Pes 2011 was introduced fully manual control. It was “too manual” unlike the other football games before, and I could eaisly say that this game made a revoltuion. After this game, in pes 2012, passing and shooting is more auto-directed. I think they tested both ways to figure out the balance better. That is how the masterpiece, pes 2013 was born. Konami was doing great things back then. Really sad that they cannot keep up with fifa today.

PES 2013 is a refinement of PES 2011 & 2012, just like PES 2017 in my opinion is a refinement of PES 2014, 2015 & 2016 in terms of gameplay.
