For me they definitely go with the line of bike. But leather pros are way more functional and hold lots more stuff. Plus make sure there locked every time you open and close.
I agree, the thing with me though is I absolutely hate having to expand my Leatherpros because I don't like the weight distribution it creates, also just having that extra protrusion coming off the bike navigating city riding - It's definitely on my list to explore this topic a little further
@@FXDLSBrooklyn very true but those piston arms and lock catches can get in the way bigtime loading the stock bags. Again I like and run them and definitely go with line of bike. But not best bags I’ve had and I’ve had several and then some. Since my first 1977. 🇺🇸🇺🇸
The sport glide had a 2-1, but it ran high right where that top pipe of the 2-2 is. So I kind of doubt Harley will make a symmetrical set in the future. The good thing about these bags is you have more exhaust choices, short of an upswept, to choose from.
I would really, really like to run an upswept pipe on this bike, but the professionals tell me this is not a good idea with in conjunction with the bags
My bags work fine for me. I use the smaller bag for my backpack and the other side for all my other crap. If i needed more storage, I throw on my chopped tourpack (cost me about $250).
Clam shell bags..my only issue is the telescopic arm keeps keeps working its way loose and falling off one end..Yeah I know lock tight it..but i shouldn't have too its an arm inside the bag..designed to stop you opening the lid fully and putting pressure on the strap.
I like the looks but I detest the damn things. Once you put any actual stuff in there they don't close tight (with them closed i can push my leg against the front side and it will squish in at least 3/8's which means the latch isn't pulling it truly tight.) at the front and get water in them (at least mine do), trying to stack stuff to keep it out of the way of the struts to be able to close them. The fact small stuff can fall out easily. UGH. Even though their way more practical I hate the looks of leatherpros like a couple saggy ball bags on the bike lol. Advanblack makes a mounting bracket for regular top bags but isn't quick release so I'm waiting for a top load bag setup that has quick release.
They’ll fix the exhaust/bag issue once sales dip. Then a lot will trade in and buy new. Is there anyway to get the exhaust to come out under both bags and have them equal depth?
I feel like a 2-1 in general would solve that problem - Someone brought it up in the comments on this video, this lopsidedness isn't a problem on any of the baggers they offer, so it can be done
Your paws are always touching the paint, vivid blk would show all the scratches, finger nails, ring, keys, crap you don’t want to set down when it’s wet out lol I would PPF them right away, definitely would have a pair of soft bags too
I just don't understand why they didn't go with a 2 into one pipe like the Sport Glide had so the bags would be size balanced. I mean I wouldn't get the bike anyway since I don't like the fixed fairing but I am looking to get a Low Rider S later in the year if I can get a deal. Right now I have a 20 Street Bob with Leather Pros and Memphis Shade windscreens
@FXDLSBrooklyn I know. That's why I'm not in a hurry. I also added cruise control last year. The low rider is a nicer bike with a bigger tank, better brakes, bigger engine, etc. I haven't even test ridden the bike yet so until then I won't know if I'd even like how it feels.
It bothers me I'll admit and I think it's a "FN design team knew better, but were lazy" that bothers me. There's not a person on the design and engineering team at the Corporation that didn't look at the ST and know that every owner would add a 2-1. If you're going to flaunt being a luxury brand, you have to operate like it. And face HD owners sit in the garage, in their bros driveway, on the sidewalk and at the bars admiring the beauty of their motorcycles. The Corporation absolutely markets to that and I'm fine with having a beautiful machine. I'd expect that from Indian perhaps. Or BMW. I'm sure the aftermarket will step up.
@@FXDLSBrooklyn yeaaa if I see some reviews on em I mite even get me a set...I originally wanted the Saddleman brand but it was 6mo lead time...soo 900$ last year I got the LP's which are bad@$$🤘
Sorry man, the lopsided bags are dumb. I mean, I get why the right one is smaller…. OK so why not have the left one match like every other set of bags harley has ever made. Just stupid.

Shoot me a link for the tour pack would be interested to see it

Yeah man - I honestly go back and forth with them - I find the more I use them though the more I just really enjoy the functionality
Goofy with different sized bags but the laptop fits in the left and lunch the right. Lol. That’s all I really care
Truth
My only real complaint is the stabilization bar at the bottom front doesn’t seem meant to be removable or foldaway. It’s an aftermarket opportunity.
😂 anyway wednesday getting my bike
time to start the season XD 45 F right now,no more freezing, getting warmer
Yeah man been a warm winter for us out here in NY
good video. ya reason I went with the viking hard bags over the leatherpros was the locking thing.
Whatever works at the end of the day!
Was that a saddlemen exsplorer seat or just the regular saddleman? The passenger part looks wider 🤔
Good eye! This is the Saddlemen Touring Step Up! Excellent seat 🏁 ⚡️

No

You cannot argue with any of that ☝️

Love my leather pros...you think you'll review the new HD version of the leather pros??🤘🛵
That's definitely the plan - I'm curious to see how they hold up on this model

I Noticed the bag is bigger and i wasn't sure, My Girlfriend says it like a nut sack the left nut hangs lower and i liked it ever since.

I have this bike and the bags look like saggy balls for sure. Sad
bags are too big
Interesting, I think they're pretty proportional
