- I ran into some technical "difficulties" that set me back a few days. The problem? I could only shoot 480p video with the phone. I factory-reset a few times only to have the same problem. I dug and dug to see if others had this "problem". After all, the phones I use and have recently reviewed all have 720p or 1080p video recording capabilities, and this phone has a 5 megapixel camera, which should be high enough resolution for some HD video.
Finally I realized, this little phone only has a 600MHz processor on-board, and HTC must have felt it wasn't enough to power HD recording. I re-shot the demo video at 480p (640x480) and uploaded it straight to RUclips (no editing in the processes) so you can see the quality of the video that it can shoot.

it says 720p recording in the specs is there anyway to make it higher? by the way this is from the UK no USA
i cant get mine to record and sound on the video any suggestions?
how long exactly ?! cuz am gonna have one , by the way , do u find a solution for adope flash files ?!
The sound quality for the video is really good considering budget mobile phones that shoot at 480p tend to have terrible microphones.
Why is it limited to 50 seconds? Coz ur card is full/phone, or its the phone its self having a limit? Bad flaw if so.
well thats not bad at all for a budget phone. seems like htc has been stepping up on the sound quality on the mics.
Looks very good but why gone in 60 seconds
Uuuh, no limit on my wildfire s!? But try and zoom, and see how it lags...
It's pretty good, actually.
why my htc wildfire s not recording than yours ???
It's really cool for 360p, but not much more than that :D.
@Ertugrul1997 good he scared me for a bit there lmao. I just got one today and like it.
