For all of the commenter's that stated that the defendant didn't have any remorse. Please go back and objectively watch the video. He was torn up and his facial expression was very sad. I am sure there will be some judgemental & jaded ppl that would say he was only sad for himself. But considering all of that & the fact he spared the family having to endure a trial by pleading out I choose to belive he is remorseful. He didn't intentionally kill someone or get behind the will of the car knowing he was drunk. He made a tragic mistake. The law recognizes degrees of culpability why shouldn't we?

The statement by the defense attorney only stoked my anger. Poor hims was abused. Guess what? My brother was hated by my mom. She made that clear at every opportunity. She saved the handles from anything that was replaced. Brooms. Mops. Shovel. Those were what she beat my brother with. She would tell him, "You never should have been born and if you were decent, you would do something about it". He was not allowed to come out to play. He stayed in his room aside from bathroom trips and coming out to eat. Mom cooked for us. Just her and I. George could count on cheese sandwiches or peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. If last night was cheese, tonight was peanut butter and jelly. He was not allowed to get any food from the kitchen. Why, you ask? Because mom hated boys. She didn't even say "boys", she called them booooooweeeeees. Think of bow and ease. Guess what George never did? He never fled from police. He never drove without a license. Mom said he would never amount to anything. She was so wrong. He joined the Army. Spent 16 years there. He met his wife on his first station. They struggled to have children, but when they came, they had 3 in close succession. George never thought of treating his children as he had been treated. After he left the Army, he worked in the private sector. Computers, all of it. He could wire a newly constructed building for all of their needs. They had a nice home, three successful children. He had a Mustang that he restored and customized. Led Ham radio. Kept up the website for the Ham group, and his high school class, along with his own. What he didn't do was go wreck people's lives because he needed to break the law and flee the police. He didn't take any lives. My brother had two types of cancer, and the brain cancer won the battle. Do I feel sorry for this stain that was sentenced too little time? Nope. His mush mouth apology meant nothing. He is sorry that he has to serve some time. One victim is gone forever, and it looks like the other may never be back at the job he loved.
Excuse for him he kill a mother a aunt way was he driving this lady is gone he is still going be here and for time he is going be jail to amount of for killing some one he have no remorse

Usually yes. And it is like this almost all over the world. Unless they have priors or were under the influence while driving, they go free most of the time (they get parole) or spend a few months in jail. That's pretty much it! I know more than one case of car accidents on four different countries where people died and none of the drivers went to jail.

Car accidents are rarely considered murders. It is, as it's called, an accident. Unless one drives over/into someone on purpose or they are under the influence while driving, or they have priors, they rarely go to jail and when they do, just for a few months as in this case. This situation is not an exception, but the rule!
IT WAS AN ACCIDENT!! SADLY PEOPLE ARE LOST IN TRAGIC ACCIDENTS DAILY!! YES IT IS VERY SAD BUT COME ON!! IT COULD HAVE BEEN THE OTHER WAY AROUND!! BUT IF HE WOULD HAVE BEEN THE 1 TO DIE?? THATS WHY THEY ARE ACCIDENTS & SADLY THE ONLY WAY TO AVOID THOSE WOULD BE JUST TO NEVER EVER BE ON THE ROAD !!🙅🏼♀️
He killed 1, almost 2 people and got 14(ish) years. What is wrong with this state
It was a plea deal with the state, and the Judge agreed accordingly with the law. You need to change the laws not just complainin.

Whatever he was fleeing the police from I am sure was not worth this. SMH
He has no remorse
How do you know that?
@ for one: they never do. 2. They only regret their life being ruined and 3. his facial expression.

He was sentenced according to the law. 😉
Most unfortunate all parties agreed tbh-he has NO remorse or a tear for the 2 families he has FOREVER changed for the negative.

This judge is so patient, soft spoken, loving and considerate! ❤❤❤
Free him
This defendant appears unmoved by the victim statements which had me in tears, hearing
There are no winners in this situation. I do believe he is remorseful. Praying for everyone.
This sentence is a joke
Ridiculous sentence for reckless killing of innocent people, sends a wrong message to similar offenders….
This dude should never be allowed out.
If he's released from prison....
I would direct my words to the criminal not to the judge it wasn't her family
No. Tears no remorse terrible
Should been life in prison without possibility of parole

So sad 😞 prayers 🙏 for thr whole family .I can't believe only 14 years .😢
He didn’t get 14 years he’s gonna be in prison for only 14 months
What video did you watch? Watch again the ending! He got 21 months, only part of which will be spent in jail.
Listen to sentencing on count 1! Much more than 14 months folks.
