One of the things I don't think you covered is Murray Hill Club is a blend of 18 and 11 year old bourbons together with 9 year old light whiskey. If you were trying to explain a kind of richness thinned out, that would be the light whiskey's effect on the older bourbon. There are more than one type of Calvados - some are very dry and some are sweeter. Sounds like the barrels used were a much drier style that explains the finish. A sweeter style would give more fruit forward notes.

This was right behind RR15 for me. Because it was a complex pour for me from start to finish

It is definitely complex. Maybe the most difficult involved pour we’ve tested.

The price is certainly a deal breaker same with the cigar blend it’s 199 around here if you see it at all. I’ll stick with rare breed for 180 I can buy 4 bottles of it and I’d be set for awhile.
