      Thanks Brent! Yeah, I'm being a little more careful and just retrieving it when it gets in a bind now instead of pushing it too hard! The upgrades did come out pretty awesome, I'm glad I did them! Yeah the magic bridge is getting there but not done yet! I have more planned for it, this is only the start! Thanks for checking out the video brother!

      Thanks Mark! yeah, I already had the parts on ordered from Amain by the time the last video was published! The oil filled shock conversion was an awesome improvement although the bouncing did add to the realism! Thanks for your support brother, I appreciate you always stopping by!

      @CactusCrawlersRC . FMS sells the metal set on their site. Mine just pulled out and deformed a bit, if I couldn't salvage it, I was ready to pull parts off my K10 until the replacements arrived.

      Thanks brother, I like having the little guys and the backyard course because of the temps we get here in Arizona it's just too crazy to go crawling in the desert! (it was 114 today!) I knew I was going to get the Fall Guy version when they came out, just trying to make Colt Severs proud! Yeah, the 80's did rule!

    I was so excited to get mine in the mail today. First lil rc car I've ever ordered. I got the white and orange rig. Plugged it in... waited for it to charge... was super careful with it. Was a lil confused on how to get it going but after reading the instructions got her going. I drove it around the living room for a few minutes the was so stoked to take it outside. I literally had it outside for bout 3 minutes until a small weed wrapped around the rear axel and broke the rear diff u-joint piece 🥴. Now it's just sitting in the dinning room unsure of what to so with it 💁‍♂️
    Was so stoked to get it but after 3 minutes of run time kinda just wanna throw it in the trash 🗑

      @CactusCrawlersRC  Год назад +1

      Thanks for checking out the video Mike! I'm sorry to hear that you had a breakage right off the bat too, I think it may have been a bad run of u-joints since after replacing mine it's been pretty rock solid ever since. ( I try not too push it too hard in hard spots tho) At least the part isn't expensive and fairly easy to replace. Don't give up on it yet, it really is a pretty good rig!

      @@CactusCrawlersRC oh it's all good. Was just a lil bummed out that my first experience in the hobby lasted for less than 5 minutes. I live in deep east Texas so there is only one small hobby shop in my area.... I took th unit up there and they said they stopped carrying th fms units about a year ago to similar issues. However he suggested I send my unit back to Amazon and get a refund ( which I'm in the process of doing) and turned me onto the Traxxas trx4m model bronco! They are a dealer for Traxxas and have so many parts on hand and work on Trax units! I think it will be. A better fit for me due to my limited knowledge and access to parts. Looking forward to picking up my crawler next week 💯

    I had the yoke on mine break today after being bound up in deep snow. Luckily, it was salvageable, but I ordered the metal driveshaft set.

    Does the part of the yoke that at attaches to the diff have a D shaped hole on the side?

    Have you noticed that with the rear bumper removed the slots in the rear pan are the perfect size and spacing for dual exhaust? I've mentioned this elsewhere on the interweb in hopes that someone with a 3D printer would take the idea and run but so far... crickets. Might be a clever way to get rid of the hang-up bumper but make it look purposeful.

    • @CactusCrawlersRC
      @CactusCrawlersRC  Год назад +1

      Hi Badger! Yeah, you're not the only one I've seen make mention of that! I wish I could remember who it was but someone did make a couple of dual exhaust pipes that would screw into the same place the stock bumper would! I wish I had a 3D printer, I'd be figuring this one out for sure! Thanks for the awesome comment!

    How do you like the those tires? Do they limit steering?Debating on going bigger... Definitely looks cool

    • @CactusCrawlersRC
      @CactusCrawlersRC  Год назад +1

      Hi Steve! Yeah, I'm digging them, eventually I would like to try the softest compound (I got #3) but these still work awesomely! I have found out that the steering is affected (limited) when the truck's track gets this wide but it's not due to the tires, they aren't much bigger than stock!

    Just a quick question here. For some reason my drive shaft connecting to the front diff seems pushed out a bit and I was wondering if it is the drive shaft that needs to be replaced of the small gear inside of the diff because it leaves a small gap

    • @CactusCrawlersRC
      @CactusCrawlersRC  Год назад

      That's a good question, I took a look at mine and there's no gap that I would be concerned with. Have you took the shafts off of the front and rear to compare how much each one sticks out? is there more play in one over the other? That would help determine if you have to go into the diff housing or not. It's hard to tell when you don't have the truck in front of you. If you do need to replace the pinion gear that might be a good time to consider an overdrive set! Good luck on your investigation, thanks for watching!

    • @urielcoria6511
      @urielcoria6511 Год назад +1

      @@CactusCrawlersRC I think it may be the pinion gear cause it’s pretty loose but I was able to get it to hold but the drive shaft seems to slip out and just nudge it back in a bit

    • @CactusCrawlersRC
      @CactusCrawlersRC  Год назад +1

      @@urielcoria6511 you might try a small washer or o-ring in between the pinion and bearing, that might help take up the slack
