I have been depessed ever since Vietnam. On and off therapy, with different providers I still do not feel much if any different. I even had a phd. Fall asleep on me. I have about had it. Therapy apparently does't work for all

@stevemoyer8684 If I may, I can tell even from the small amount you shared here that one of your strengths is perseverance. You have kept trying with different providers, even after unsatisfactory experiences. Apparently our bodies can 'hold on' to traumatic events, and sometimes because of this, people don't always find normal talk therapy fully helpful. I have learned that EMDR can be helpful, it might be worth a try. Another option is yoga therapy.
One of the most helpful things for my mood has been to get out in nature for regular walks. I don't really know what it is about it, I just find it calming and uplifting. I don't believe any one thing can totally help on it's own, but more like to have a toolkit of things that can help with different things at different times.
I wish you the best (keep using your strength in perseverance).
