@hussain-x Thanks mate, thought it was worth a thanx from a guy on stream, guess not, you're a star for that. I unsubbed, will send my money elsewhere.
Great stream boys! Glad I could catch your live stream for once Wes! I was able to get early access to Arken Age (and Pirates VR Jolly Roger) and usually I’m not excited to share the experience with others, but I immediately shared my thoughts as soon as the NDA was over. There are extremely few VR titles as polished as Arken Age, especially on a launch. With only a 4 developer team, PCVR and PSVR2 users need to buy this game. The dev team is also very active in their Discord community, looking for feedback and wanting to improve.
Arken Age is awesome. The devs truly understand what makes a fun gameplay loop, theyve shown it with Mervils and Shadow Legend. It reminds me of how games used to be; meaty levels with a variety of objectives to complete and items to collect (Banjo Kazooie, Spyro, Mario 64). No fall damage, you can swim, etc. Devs are smart.
Sorry I missed the live! I had to watch my Buffalo Bills Game. Replaying now! Sorry to hear you guys were sick. I missed the Patreon meeting because of a death in the family. So nice having you back! Wes id wait until Gamer Nexus reviews the 5000 series. They test everything and give the straight scoop! Thank you!
I'm sorry to hear about your family. My condolences... Yeah, I watch Gamer's Nexus. The thing is, it would have to test extremely poorly to change my mind. Coming from a 3080 Ti, even a 10% increase from a 4090 is going to be a big deal for me. I don't expect to be able to get one right away anyway, but if I am, I'm going to jump on it.
@@VirtualStrangers I will almost certainly be around 30% faster than 4090, while being at least (optimistically) 25% more expensive than 4090. Which is why, as a 4090 owner, I personally think upgrading from 4090 to 5090 is moronic, unless you have too much disposable income to flush down the toilet.
1:39:05, i asked the devs if they could implement the dash going forward and they said they wanted to but it breaks the game. Makes it too easy to kill enemies.
I'm confused on the hype Arken Age is getting so much praise. Granted it has incredible VR interaction and fun climbing picks, but it leaves me wanting more and almost feels like a waste. I confess I only have 4 hours in it, but initiating waves of robots in an arena feels overdone to death in VR... does the game get deeper? The majority of my enjoyment has been using the kiosks. (The health and refinery crack me up) The story line itself feels AI generated or something. I have NO idea what's going on or care for this tree alien race. I just wish there was more interesting things to do like quests that doesn't only involve sword fighting (like hunting treasure, ways to explore this beautiful world they made). The fighting feels a little like nerf weapons too. I'm excited for jolly rodger, I hope it's not just more sword fighting. 😪
Great show
Hey Wes, Ruuts, sorry I missed the cast, watching now. x

Back in business chaps! I am almost done with Shattered. I have really enjoyed it. One level to go.
We'll be covering it for the next GOTM episode.
