may i ask for a quick explanation or a file you use to make the target look like that at 1:31 ? great video by the way, I've been doing aiming for years and love to watch what people have to say
to set the target glowing (i think thats what you mean) you go to body/head colour settings and set it to glow (you need scene colour medium or higher i think)
amazing video, was wondering if you could make a video explaining the science behind aiming, stuff about the calculations of trying to transfer sens from one game to another. going in depth on that about fov and what not, also stuff about the muscles in your arm that are used for aiming and how you can effectively train a specific part of your arm. and the phycological aspect of when your presented with a certain shot in a game or how to make your aim training more affective. or showing what having technique is in terms of aiming, theres probably many many more things you could talk about the science of aiming, really like the long videos and how much they cover and how well it covers it too. i really want to know more about aiming, i want to be able to teach others about it, i dont do it enough to where id make videos but not just for telling others but for myself. im really into things aiming related and i cant find more about it, you seem to know a lot about the science behind aiming so i really want to know every last detail.
i am going to make some vids on how motor skills are learned and how to optimize that, i will say that there is no direct science behind aiming. but there is applied science we can go into
This video made me think more about my tracking when practicing! Although no personal records where broken, the last practice session felt more controlled and less gittery.
so they increased sens for clicking and flicking helped so much I used it on spidershot 5x and sixshot 4x did it over again with my normal sens and went into gridshot and got 100% accuracy with a new high score
I just started doing a few scenario types for an hour last night. Woke up today and did a few rounds of gridshot just for fun. Added +5k to my average score A LOT FASTER than playing gridshot itself. I'm going as far as using my alt accounts to like this video and sub to your channel. This has helped me so much 😂
Great video as always Ridd! I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on centering in regards to smoothness - i.e. not moving your crosshair to the target, but rather moving the target to the center of your screen and keeping it there. Technically I guess its the same thing, but at least to me centering feels like it's "easier to digest" if you know what I mean. I've been training without a crosshair recently, and I feel like it helped a lot, since it doesn't allow me to fall back into moving the crosshair instead of the target if that makes sense.
thank you for the video i honestly had a really good natural aim but overtime i started doing a lot of unnecessary movement with my mouse because i saw pro players do that, and also some had really fast and shaky aim so i thought it was better that way so i started doing bad habits when aiming. now im trying to get back to my smooth aim without bad habits and stuff. and can you do a video about how to find a sensitivity that suits you?
hey man, ik you dont know my but i have 1.2k hours on kovaaks and 6k hours on comp fortnite. finding a perfect sensitivity is as easy as doing a perfect 180 if you can do a perfect 180 with ur sens then it is the most optimal. if you cant its time to tweak :)
great video. very informative. Here the advantages of Kovaaks are shown directly. More scenarios, more playlists that work and overall the complete Aimtrainier. Aim Laps is also very good but the small differences are what I like better about Kovaaks. Even if the video was not about a comparison ^^ Thanks for the work you put in here I really need to work on smoothing and tracking and these tips will help a lot
I’ve been doing smooth tracking for a week now. It’s the hardest thing to do. I keep falling behind or passing the bot and it’s just going from side to side slowly 😅😢
Probably a stupid question but do you smooth track with your arm? I'd imagine that it'd be difficult to track the wide movement of training bots with just your wrist unless you're on high sens. Also what eDPI do you recommend? Been playing valorant for 5-7 months at 280 eDPI (based on val). Tracking is mostly terrible and shaky. Also thanks for the great video, quite a breath of fresh air from the other "guides" I've gotten
most people can operate effectively anywhere from 15-80 cm with tracking, some can operate even outside of those bounds but it starts to become more difficult. i personally smooth track with (mostly) my arm but some people are amazing with dominant wrist. it is very context-specific and i encourage people to experiment and train both
Yo, I guess I'm kind of late but did you find out if the sens is playable generally? I use around 220 edpi and I'm playing valorant also. Tracking is so difficult for me, im tensing too much and I wanna know if I have to switch sens to like 40cm/360
Cant stress enough how much to thank you xD My scores in aimlab are so much higher now and my rank went from Eme 4 to Dia 2. Thanks for the high quality vids!!! edit:however do you have tips for when a game has too much visual clutter ? like enemy muzzle flash in apex making it extremely hard to track :(
glad it's helping! there's no real secret to practicing with visual clutter...it's an unfortunate side effect of modern fps games. Some people have built scens in Kovaaks that purposefully include visual clutter but I can't speak to their effectiveness. It's really something you just have to get better at in game, eye tracking exercises can help.
You said at the end to play with higher sens. So what cm/360 is optimal for it according to you? Plus don't you think you should be doing reactive tracking tutorial next?
