I just got out of an interview for Peer Support and am very glad that I listed some of those questions as I got asked them. The company were very impressed that I was prepared. Saved my bacon and probably gave me an advantage for getting the job. Thanks so much, really appreciate this video!
@@ElaineD1986 Hey Miss Dee. You will be fine. They asked me how I would deal with a conflict situation with both my peers and also supervisors. They also asked me how I saw myself as a team member. Whether I was able to drive and had a clean record with a reliable vehicle. Also what strengths and weaknesses I saw in myself. I had to list 3 of each and I took this channel's advice and said more strengths and with my weaknesses gave a workaround so that it was positive. I did end up getting the job so am very pleased. Good luck! Be yourself and you will be fine. :)

I have done a lot of interviews but I can tell u I prefer zoom interview than in person interview. All the in person interview I had at the past wasn’t that successful but zoom ones was the best, is always good to arrive 15-30min in person interview that counts as well.

I know video is a few years old but currently im in my mid 40s. I havnt had an interview in years. Its mainly been hire on the spot or people ive known through other jobs. I am on the verge of either getting laid off or being forced to quit my job and ive discovered dsp jobs from a former coworker. I have been offered a job as a mental health support worker, i am so happy! Some of the questions were straight forward, such as what skills do you think you need to work with an individual with MH issues?, what kind of support do you think you can give them?, what would you do if a service user was being aggressive to you?, how will you work in collaboration with other organisations?, how would you cope if the organisation was asking too much of you?, How would you handle a service user saying inappropriate things to you?, And what do you think are the biggest issues someone with MH issues face?
