Your speech from 10:15 to the end of the video is the key concept. Mr. Titan: All my respect to your passion for education and all the efforts you apply to demonstrate that your vision is possible. Thank you for the freshness and inspiration you transfer with your words, but most important with your actions.

20 yr old, 2nd year Machinist apprentice here. You're definitely right about needing to get this trade more exposure! This industry is huge but most guys working as Machinists/CNC Programmers are 40+ years old. More youth should get into this, crazy good money to be made and it's challenging and enjoyable work.

    Titan, you're a hero man!
You're laying bare the inner workings of machining and I know you're doing that to help America. Everyone else keeps their operations more secret than the Manhattan Project and kids can't dream about an industry shrouded in secrecy.
I really appreciate you and what you're doing! You are a modern day super hero and you are lifting up America like Atlas lifting the globe, by himself.
Thank you sooooo much for being who you are! You remade yourself into an amazing person. I wish every guy in America would pattern themselves after your example - we'd be unstoppable!
You're the Paradigm Breaker, showing the world a better way.
    Thank you :)

It's humbling to watch someone with so much passion, working in a country where success isn't looked down on. You are so right: manufacturing is the key to economic and societal success. The young need to be encouraged to see industry as exciting, fun and profitable. Just need to emphasize that this new machine not only chews metal off but it does it to a very fine tolerance too.

This technology moves ahead at such a rate that when you buy state of the art, by the time you put it to work and get comfortable with it, it's already obsolete. We just got the latest Mazak Integrex 5 axis and the service tech's told me it's already been updated with the next gen. Crazy. Makino is one of my faves too. But the Mazaks are just so easy to use. We also have many Haas lathes and machine centers. This is off the hook like you said!

Dang that's going to be an amazing machine for you! I'm glad your going all out on the coolant system. It's so important, I always ended up on the stinkiest machines since I don't mind the smell as much as others, but It taught me the importance of coolant and machine maintenance! They were only stinky because they were so worn chip buildup under way covers and way oil leaks my employer did not see worth addressing made them impossible to keep coolant in good shape for long =/
I really have to thank you for really investing so much into education! That machine is such a class above anything i've worked on. Even after 10 years as a machinist I would be a noob using all of that mills advantages.

Good work. Nice video. The HSK-100 is a great choice. Much stiffer than CAT 50plus or BT50Plus. No chance of old tool holders going into your new accurate spindle. Much better coolant flow through the HSK-100. Some other things to think about. 10gpm is much too small of a flow for HSK-100 (It is actually too small for HSK-63). At 1000psi 10gpm is only enough to feed a single orifice that is 0.110" in diameter, not nearly enough for your larger tools. You should consider upgrading the ChipBlaster to their GV3-120 unit. Also make sure that you upsize the lines from the ChipBlaster to the spindle. Those should be 1" in diameter so that you do not suffer pressure drop on the way to the tool at high flow rates. Since you are using an awesome synthetic coolant you can also upgrade to 1 micron filters in your ChipBlaster. Remember that every time you do a tool change coolant and air are both being blown through the spindle. Filter both your air and your coolant at one micron to minimize the possibility of clamping trash (chips, insert particles, etc.) that might be circulating in the coolant. A Concep 2000 chip conveyor would also be a big help in keeping your coolant sump clean. It will not only get the large chips like a conventional conveyor but also most of the fines. Check it out. Also use R.O. water (Reverse Osmosis System) for your coolant instead of tap water if you are not already doing so. Your sump life with all of the above will be measured in years instead of months. Your rotary union will also last a LOT longer with the one micron filtration.

These machines are nice. But I used to run an Okuma Bridge mill into the auto tool and die industry and when your running a 400mm diameter Dijet face mill at a 4-6mm depth of cut on a 4m x 5m table then your making chips! Thats when you have forklifts taking away chips. We used to call it the Big Machine Shop.
