Ever get it man? I had that same desire as you when i was 8-13 until I got my honda cr125r. My first bike was a xr80, dad almost got me a RM85L aa my second bike but didnt think i waa ready n got me a klx140L lol.
That is genius. Probably a good thing a relatively low powered electric washer is used. A beefy gas one might be too much. I have an electric AR Blue Clean unit, will have to give this a try with my 300's dented pipe.
just become friends with your local butcher and or use your large freezer at home and fill the pipe with water. dont even need to cap the ends as long as the water is filled to the area with the dent the water will freeze and expand and push the dent out. too many times and the pipe will split. if you live where the weather gets freezing cold then you have downtime for the bike anyway so then you can use nature to do the work for you.
Cool for the DIY people who don't mind the risk. Figure that pressure comes-up very fast - maybe more likely to fail a seam? For the careful ones like me, perhaps a Hydroforce rig is better? $300 for a pipe and $120 for a Hydroforce - seems like a no brainer (says he who doesn't have one - but next time I am in the UK I will get one for sure).
I don't wanna break my Karcher, so if i have filled my exhaust with water, better to put in the fridge and let the ice make it's job while i get some beers ;) (But great job!).
Seen a few pipes blown up like that by a guy I ride with, he blinded himself once for a few minutes when he was tapping it with a hammer. Also been at his house and we where hiding in the shed flicking the switch with it outside on the drive.
they do that to tankers. but put a positive air pressure into the tank that is almost full off water. Water does not compress. you do run the risk of creating other leaks tho.
Good idea but a 4k psi pressure washer would turn that into a pipe bomb, it would probably be best to only use a small household pressure washer like you did.
Nope, that's not the case. Using air pressure or some other gas is stupid, using water is by far safer. Look up hydro testing. They fill gas chambers with water and pressurize them to test them.
Hi . I have crushed the exhaust to the cylinder outlet against the frame of the motorcycle. Will the dented area take delivery due to its smaller diameter?
Noticed the bung for an air/fuel meter. Does it work on your 2T? I have heard it does not work? I am about to weld one on a 2t. Is it going to work as it does on a 4t?
Would it work on a petrol tank? Whilst also using a blow torch? And if so, what do you recommend draining the water properly to prevent the tank rusting
fieldmarshaljoe sorry i misread your comment. this eould probably work on a gas tank but it probably eould rust bad. maybe coat it in oil or gas or... something like that. idk i would use the air heat method for that
+byadRi Yes you can blow it up, but it depends how strongly you connect water hose. It the question what will give up first, is it metal pipe or just hose connection.
fuzzy176 putting a flame to something thats filled with air or gas etc and air tight is dumb. heat will make the air want to expand but it cant cause its trapped making it even more likely that it'll explode
Yahamaha Life The heat when it is already under high pressure does not make a big difference. Also you do pre heat the bump up to red glowing without any pressure, then add pressure and heat the bumps again until they start chumming out. The method of heating of the bumps to get them softer and adding pressure actually give LESS risk of it exploding since you need a lot less pressure to get the bumps out. You also have much more control over the process and get better final result then simply adding pressure until they pop out.
Pressure washer it looked like, an electric one. I just did the heat and ait method with homemade clamps. Works fine. Plus playing with fire is fun versus water.
That's not how you fix it, here's how. Order new pipe from rocky mountain Put old pipe in box from new pipe. Return box to Rocky mountain. Receive refund. Now you have turned a old pipe into a new pipe, it's magic.
I have followed your channel for years. Unfortunately this is nothing but a gimmick. I bought one because I was on the fence and it is complete junk. I have a 2000 cr250 pipe and not only does it NOT fit but after HOURS and hours of modifications it still leaks air. And the worst part, there’s no option for a refund. You have promoted quality products on this channel but now you’re promoting this eBay crap? Definitely going to unsubscribe and wouldn’t trust another word you say.
Cool beans! Now i just need a 2 stroke bike :(

I just simply put water in mine and set it in the freezer. started doing that when I was 10.
I thaught of that just before this video started...thaught he was gunna freeze the damn thing. does it actually pull the dents out though?
Really?
Jess Roberts: LOL that's amazing!!!!! Never thought of that b4. Thanks bro
anybody try it?
@@taffgriff69 Water expands when you freeze it so yes it does work. If it goes to far you can split the pipe seams...
That's great, i wish i'd thought of this in the 90's, i used to use 2lbs of air pressure, and a heating tourch, it worked, but this seems better...
That worked surprisingly well
absolutely FUCKING BRILLIANT!! I will remember that.
Nice! Perfect for fuel tanks too!

