Interesting comparison…. still glad I chose the S2 over the Pixel,I’ll see if you change my mind over the next vids, though I think you won’t…. Too fiddly, too inconsistent, lousy battery life.

I would recommend the following instead of the Google Pixel Watch:
      1. Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Classic
      2. Garmin Venu 2 Plus

Yep, that is correct for Apple won't allow Fitbit to use their proprietary iMessage protocols yet.

I am happy to be an unpaid "BETA Tester" for the Google Pixel Watch. I am giving Google another week to release an update and then it will be returned for it has been far too frustrating to wear.

    • @PeterHerget

More strange things for the Pixel today… either the Google Watch app or the Pixel Watch itself kept turning on the AOD feature even though I disabled it last night when the battery was nearly dead. Was this the fault of the Dev or the Google QA Team?

    • @tedjenkins1736
      @tedjenkins1736 Год назад +2

While there are some things that I really like about the pixel watch, it was put back in the mail today to be returned. I am encouraged however for the next iteration! For now however I am sticking with my Venu 2 Plus.

I am wearing the Amazfit Falcon today on my left, and the Garmin Venu 2 Plus on my right. I have yet to decide if further testing is needed on the Google Pixel Watch. I did take it off and have not missed it over the last six hours.

The charger will ring twice when charging once showing it's charging and once when the screen goes dark.

Yah, I turned off all automatic screen on options. So I have to press crown to view. I put it on the charger, I get a chime, then 10 seconds later when the screen go's off I get a second chime.

After 11 years of Fitbits with my last being my Sense, I waited years for that Pixel. I was excited. When I went to see it and did the research it was a bust in every way. I was done. I bought a Galaxy Watch 5 Pro and no looking back. I love love my 5 Pro. I don't miss fitbit at all. Loved the iterations over the years but I was ready for a grown up smart watch and that pixel was not it. I love Samsung health. I have a Samsung flagship phone so that makes it seem less along with my TV and budss.

    • @PeterHerget

What a lovely comment, thank you, ExposeRoot. I loaned my Fitbit Sense 2.0 to my neighbor to help me test it. All in all, yeah, the Google Pixel Watch version 1.0 was a HUGE, ginormous letdown. Google chose the wrong processor, the wrong battery capacity, and failed to integrate Fitbit. I am SO glad I returned mine and don't feel guilty about returning it. I buy watches to keep and if they are horrible, yeah, I return them. If they are worth my time, yeah, I'll keep them like I did with the Fitbit Sense 2.0, the Amazfit Falcon, and the list goes on.
As for the Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Pro, yeah, I just got mine back the other week after loaning it to a friend to wear & test, Stefano. He's been on the channel with me many times. The Watch5 Pro is a terrific timepiece, smart, fantastic battery life, and I love the sapphire screen. I miss the bezel 200% and hope they bring it back for the Watch6 later in 2023. Have you tried the snore detection feature of the Galaxy Watch5? I don't snore and Samsung gave me proof😁

I would be interested in the heart health features, ECG, Rate, Oxygen, Sleep info. I currently have the Galaxy 4, everything works except the ECG as my phone is a Pixel 7 Pro. Samsung health is free, I see google will charge for the features, does Garmin charge? Great info in the video and keep up the good work..

Thank you. Fitbit device owners are pretty evenly balanced when it comes to connecting their healthy wearable to either an Apple iPhone or some Google Android OS smartphone. That being said, yeah, I won't mind reshooting the video. I have my Fitbit Sense 2.0 paired with a OnePlus 9 Pro smartphone running Android 13 and yes, Fitbit gadgets often pair more nicely with an Android over Apple. Alas, I disliked the Google Pixel Watch too much and didn't keep it in my gadget-filled life...

Their are two types of Google customers, those that have gotten burned and those that will be.

I understand your point of view ALL to well. Shortly after purchasing my Fitbit Sense 2.0 they dropped the price by $100.00 USD, what the heck! I was just outside of my return window and Fitbit would not give me any discounts - bummer... Back in 2018 I was able to attend C.E.S. in Las Vegas and searched for the Fitbit company folks. I found them and I was so jazzed about meeting the Fitbit Organization for the first time and then it happened - rejected! The employees were not only rude, but also didn't even want to talk to a geek with over 30,000,000 Fitbit steps logged. I stopped wearing Fitbit gadgets for over a month after that happened in protest. As for the Fitbit Sense 2, it is a good wearable with above average quality/accuracy; however, for a company that specializes in health wearables, yes, they should have released something better than the 2020 technology.

I am liking the Ultrahuman Ring Air very much for it more comfortable to wear than the ŌURA Rings.
      1. ŌURA Ring 2.0 and I've worn it for nearly two years straight (left ring finger)
      2. ŌURA Ring 3.0 silver - worn on my right thumb and has been worn by me for 1.5 years
      3. ŌURA Ring 3.0 slate - right middle finger or left index (nearly two-years old)
      4. Circular Ring (replaced by the Ultrahuman Ring for my Circular Ring stopped working and had Bluetooth connection issues)
      5. Ultrahuman Ring - I wear it on my left index and will soon reach the two-week mark.
