre, Joy Denalane❤❤❤
SEEED!!
Give Raf Camora a try. He is my favourite German rapper. His sound is a little bit of dancehall and German hip-hop . One of his best songs is Nicht ohne mein Team
'' Seeed - Music Monks'' gotta be next , u'r gonna love it.
It's saved and coming soon :)
Jack&Jones , german fashion 👀
Okee Dokee
The skyline is Berlin (Funkturm) 🙋♀
Would love to See you react to some of Peter Fox's Songs from his solo Album Stadtaffe.
I just found a very delicious dish and I want to share it with you.
Here is how you make it:
Melt a brick of butter, aswell as a nub of garlic butter in a pan.
Once melted add red onions and fry until translucent.
Then stir basmati- and jasminrice in equal parts, until every ricecorn is covered with butter.
Stir in some tumeric, kardamon and ginger.
Then add chickenstock and some limejuice and cook the rice in a covered pot for 15 minutes on mid to high heat ( don't lift the lit during cooking. )
After the 15 minutes, turn off heat and leave the pot for 10 minutes. ( don'T remove lit.)
Stir once 10 minutes are done.
What fits is a palak paneer and for extra crunchyness you can dry fry some cashew-,pine- and sunflowerseeds.
Hope you try it out somwtimes and that it tastes as good to you , as it did to me.
Have fun cooking and a wonderful and safe day to you.
In my Opinion....the best Song from Seeeed is " Molotov" ....I can recommend that If you like Peter Fox music🎉
You have to listen to "Haus am See" from Peter Fox. Its just an awesome Song!
HI Dwayne,
if you are up to it, please check out Ticket by Seeed. In 2018 they lost a member (Dembe Nabé) and they dedicated him this song. In general the album with ticket on it has some great songs as well which show their huge range of styles in my opinion! Thanks for your videos! I enjoy them a lot :D
That's so sad, they must of been devastated! I have that song on the list, so it will be up in the future. Thanks for watching :)
thats not Patois (or Patwa), thats just a melody in his rappin'. he maybe soundy jamaican but thats becasue of the nature of the music i think, because it is reggae/ dancehall.
in the end it is german reggae/ dancehall but patois can not be german because it is a creole form of the english language. i am into dancehall an reggae since 20 years ;P
Sorry for sounding like a smart aleck but i just wanted to clarify..
Hope i didn't offend you. I really like your content. What i like the most about it is that you look up the lyrics to understand what they are saying in the songs! Not a lot do that.
Another German reggae artist to check out: Gentleman - Superior
You should definitely listen to “Sekundenschlaf” by Marteria feat. Peter Fox.🎉
I have three more songs by Seeed you should definitely check out since they are their top tier songs imo:
- Schwinger
- Music Monks
- King Rodriguez (but the live version in Berlin,2006 )
Love your energy and greetings from Germany! 🫶🏼
Am I wrong or was there also Elephant Man at the end of the song?
Check out shake Baby shake
YES IT WAS ELI FAILS HAPPEN BUT THIS WAS NOT VYBZ KARTEL
If you Like Reggae and Dance hall Check out Jan Delay, Gentleman, Nosliw and Mono & Nikitaman.
I would love to see you reacting to something from "die Ärzte", i would suggest "Junge" or "Männer sind Schweine". Another great Song is "Dusche" by Farin Urlaub (He is a Member of "Die Ärzte")
The song is not so much about optimisation of life (go to the gym, don't let yourself go, ...) but more about the question if you want to go for the big hustle and leave the rest behind or have some less money and more time to relax, enjoy your life and having enough energy to fuck good 😉
Clearly the next artist you should check out is Gentleman, a German who not only sings patois but speaks it quite flawlessly, too and is quite well-known in Jamaican dancehalls. F.e.: ruclips.net/video/cIrDqBSUrYw/видео.htmlsi=mIrrT2x1WFKwOwLJ
I believe that if you are really interested in German music, you should start looking at the beginning of the restoration of a self-developed German music... The first three decades after the founding of the two German states after the war were primarily characterized by the music of the victors. From Elvis to the Beatles, right up to the disco era. But at the end of the 70s, the "New German Wave" (NDW) developed from rock/underground and punk elements. From then on, German musicians stepped out of the shadows and created their own German-language music culture, which also included musicians from Austria. I would particularly like to recommend the band "Ideal" from Berlin, which was at the forefront of this music at the beginning and brought it a lot of attention in the German-speaking world. Their first LP from 1980 is a milestone for the NDW. The NDW was the re-emancipation of German music after the war... Here as an example a piece by Ideal, "Berlin"...
ruclips.net/video/fpkOPh8ehMI/видео.html
Not just ANY skyline. That's Berlin. And yes, there are forrests big enough around Berlin to have filmed this 'on site'.
Can't wait to visit Berlin :)
It might be a bit controversial but I'd really like to hear your opinion on a song as a whole. It's from Dellé, the jamaican in Seeed, and was made before the EU elections last year. It's just called "Verloren". It's a very deep and serious song. Part Rap, part Reggae. But for this you really need the lyrics to fully understand it.
Seeed became a bit mainstream with their newer work.
If you're looking for more rap/reggae vibe, check
Seeed -riddim no 1
Also underrated songs:
Fire in the hidden
Sensimilla
Jackpot girl
One thing: In Verse 2 it should translate to: "the master thinks: do I want to relax or to get more money and all that crap"
Ahh that makes more sense in context, I'm losing a lot of the irony in the lyrics and translations too. It's hard, but that's why I ask for opinions from you guys, so thanks :)
Dendeman is the King,
Watch: "keine Paraolen"
I swear
Dont miss "release" by Seeed
You have to Listen to Hale-Bopp, ist their newest and probably Most chill and in my opinion best Song. It doens‘t have a Video so a reaction wouldn‘t be that good, but just listen to it in ur freetime it‘s just too good.
You should listen to music monks by seed. I think thats one of the best of their songs.
Hi Dwayne, ich mußte correct you...this is Elephant Man 😊
Yes
Yeah I totally mixed there names up! My bad haha
Next one by Seed: Dancehall Caballeros!
What You Deserve Is What You Get ...and we got Seed and P.Fox...could it be better ? ;-)
Riddim No.1 and Molotov
please react to all of the videos from seeed - they are all amazing
Its elephant man ;)
I love and appreciate that you're reacting to Seeed. I first heard of them in the 2000s and then traveled around the USA and Mexico with their albums (CDs) Music Monks and New Dubby Conquerors In Mexico, people were really into them. I then made them a copy of my CDs and a few years later (2007), when I traveled through Mexico again, I still heard them playing Seeed Tracks in the bars.
Do you want to react to more old and new songs by Seeed? Then I have a few suggestions for you:

An old fanboy :-)
You should react to Electric Callboy's newest song/video, Elevator Operator.
They've got a new song?? Thanks for letting me know. I love them haha
@@dwayneslens yup, released on Jan 24.
10:00 it`s not kartel, it´s elephant man ;)
Yes it is
I was thinking of Elephant Man but said Vybz totally mixed the names up. My Bad!
Please also check "Dancehall Caballeros " from seeed😊i you havent yet
