I think I’ve only ever seen that interior pattern one other time I can’t remember where though haha it’s a nice interior definitely sahara for sure being an 85 model it’ll be a GX badge. Auto 2h models only came out in 1985. She’s pretty straight body wise man a good basis to start with.

Can’t wait to see how my old girl turns out!, trip with my 80 sahara and the old 60? And if memory serves me right I think it may have 75mm body lift? And also don’t take out the interior light, I think it’s originally out of a customline or fairlane or something.

    Hi Jay
Great project thanks for the uploads
Are you sure it’s a JDM import body?
It looks like a warm climate spec vehicle from what I can see.
I daily drive a 61 jdm import cold climate Sahara and it’s got heaps of ldifferences.
Duel battery 24volt, rear heaters instead of aircon. No front quarter windows. Glass sunroof and so on.
Also has heaps of under bonnet insulation right down to a padded sump warmer.
If you put up an email I can send you some pictures.
Thankyou for the brake upgrade video on yours. Im starting to collect the parts.
    Regards Alex

Ok good to know. I was told the trim only came out in Japan but the information may be wrong

@@favouritejay doesn’t mean it wasn’t destined for a South American or middle eastern market.
Does it have an Australian Toyota tag?
      Mine doesn’t
Is the printing on the front of the glove box and shifter in English?
      Mines in Japanese
There’s an online Vin decoder you can use to determine the country of manufacture and intended origin