Not gon lie when it popped i jumped nice work😂😂😂

Nah, its water dude..won't do any damage except get you wet..
Michael Steven till you put that in the engine
Not compressible
@@7eis I was 15 I didn't think about that. I guess it would just split and leak out
1:12 oh my poor heart didn't ready for this 🤣
I don't wanna break my Karcher, so if i have filled my exhaust with water, better to put in the fridge and let the ice make it's job while i get some beers ;) (But great job!).
did you fill the whole exhaust with water?
Put it straight back on the bike with the water still in it
I do this every time and water shoots out the exhaust silencer... apparently its really good to flush the bike out with water...
@@motomash6143 , I like your work
@@motomash6143 , I usually run a tank full of water through the carb and engine every 6 months just to keep it fresh

Me, Myself and I
Curious as to if this would work with my Honda 3 wheeler gas tank
they do that to tankers. but put a positive air pressure into the tank that is almost full off water. Water does not compress. you do run the risk of creating other leaks tho.
Well, that worked a treat.
Hey and it also cleans the exaust 🙈
Nice job there.

Demon50 not really, has no compressable material
Nope, that's not the case. Using air pressure or some other gas is stupid, using water is by far safer. Look up hydro testing. They fill gas chambers with water and pressurize them to test them.
Demon50 am I missing something here? Who even said anything about a 4k psi washer?
Water isn't compressible so it would do nothing but fall off, if you got air pockets stuck that would be a different story
If it would to expolode it would make a smal bang and spill some water out check colinfurzes video
What kinda Hose clamps did you use?
Hi . I have crushed the exhaust to the cylinder outlet against the frame of the motorcycle. Will the dented area take delivery due to its smaller diameter?
Smaller diameter is way harder and if it's sharp dent then may be not fully.
Noticed the bung for an air/fuel meter. Does it work on your 2T? I have heard it does not work? I am about to weld one on a 2t. Is it going to work as it does on a 4t?
Great! Thanks for this!
Would it work on a petrol tank? Whilst also using a blow torch? And if so, what do you recommend draining the water properly to prevent the tank rusting
fieldmarshaljoe it should be coated in carbon so the water csnt even get close to the steel
fieldmarshaljoe and what does it matter. nobody will see it, and if it rusts through you just need to buy a new pipe
fieldmarshaljoe sorry i misread your comment. this eould probably work on a gas tank but it probably eould rust bad. maybe coat it in oil or gas or... something like that. idk i would use the air heat method for that
Were you able to fix the bend on the first curve of the pipe? Mine is bent in the same place. Got everything else out but that.
No... first curve is so strong. This method won't fix small sharp dents as well
Whow!! Amazing!!! Whow.👌
In the freezer, LOL!!!! THAT'S BRILLIANT !!!!!!! 🍻
Simply you run your karcher and get the dents out?
It wiill blow up?
+byadRi Yes you can blow it up, but it depends how strongly you connect water hose. It the question what will give up first, is it metal pipe or just hose connection.
that's awesome have to try it!
Hästi tehtud!
you know you could have just pressured it up underwater in that bin and it wouldn't have shot off on you
Brilliant.
@riksx hi bud where can I find those clamps? Having trouble finding online.
You can't... it's home made
Very clever👍
Nice job 👍
Is it home made? (clamp)
Jepp... just find steel plate, drill two holes, weld two nuts and stick some rubber between.... done = )
That was sweet....
What max psi is that Karcher can produce?
K7 ~280 psi
Con caliente y aire tambien salen👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Think i might give this a go like !
Thanks for showing me this. I'm going to try this for sure. How many psi is that?
around 2100 psi
AWESOME!
Awsome !!!!
A bit dangerous mate but good on you!
someone told me that if u fill ur pipe water and put ur pipe a in the frezer that would help the pipe to
So I guess in theory this should work on a fuel tank as well??
slabby rider yeah! Works a treat, just don’t leave it too long as it can split the seams...
You can do that with cheese.
Just put compress air in it and then just slowly heat the dent whit torch the result is perfect
fuzzy176 putting a flame to something thats filled with air or gas etc and air tight is dumb. heat will make the air want to expand but it cant cause its trapped making it even more likely that it'll explode

Same thing with a gas tank, fill with water and freeze
What do u use for seals
Cylinder side was old tyre inner hose and for other side was hydraulic hose what fited
what stuff do i need to do this
???????

now invest in some knuckles for your fixed pipe and you're set forever
I just tried this with my 250 pipe and it busted it.. :(
In freezer wont work as good as this.
Why do those dents happen
i am sadAF rocks, loose gravel etc
AtomicReloads oh lol i thought that just thought it would be less of an obvious thing
Niiiice!!!
Compressed air and heat will take that all the way
Amazing
neat
This can warp the pipe
supermario?
nice
If my pipe looked so shit I'd go New and let some cheap ass buy my bashed up one from eBay
Nice work!!
I made exhaust too, look my video
Nice
what is the purpose? to clean up the carbon?
To fix the dent...
