Really, listening to this piece without as many musical arrangements as in the soundtrack feels different, it feels organic. I'm a pianist and the same thing happens to me when I play Liz on Top of the World. Congratulations, I could feel that you really feel what you touch, not everyone makes me feel that way.
I use a virtual instrument for my piano sound so what you’re hearing is a VST called Noire by Native Instruments: shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=1341728&u=3110258&m=77930&urllink=&afftrack= I absolutely love this piano sound, I use it for almost everything I play!
Gotta give you the credit for such a beautiful strings arrangement! Is it from Native Instruments as well? Your piano playing is perfect as always, Jessie! 😌
Was this inspired by the emergence of Pride and Prejudice on Netflix recently? I watched the movie a few weeks ago and really wanted to request that you play this, but then I saw you practicing it on Instagram and knew I just had to be patient! :D
Ouu I'm happy to know its back on Netflix! But sadly, it wasn't inspired by that. I've had the sheet music book for years and always loved the soundtrack (so much that I played this song for my college audition lol) and just decided to start working on it again! I thought it'd be a fun little project to learn the whole soundtrack and post all the songs 😄💃🏻
I'm currently working on this piece and I would love to know the fingering you used on the scales right after the slow section. I'm having trouble getting my fingers to move fast enough!! You played it beautifully! ❤️
Oh yes, that part is a little bit of a pain! If you'd like, send me an email at JessieBlackYT@gmail.com and I'll send you page scans of the last 2 pages with all the fingering I used written in 🥰🥰
Jess! This was perfect!! You have truly done an amazing job on this cover. And, as others have said in the comments - when you added the strings, it just brought such warmth to the piece. Outstanding!! What software did you use to record this??
Thank you so much!! I use Logic Pro X to record everything. I have my piano hooked up to my computer and use Noire from Native Instruments as my piano sound, and the strings are from Spitfire Audio's LABS instruments!
@@JessieBlack That is awesome!! So, what you're telling me Jessie, is that you really know what you're doing and we can talk technical, huh? I use Logix Pro as well. I MIDI my RD2000 into my iMac and use KeyScapes for my piano sounds. I am still looking for the strings/orchestra Virtual Instrument I'm willing to spend money on. Are you really happy with Spitfire?
@@BenBennett10 If you're willing to spend money on a strings library, I'd recommend you check out the Cinematic Solo Strings and the Spitfire Studio Strings for more orchestra writing. I don't personally have those but theres been a few times I've asked other composers what they use for strings, and these 2 are the ones that come up the most. I myself also like the Inspire 1 and 2 series from Orchestral Tools, but those are pricy (as I'm sure the Spitfire ones I mentioned above are as well). BUT if you're looking for freebies, the LABS instrument line from Spitfire is completely free and their samples are good enough that they make for good additions without having to spend any money. I highly suggest you take a look at that line because they sound amazing and free so you can't go wrong! You also might be able to get the BBC Symphony for free from them as well. I know they were running something maybe 6+ months ago now where you could get it free if you filled out a survey, and that has a lot of ensemble/orchestra sounds.
@@JessieBlack Great information, Jess! Thank you! I will check into those and see. My problem is that I want to put some silky strings in the background of some of the songs I write or perform, but I want them to sound real and not like a synthesizer. But, Money has to be considered for how much I would actually use them and how much I'd get out of them.... I'll sure check out the Spitfire stuff as well as the others you mentioned and see what rises to the top for me!
Here's the piano version I used: www.musicnotes.com/sheetmusic/mtd.asp?ppn=MN0072654 and for the brief strings I added in, I just made that myself in Logic Pro by following the chords and melody line in the piano score ☺️🙏🏻🎶
Such a Beautiful piece, my dear Jessie. Next Level when the Strings kick in. Goosebumps🧡🎶🎵🎶
I'm so glad to hear that! Thank you for listening ☺️💜

Wow, thank you so much!!
Played so beautiful with such a deepness! Wonderful.
Thank you so much!!
Absolutely beautiful, Jessie. The combination of the tone choice and strings allows for the emotion this piece needs. Seriously, well done 👏🤗❤️🙌🎹💯🔥
Thank you for your kind words! I appreciate you stopping by ☺️🙏🏻
You performed this so beautifully! And the strings enter and exit at the perfect spots to elevate the whole experience!
Thank you so much! It felt a little bare in that spot with just the piano so I'm happy the strings really rounded out that section 😊
Excellent piano play of this beautiful piece 🎶👍🙂
This is so kind, thank you! 🙏🏻🎶☺️