I'm saving reactive for last because it's the hardest (IMO). I go as high as 20cm when I'm training, some go higher. 20-40cm is a pretty good starting point
people wanna be an aim god but not put in the work. the rA benchmarks showed me that my aim is shaky and my tracking isn't smooth but I keep putting in the work
I come from MOBAs, I started playing Apex with a friend this summer. Started aim training around September iirc. I was absolutely terrible at Apex and at Kovaaks, tracking was my worst aspect by far. I tried Voltaic routines and I tried grinding the smooth tracking benchmarks to no avail. For me what worked was Valkyrie tracking routine. And I believe that for a newcomer is all that's needed, something simple. Tracking will always have a smoothness and a reactive component no matter if one is more exaggerated they are always present. I play on 40cm/360 now, not long ago I played on 30/360 and it didn't really help, tracking was just easier on a higher sens and it didn't help me when switched to my lower sens but this might be due to me playing with fingers and wrist only for years so arm aiming was alien to me. I also think that bothering with different sensibilities is more of a cherry on top for already great aimers that want to be well rounded, newcomers don't need that, we need the fundamentals. Some key insights that helped my tracking where: -Relax hand at all costs -Glue your eyes to the bot -When the bot changes directions there is a little pause where you have to stop, games usually have this too -Confidently follow the bots movement as if it's not going to change direction (as said in the video) even tho it's gonna do it -Readjust without overreacting, play with it -Follow the bot with the intention/feeling of stopping (hard to explain) -Move less, the bot sometimes is not moving that fast you are just making it much more difficult by overreacting -Do not spam the scenario run after run back to back, take small breaks between runs. You will tire your hand and it will be harder or impossible to practice properly -Lastly, and this applies to all scenarios, a lower score but a greater feeling of control run is ALWAYS superior to a higher score with worse feel. A tense jittery 5k score is detrimental to improvement, a smooth and well performed 4k score is beneficial to improvement. You are playing to achieve mouse control, mouse control above everything else. Uncontrolled=bad. Also as said in other of your videos watching top score plays on RUclips, it helps a lot to watch what it should look like. Mind you I'm still pretty bad at aiming I'm just giving my perspective as a relatively new FPS player, also interestingly focusing on tracking and on smoothness and mouse control made me go from barely bronze on dynamic clicking to almost plat in all 3 Voltaic benchmark scenarios for dynamic clicking. Maybe this guide is just for more advanced aimers, but I just felt like sharing as someone that was hardstuck bronze in Voltaic benchmarks for a while and frustrated because there was no improvement made and I'm sure there are more people like me.
Bro you barely touched on revolving scenarions. Great content but please, touch on revolving and can you mention just in parenthesis the diffrent types that might be in each playlist please? Like say if Lapu had one catagorize what's in the routine (revolving, gliders, XY) etc etc @RiddBTW

This video made me think more about my tracking when practicing!
Although no personal records where broken, the last practice session felt more controlled and less gittery.
Wow bro you really upped your video editing 🔥
thanks yeah! i put a lot of work into it this time around
THIS. IS. SO. FIRE.
thanks much
Banger vid. Super concise. Hope this pops off for you.
thank you!
This is some insane, well-produced content. Easily subbed.
thanks so much ☺
yes
so they increased sens for clicking and flicking helped so much I used it on spidershot 5x and sixshot 4x did it over again with my normal sens and went into gridshot and got 100% accuracy with a new high score
Thankyou for making this video i appreciate you
5:27 Where can I buy his armsleeves?
Really appreciate your content. You’re very good at conveying your thoughts succinctly.
Such a good intro
thank you!
I just started doing a few scenario types for an hour last night. Woke up today and did a few rounds of gridshot just for fun. Added +5k to my average score A LOT FASTER than playing gridshot itself.
I'm going as far as using my alt accounts to like this video and sub to your channel. This has helped me so much 😂
that's awesome! yeah Aim Lab has a lot of great tasks they're just mostly the custom ones and they can be hard to find.
ok ive had enough of you being gone you can come back now
Great video as always Ridd!
I've been training without a crosshair recently, and I feel like it helped a lot, since it doesn't allow me to fall back into moving the crosshair instead of the target if that makes sense.
i'll cover this in my commentary, going to stay away from answering questions in text this time around :)
@@RiddBTW Got it, looking forward to it :)
bro how do you only have 8k subs?? i was genuinely surprised since your content is so quality
woahh what are your kovaak settings
i really like the colors you used
great detailed guide, nice work
Does anybody know which armsleeve aquatic is using in this clip at 05:20
thank you for the video i honestly had a really good natural aim but overtime i started doing a lot of unnecessary movement with my mouse because i saw pro players do that, and also some had really fast and shaky aim so i thought it was better that way so i started doing bad habits when aiming. now im trying to get back to my smooth aim without bad habits and stuff. and can you do a video about how to find a sensitivity that suits you?
hey man, ik you dont know my but i have 1.2k hours on kovaaks and 6k hours on comp fortnite. finding a perfect sensitivity is as easy as doing a perfect 180 if you can do a perfect 180 with ur sens then it is the most optimal. if you cant its time to tweak :)
incredible video. keep them coming ridd :)
great video. very informative.
