As an INFP musician, I can totally relate, the coffee shops are the best places to play, and it's better whet they give you coffee for free. ☕👌It's also so scary to think about level up the thing, like, most of the time I don't really think I'm good enough 🙃

The INTP one is very accurate. It's the exact reason why I love electronic music made on computers above all else; it offers unlimited possibilities, potential for complexity and sonic experimentation. I don't understand why people get hung up on some ''need'' to use actual musical instruments, they're only limiting the possibilities and making it significantly harder to achieve anything. At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is the ability to write compelling music and to translate it into sound... also good sound quality, so sound engineering is crucial.

That is really true! I tried to play with my keyboard (has only 68 (or so) keys) but I did feel some of the nice tones when I just randomly hit some.

As an INFP, that hit pretty hard, since it applies to more then just music.. but everything I do. Since I don't actually want to see the extent of my potential, what if its not that great after all at least this way I can live in denial.

As an ENTJ musician I think this might be your best yet...I immediately went back and watched it again (though I admit to doing so partially because I wanted to check out your music chops). The Davie bass smackdown was epico! When you showed an orchestral conductor, I knew it was ENTJ. Oh, and the ISTJ 'jazz' musician looking for music was hilarious!

As an INFJ that is totally me lol. There are multiple things that have drawn me to everything and anything artistic and musical but one of them is art is just a blank slate where you can express your emotions in a way that you don't have to do with words. That's why I love dance so much. You tell a story through movement instead of words.

As an INTJ, if I had talent in music, I would learn how to play on like 10-15 instruments, record myself playing on the ones that I need in the song+myself singing it, i would learn how to photoshop, and then I would put idk how many "clones" of me in the video, playing on different musical instruments, singing, and maybe even dancing. It would look like a Postmodern Jukebox video (I would sing in their style among others, too), just one person would do all the work. This way I could avoid awkward group work. I wouldn't have to give a damn about other's opinions. I would be free.
My husband is an INTJ and actually learned one instrument before realizing he could just pick up other instruments, figure out the way they operate and immediately begin playing as though he was trained on that instrument. This is the reason we have several intrumemts in our house. He likes to play them all. And your plan for having your own one man band is EXACTLY the type of take over the world scheme he would come up with. Cracks me up! 😂

Oh, yes. Reading sheet music is a wonderful ability, but I think learning it beginning at age 8 hampered my ability to do stuff by ear. I was so proud when I sounded out how to play a measure or two to make a piano version seem fuller (i.e. like the recording).

INTJ is accurate. Before picking up the bass, played trumpet for nearly 20 years. Like introverts in a group session, it's all about the solo.

So me(INTJ) and my husband (INTP) recently got into the FJ videos and binged the sketches laughing at every part our types come up and just go "This is totally you". And then we got to this video. The mayonnaise part broke my husband. It has been 3 days now and he is still trying to find out if mayonnaise can be used as an instrument... help..
😂 This comment is GOLD!!! My husband is an INTJ and I'm an ambivert ISFJ. So, I would be the one who needed to spend three weeks perfecting one song before I would feel ready to take on the song I wanted to play for something special for a loved one. Also, my husband totally picked up a bass guitar one day without ever having played that instrument and played such a great riff that our church worship team put him on stage playing bass that Sunday. 😂
We constantly watch these and laugh as soon as each other's personality come up. The INTJ is my favorite character because my husband is like that through and through. 😂
As far as your mayonnaise bottle debacle... I'm not sure there is any help available for that. New mayo bottles are manufactured every day... and even if they were all confiscated, he might move on to ketchup bottles. 😂

You are so passionate and genuine yet you still feel the need to analy probe everyone from time to time. It's like that weird kid at kindergarten that has the attention span of a rice grain but is really fun to play with, except it randomly punches you just to keep you on your toes. It's a weird love-hate relationship for me. The duality is a bit complicated for my understanding as well.

Yes! Smallsteps are best for me as an ISFJ! I am progressing further and continuing to never give up on my goals! At least I’m moving forward and not backwards! Also I am learning Lyra right now and just got a hoop of my own and I am getting better and better each day as I practice what I have already learned!
My gosh, as a musician and someone who STILL doesn't know if they are an INFJ or a mistyped INTP, this made it so much harder - *they are both so accurate.*
I am an INTP MBTI and INFJ Grant. The way I live spells INTP. Someone else do the math on how many more personalities are needed in MBTI to overlap all of the personalities.
INTJ - Decided to teach myself to play bass when I was a teen. Started with Metallica - Anesthesia (if you're not familiar with it, it's an incredible bass solo by the late, great Cliff Burton). I managed to get to the point where I could play it at half-speed before I had to give up. Unbeknownst to me at the time, I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a connective tissue disorder that causes my joints to hyperextend and dislocate easily. Bass requires a lot of finger pressure and I would have to end each practice session after about 15 - 20 minutes when my fingers would get stuck hyperextended backwards and I would have to spend the rest of the day coaxing them back into proper alignment.
The songs I like are either soul penetrating or completely meaningless catchy songs... No in between xD

I am an INFP drummer and when I started drumming, the first thing I did was naming my sticks, drums and cimbles.
I'm not gonna tell them all, but my drumsticks names are Ringo Starr and Keith Moon. And, yes, I can tell them apart. And, yes, they do each have their own hand: Ringo goes in the left hand and Keith in the right. And, yes, when they're in the wrong hands I cannot play anymore!
I am also an INFP drummer, and I think I might have to start doing this. 😂
I am an INFJ writer, and that is legit how I approach my books. I as the author can only pose the question! The story will provide the answer if there is one! 🤣
Same here, im writing about a character who is lost, trying to find meaning. Yet, I myself as the author struggle with the answers, and I get lost. Lol. How do u deal with this as a writer?
@@nikkig9630 It's a conundrum, isn't it? 😅 So far my experience has taught me to trust the story. For my own sake, writing has become my therapy, and in some ways my meaning, too.

This is why I love musical pieces (classical in particular) more than any other music genre. It expresses my feelings without any need for words because most of the time my feelings and emotions are so difficult to express in actual words.
We constantly search for the meaning of things, deep things such as the meaning of life. If we don't find it in a song or piece, it won't make it in our multiple-by-genre playlists.

Infp here and that’s so accurate!! I play 9 instruments but prefer to play for myself and friends only. I basically collect instruments cause each makes me feel a different way LOL I get nervous playing in big crowds, the coffee shop gig life is goals tbh😭🎶

As an ISFJ music student, the ISTJ one actually more accurately describes me for once... there's a reason I avoid jazz and stick to classical piano :D
as an ISTJ musician I can honestly say 100% accurate. I stuck to classical because improvised solos scare the crap out of me. And I play saxophone.

As an INFJ composer, I 100% relate to the INFJ in this video. I write wordless music for that exact reason…but also because it’s easier for my brain to describe things with music than with words.
