I just finished a hat for my tiny human working in the third stitch in continuous rounds and started a scarf doing the same thing you did in this tutorial and wasnt sure it was going to turn out right and now seeing that I was doing the same thing as the tutorial I'm super excited to see that the scarf is going to match the hat. Even though I dont really need the tutorial I'm so thankful to you for putting this out there so i now know that the image in my mind is going to work out! Thank you
Great tutorial, very clear and easy to follow. I really like the way the fabric looks when done like this. For people who want a scoody: crochet the shawl and add a rectangle the size of twice the depth of the hood in the middle of the shawl. You have to crochet as many rows as you need to get to the top of your head. Before your last row you fold the scarf and rectangle together and you crochet the top of the rectangle together. That is the most simple way. When you want to use this stitch for a sweater you crochet it sideways, to have the stitch line up vertical.
Ooo😃 I love your tutorials. Like I said before, you are always thorough and on point. Very engaging and uncomplicated. Since it’s one specific repeat stitch, I’ll make some scarfs for Christmas gifts. Thanks again for sharing your skills and as usual will continue 👀👀👀 ❤️🌹🌹🔥🔥🔥💯😄
Thank you very much for the pattern! I made bootcuffs with this pattern. I closed the chainlength with a slipstitch and treated the bootcuffs as if they ware rectangular: so each round closed with a slipstitch, chain one and turn.
Hi Hira, I'm so glad to hear you are going to make this scarf for your son! Which blanket are you making? It makes me happy knowing that my patterns are useful to other crocheters!
very beautiful and so easy.ty. I' ve been looking for a scootie with little or no holes. lol hard to find... I'm still a newbie so i like to watch the different stitches out there. i really would like to make my first scootie and hope to find a pattern soon.
Oh my!!!! I've never seen or heard of this insertion technique for single crochet!!! It makes an absolutely stunning fabric! Thank you Olga❣️ Have a wonderful weekend, take care precious!!!
Third row if it possible can you close up on the way you pick up the stich and forth row as well I got stuck there and have to ripped all off . and do more than 1 crochet to show
Liked this pattern but I could barely hear you. It's either your audio or you speak very sofly . I'm definitely going to see how mine will turn out. Thanks for sharing.
It's hard to say the exact amount of stitches because that will depend on the yarn and hook you use, as well as your crochet tension. In general, scarves are about 60 inches long, so you can start with the chain of that length.
Hi, I love your tutorial! I don't understand when I should change back to the 6 mm hook, or when to alternate hooks, or if I am even supposed to alternate? Thanks in advance for your help!
How do you end the stitches when you want to complete the scarf? I mean do you just make a slip stitch and cut the yarn when it's done? I love your video so much by the way! I want to make a scarf for my grandma!
Hi, I hope you'll see my comment. I have a question, I just started crocheting this scarf and I was wondering, will the scarf turn out bad if I use 6mm for the first row (just like you did in your video) and continue with 5mm instead of 5,5? Thank you for posting this pattern btw!! I'm planning to give this scarf as a bday present for my cousin 😁
Hi! No, I don't think it will turn out bad, it should be fine. But, of course, to be sure you can just make a small swatch to see how it looks and whether you like it! How wonderful that you want to make this scarf a birthday gift for your cousin!
I'm afraid there isn't any way to extend it to make it look the same. What you can do is crocheting along the ends of rows, and that will give sort of like "cuffs" on both sides, but it will give a different look to the scarf overall.
Hii, i tried your pattern but the scarf ended to be so stiff and rigid, it looks nice but i can't twist it easily, did u encounter this with your work, could it be the yarn? i am dissapointed and sad because i don't like how it turned out after the hard work😔
Hi! No, I didn't encounter this problem. The only thing I can think about is the tension. You can try a larger size hook and crocheting more loosely. I'm really sorry you're disappointed and sad 😢
I tried this pattern but don't why the starting point of the muffler becomes rounded. Will it be okay after I finished or is it something that I should fix
I wish I could see your crochet piece. It's very difficult to say why that is happening without seeing it. Honestly, I don't have any ideas why that might be.
Finally I found the scarf crochet that has both sides the same pattern!!! Thank you very much 🙏🏻❤️

Oh my!!!! I've never seen or heard of this insertion technique for single crochet!!! It makes an absolutely stunning fabric! Thank you Olga❣️ Have a wonderful weekend, take care precious!!!
In the row after the single crochet do you take the middle one and the two in the top? Or just the middle and one from the top?
Hii Olga! Thank you for sharing this pattern. Could you please tell if I can use two different colours of yarn to crochet this?