Here the advantages of Kovaaks are shown directly. More scenarios, more playlists that work and overall the complete Aimtrainier.
Aim Laps is also very good but the small differences are what I like better about Kovaaks. Even if the video was not about a comparison ^^
Thanks for the work you put in here
I really need to work on smoothing and tracking and these tips will help a lot
appreciate it, and yeah Kovaaks definitely has the greater variety without question
can you make an aimlab playlist to use as daily routine ? pls
this is the best video
Let's fucking GOOOO. This is probably the thing I'm best at but still gonna watch this video multiple times for your silky smooth sexy ASMR voice
hahaha thank you!! hope you like it
My issue has always been shaky aim. I snap my mouse continually to target in guise of smooth aim, but I miss a lot of shots because of it.
Not sure if youll take this as a compliment but i played this on my earbuds while pressure washing my driveway. I chose you of all youtube vids. LOL
lol yeah that is a compliment! thanks! a lot of people seem to just like listening to the videos as a podcast in a way which I love!
dude ty so much!!!
No bs video thats surprising
Thanks for taking the time to make this man.
this one took longer than usual, glad it's helpful
fucking hollow is just cracked and also pretty fucking consistent at that
yeah he works extremely hard to be at the level he's at
Both you and him actually played major roles in my understanding of a proper aiming technique, nontheless I still have ways to go in terms of practice
Tracking is so difficult for me, im tensing too much and I wanna know if I have to switch sens to like 40cm/360
banger video as always, thanks a ton man
glad it helps :)
@@RiddBTW oh okay! thank you so much for the insight!
I guess everyone else must know something I don't because exactly zero of these scenarios are available to me in KovaaK's.
all i can say is: thank you
also remember, you don't improve rep to rep, you improve sleep to sleep.
facts
thanks coach ❤
You said at the end to play with higher sens. So what cm/360 is optimal for it according to you? Plus don't you think you should be doing reactive tracking tutorial next?
I'm saving reactive for last because it's the hardest (IMO). I go as high as 20cm when I'm training, some go higher. 20-40cm is a pretty good starting point
@@RiddBTW Thanks for clarifying, Ridd🙌
@@RiddBTW do you mean that we should not use our normal sens when training? Say i’m used to low sens
people wanna be an aim god but not put in the work. the rA benchmarks showed me that my aim is shaky and my tracking isn't smooth but I keep putting in the work
Thanks for these vids man
absolutely!
subbed.
Some key insights that helped my tracking where:
-Relax hand at all costs
-Glue your eyes to the bot
-When the bot changes directions there is a little pause where you have to stop, games usually have this too
-Confidently follow the bots movement as if it's not going to change direction (as said in the video) even tho it's gonna do it
-Readjust without overreacting, play with it
-Follow the bot with the intention/feeling of stopping (hard to explain)
-Move less, the bot sometimes is not moving that fast you are just making it much more difficult by overreacting
-Do not spam the scenario run after run back to back, take small breaks between runs. You will tire your hand and it will be harder or impossible to practice properly
-Lastly, and this applies to all scenarios, a lower score but a greater feeling of control run is ALWAYS superior to a higher score with worse feel.
Maybe this guide is just for more advanced aimers, but I just felt like sharing as someone that was hardstuck bronze in Voltaic benchmarks for a while and frustrated because there was no improvement made and I'm sure there are more people like me.
thanks for sharing and i agree with pretty much everything you said!
@@RiddBTW
Bro you barely touched on revolving scenarions. Great content but please, touch on revolving and can you mention just in parenthesis the diffrent types that might be in each playlist please? Like say if Lapu had one catagorize what's in the routine (revolving, gliders, XY) etc etc @RiddBTW
@RiddBTW
yayyy another ridd's video🥳
man i always overpredict my targets in aimlab pls anymore tips?
Fix shaky aim actually is not just playing the same scenario alot you need to physically make your body less shaky and more calm like lifting weights
Shame that my aim is so bad in overwatch especially with widow I see all these fast and accurate players I get so mad that I end up tilting and being toxic (bad trait Ik im working on not letting good players bring down my confidence) I hope this helps out
hey would you mind sharing the theme code for aimlabs? Been trying to get a good theme and couldn't so did the next best thing which was to ask you.
Please offer aim training coaching, I would rather pay for knowledge like this. It actually feels disrespectful taking this in for free.
Nice video ngl
Thanks!
is there anything for reading and reactive since thats the main area where i struggle. Its like I just loose my target all the time?
RiddBtw come back I miss your videos just talk about anything.
