For anyone confused the N52b30 found in the 125i 128i and most importantly the 130i are identical in European markets in that they come with a 3-Stage intake manifold. In America however, there are two derivatives of the N52b30 which I believe are called the N52b30N and the N52b30K which both come from factory WITHOUT the 3 stage intake manifold responsible for providing the engine with necessary induction to reach 250+bhp. From having mine remapped I can tell you 282 is achievable with the help of a Mishimoto intake boot + k and n air filter. Whether my resonator delete had anything to do with the figures that I got is up for debate.
would you happen to know the differences between the 125i and 130i engines? I know the 125i has the N52B30AE and 130i has the N52B30AF but don't know if there is anything physically different or just a software difference. (Australian Cars)
@@xxswaglordxxu523 not that simple, you need a couple more things, one being the 3stage admission from 30i. You can barely source any power with a remap on these engines.
@@xxswaglordxxu523 i have a 330i myself, and i have spent countless hours online. Every 25i/28i does virtually the same mods to reach 330i power. Good luck reaching 270hp with just the tune.....well....reliably ofc.

How could they add 50 hp from just tuning? Isn't this a naturally aspirated engine. Most is 5-10 hp unless the owner added a turbo or supercharger
These engines are electronically detuned and are the same as the 130i so a remap unlocks the restricted power
