The Acure continues to deliver! The P & L one is nice but I hate how small it is. I also really wish the Acure was bigger. I’d happily pay double for double size. Neogen might be good for summer. I still like Bonjour Waterbomb for day time, but idk after watching Dr. Idriss, maybe I need something more occlusive…

You're not alone!! Protini definitely and always has foamed up on me as well!! I find it does this usually when I put it over Vitamin C. But it eventually soaks in!! It's just really annoying but I luv Protini!!! Also the Peach and Lily foamed up on me the other night when I put it on top of Avanced night repair. Thanks for all your knowledge and advice I appreciate you!!!

You are fabulous! I was cracking up at the way eyes 👀 lit up with excitement when you joked about how much you love “geeking” out on peptides. Your excitement is contagious! I finally wrote to what I thought was Dr. Pickart’s company to clarify why he said not to use copper peptides with Tretinoin & mistakenly emailed the wrong company (Platimum Skincare) whose website ironically says that their copper peptides work great with Tretinoin. So now I need to email the doctor’s company fo hopefully finally get clarification about whether he meant “don’t use at all while on Tret” or just not on same day, etc. If you have any info on this, pls let us know. Thanks for your genuine enthusiasm and no BS approach. Your videos are a bright spot to my days!

Wonderful video! I actually own the first three mentioned. (Yes, I'm a frugal gal.) What moisturizer with peptides would you recommend for the really hot months (i.e. June & July in the U.S.)?
The Protini moisturizer is my #1 moisturizer. Even when I try others, I always come back to it. I recently repurchased a refill, and thankfully I don’t experience the foaming/frothing. I’m interested in trying the one by Ole Henriksen though.
The Ole Henriksen is on my list to add to my routine next winter. I like fragrance in my skincare but have many favourites that are fragrance free as well. I don't mind fragrance

Bought a new moisturizer during the Sephora Rouge sale; InnBeauty Extreme Cream. Lots of peptides & ceramides; i like it at night.
I agree on 2 points:
1) protini froths for me too; (but so does acure)
2) I'd be obsessed with olehenrikson strength trainer if only it was unscented

What are your thoughts on the specific peptides listed in the skin fix peptide ingredient list? Kelly Driscoll reviewed the product several years ago (& re-reviewed it again last year after they changed formulation slightly) & mentioned the only “peptides” listed in ingredients is a 3 “neutropeptide” protein blend which when she looked it up, whatever peptide was in there was apparently just rice bran extract. (I’m not sure if they’ve added anything with the most recent reformulation.) Did you know about this? She also mentioned she didn’t find the older version to be very hydrating, like no matter how thick it is that it needs to really be massaged in, she felt like it sort of felt like it dried out her skin as soon as she put it on, and she felt like she needed to put more on (but didn’t). It (original formula, apparently new one no longer does this) left a heavy film on her skin but her follow up review of newer formulation, had her liking it a little better in terms of it not feeling so heavy on the skin, but she’s still not thrilled with the promotion of peptides, but the lack of much in the ingredients. I know you know a LOT about peptides so I was curious what you think of the peptide in the latest reformulated ingredient list. If you don’t think it’s impressive or find it equally vague, I may pass. I was disappointed to hear about the Ltd peptides (esp at that price point!) because this was one of few without NIA which my eyes need. I was planning to try to hunt this down at TJ Maxx like you recommended as I’d like to avoid paying full price in case it doesn’t work out. I’m confused whether the protini was refirmulated since i’ve read so many negative reviews on it on Sephora in the past few months complaining about it, breaking them out so coupled with your experiences with the two jars bubbling up, I am skeptical. I’d love to try a sample first before shelling out all that money. I’m not totally convinced that serums are getting through my skin (Vit C seems to but not the Timless Matrixyl Synthe 6 which leaves a soapy finish on skin) so I was considering the Allies of skin super expensive moisturizer just because it has all those peptides and I thought maybe the peptides would be more likely to get into my skin and a moisturizer, as opposed to a serum? I would try the Neogen High R Exosome, but it has niacinamide which I can’t get near my eyes. Sorry, I know there’s a bunch of questions on there, but I would love your thoughts, if time permits. Here’s Kelly’s reviews in case I didn’t paraphrase it very well. I’m not great at that.. 😂

Ooh my new favorite genre. Are these ok to use over vitamin c? I bought the PTR one but I think they changed the formula not just packaging 🤔.
I’ve heard you shouldn’t use copper peptides with L-ascorbic acid or other strong antioxidants, but it should be fine with vitamin C derivatives (like 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid or sodium ascorbyl phosphate, etc)
The Protini is literally thee only moisturizer that gives me instant lasting hydration to my severe dry skin. I have tried all the brands showcased in this video and many more, and nothing absolutely nothing compares to the hydration that I get from the Protini. I hate that I love it so much because it’s so freaking expensive.

What a bummer that the DE is foaming up. Why do so many companies keep messing with the ingredient? I know you said your friend said she didn’t notice it. Do you think you got a bad container or have all containers since it happened, foam up on you? They would be a deal breaker for me at the price. I wanted to rey the one with Snap 8 but not with fragrance. I keep checking AOS sale for BOGO free but they’ve cut that out; instead, they offer a specific free product. I missed the one I wanted; they ran out of the eye cream & wont let me finish my order to ship later so I guess I’ll stay tuned for their next sale.
You know, I was just thinking about this last night, I'm starting to wonder if the Protini I got was "off" I have a sample jar of it I got as a GWP, maybe I'll pull that one out and see if I have different results. The new fragrance free version of the Good Molecules Super Peptide Serum has Snap-8 in it! And it is fragrance free! That might be a nice way to try out Snap-8 without spending tons of $$$

Abby looked so precious in her Christmas sweater with that itty-bitty cone on. I think I may have to have a carrot catching competition with my dogs. They’re not big fans of the mini carrots, though.
@@NOBSBeauty You mentioned layering a thicker moisturizer between with Theramid 3% CP and Tret. How many moisturizers do you use a night? If I were to need to layer in between those two, that would be a third moisturizer. I start with my NIOD SDSM mist, my Timeless Matrixyl Synthe 6 serums, then I sometimes swap the order of next two: 15% Azelaic acid gel or Cerave pm light, then Tretinoin and finally, a heavier moisturizer to lock it all in. I can’t imagine, adding a third moisturizer in there. Wouldn’t that be too much moisturizer, esp in summer? If I was going put a thicker one between the copper peptides, and Tret, then I guess I could not use one at the end, but I really believe that final step of moisturizer helps my skin from drying out, especially now that I’m on the .05 Altreno. That & the AzA finally started my skin exfoliating after 6 mos of nothing on .025 Tret cream & same rx Aza gel. I’m thankful to finally see something happening but hate to be missing out on CP. I’m so frustrated. I think that cosmetic chemist, kind of Stephen, who said there should be no issues using together, was speaking of encapsulated copper peptides. Of course, the one I finally decide I want to try is the Theramid unencapsulated one.🙄
