Definitely love the fabric capes and especially the wired capes would love to see them move the majority of the line to fabric capes and for bigger characters have wired capes.
For this, I think a wired cape benefits the character HIGHLY. This is a character who benefits well from crazy posing. Owning the other four Cass figures (the Mattel, two DC Direct, and last year's McFarlane Cave Batgirl that was Cass) it really helps pop more. I think the only hindrance for me is I'd rather have newly sculpted alternate hands for this Cass. Give me some fist or fighting stance hands. I'd take those over the reused accessories. Being a big fan of this character I preordered the full two. I fully intend to use the "unmasked" Batwoman Beyond head from a while back and kitbash an unmasked face. Plus use a Gundam marker to fix the side eye issue on that figure and give her brown eyes.
I dont prefere one or the other but if the only option is a super wacky pre posed cape then I'm probably going to swap it out for a different platic/rubber cape or cloth but a wired cloth cape from the get go is the best of both worlds! I initially passed on the batwoman beyond figure because I just don't know the character but when this Cassandra Cain was revealed I went back for the unmasked batwoman beyond specifically for the head for this figure and the flame effects for steel!
Already put my preorder down when the Mcfarlane toys announcement dropped about Cass Batgirl figure was coming but had lukewarm expectations on the quality of the figure, so it’s good to hear that it’s overall good/decent despite the recycled molds from the Babs Batgirl figures but us Cass fans gotta take what we can get. Now if only Mcfarlane Toys could hook us up with a Stephanie Brown Batgirl (either her current suit or her solo Batgirl comic run suit) so we can pair her w/ Cass🥰
@@gregarcher8177she went up for preorder on Jan. 30th & i’d imagine that you can still try to preorder a figure from either Mcfarlane Toys mainsite or Target before she drops on the first week of May
Exactly. Justified it by saying the old Cass figures are only going to get more and more expensive, and I already overpaid for the DC Super Heroes one as I saw her in my local comic shop [still sealed] back in December for $60 + taxes. I'm just excited to have Cassandra stuff that isn't bulky, cumbersome statues.
"Unfortunately she didn't have the longevity of Barbara Gordon." Yeah, you can thank DC itself for that. Horrible bad decision after horrible bad decision and booted to limbo for years due to Barbara Gordon coming back as Batgirl. Thank goodness the heart of that problem, Dan DiDio, got fired in 2020 and the character has slowly been rising back up in prominence. That's true longevity for ya.
Msn it's kinda sad 😔 that Cassandra is mute and has her bat cowl stitched to her fsce, However I think this figure looks cool snd looks comic accurate, I don't have her but my friend might get me the black and grey version of Hush Batman along with Tim Drake red and green suited Robin, Great review.
The top looks different from the other one there's an A cut in the middle where the original body doesn't have that, also the lines on Cassandra isn't on the other top. And last the bust the original body curves around towards the middle outling the bust while Cassandra's doesn't.
This is a nice looking Cassandra Cain Batgirl figure on the part of McFarlane Toys. It's a different look for the character, which isn't a bad thing. I like the head sculpt. The paint application is clean, aside from the gold that's on the back of the belt. The fabric wire frame cape is a nice inclusion. It looks much more natural than a plastic cape. The only is that the Batarang is a bit too big, but that's been an issue with McFarlane Toys figures for a while now. Thanks, Spot! I really appreciate the hard work! Keep it up! God bless and stay safe!
I hate the plastic capes. Most of them are made so rigid that you're even more hindered when it comes to posing. I use the figures for photos and I really would like to see fabric capes.

Stunning looking New Batgirl Figure by McFarlane. 😎👌😃👍👍

I like the character i found her interesting. no mans land was my all time favorite batman storyline.
I have always preferred fabric capes over plastic capes in any toy line. There is just more realism to them.

When did she go up, I missed the announcement and where can I preorder her?

They are still releasing figures with those hideous ankle ball joints? NO!

DC may as well have stood for Disappointing Content when it was under Didio.

The wired cape is great feature! I’ll want to get this figure. I’d just want to her have some red color in her batsuit.

Great Video Spot I Enjoyed it very much 😀
Glad you enjoyed it
Love this, do kind of wish her head was larger but it's the better Batgirl Cass figure that we've gotten in forever.
The Gold Label Wally West Flash retails for $19.99 at Walmart but this figure retails at Target for $22.99. Make it make sense.
I love this character design
I might just get this figure for the cape

Don’t know if it’s just me . But them legs are too long for that body . Last few female figures from McFarlane all seem to have overly long legs 🤷🏻♂️
Love the vids by the way .