Thankyou looks just like a knitting stitch interesting l have never tried this stitch l will give it a go God bless
Nice and very easy 👍😊👏👏
I like your tutorial 😘😘😘👌👌
did you do the last row of scarf with 5.5mm or 6mm needle ?
Third row if it possible can you close up on the way you pick up the stich and forth row as well I got stuck there and have to ripped all off . and do more than 1 crochet to show
how many balls of yarn did u use for this?
Great video! Thank you so much!
You are very welcome!
Liked this pattern but I could barely hear you. It's either your audio or you speak very sofly . I'm definitely going to see how mine will turn out. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for mentioning the sound issue. I'll keep it in mind for the future videos.
Turn on the caption dude
It’s clear
Turn it up
My hearing stinks and many videos aren't captioned.@train9688
Looking beautiful
Thank you!
Wow this amazing 😢❤
Amazing... so love it... 😍😍
Very well done tutorial
By the way I have a question about the finishing line please. Do you have the tutorial how to do it? Thanks.
It is so beautiful
Thank you!
But how many stitches do you do for scarf in general I'm new to croteching
It's hard to say the exact amount of stitches because that will depend on the yarn and hook you use, as well as your crochet tension. In general, scarves are about 60 inches long, so you can start with the chain of that length.
As there are many different types of wools please may I know which type of did u use
This was category 4, 100% wool!
Hi, I love your tutorial! I don't understand when I should change back to the 6 mm hook, or when to alternate hooks, or if I am even supposed to alternate? Thanks in advance for your help!
You switch to the smaller size hook after 1st row, the rest of the scarf is crocheted with the smaller size hook. It is shown at 3:01.
Thanks!!!
@@OlgaPoltava Thanks soooo much!!!
Beautiful ❤️
Thanks be blessed
Thanks ❤
Beautiful 😍
Thanks Madam but I am doing in Crochet hook 3&2.5 as my husband wants it to be tight and not lose
Hi! Could i use a 5.0 hook?
Thank you so much dear very beautiful ❤
Thank you❤❤❤
Thank very much 👍👍👍
You are welcome!
can i use just one 5.5mm crochet hook?
You can work with any hook of your choice.
After second row, will am changed the needle?
Hello! How many balls of yarn did you used for this size scarf?
3 balls, 150 grams, 290 yards
I like this scarf. Did you mention how many rows?
I made 24 rows for my scarf, which was 5 inches wide. It's really up to you how wide you want to make yours.
How much wool should I take for this scarf?
Love this look 👀 I just found your channel... looks like a keeper ty😃
Hi Sandy, welcome to my channel! I'm so glad you like it! 🤗💕♥️
How do you end the stitches when you want to complete the scarf? I mean do you just make a slip stitch and cut the yarn when it's done? I love your video so much by the way! I want to make a scarf for my grandma!
I made a video about it: ruclips.net/video/_7yf_ZB49uQ/видео.html
Lovely
Dear Madam, Can you help to tell me if I want to wrap it 2 rounds the neck how long does it take? How many chains that we need to do?
Is 185 chains enough to do a scarf ?
Is there a specific size for the yarn?
Beautiful color and great technique! What is your yarn size? Is it Medium 4?
Thank you! Yes, it's category 4 yarn.
For making this I have to take 200 something chains??
For my scarf I started with 171 chains (for the sample I started with 21 chains). You can start with as many chains as you wish.
@@OlgaPoltava ok, thanks.
Thank you
You are very welcome!
what's the thickness of yarn? can anyone please help me?
Hi, I hope you'll see my comment. I have a question, I just started crocheting this scarf and I was wondering, will the scarf turn out bad if I use 6mm for the first row (just like you did in your video) and continue with 5mm instead of 5,5?

How wonderful that you want to make this scarf a birthday gift for your cousin!
I had same question ... Thanks
You might have answered this, but what is the yarn weight? It looks like a 4 or 5, but I couldn't tell.
Category 4 , 100% wool.
I was tried it when I make a jacket ,,bt unfortunately I made a scarf,,,😉 because that time I really knw ant neck finish8ng
Why are my lines horizontal instead of vertical like you did?
I'm not sure why! I can't really say without seeing your work.
Mine also
How many thread does it require ??
Depends on what size you want to make. I used 290 yards and the finished measurements were about 48 inches long and 5 inches wide.
@@OlgaPoltava thank you so
Much
How to extend it if I had made it shorter🥲
I'm afraid there isn't any way to extend it to make it look the same. What you can do is crocheting along the ends of rows, and that will give sort of like "cuffs" on both sides, but it will give a different look to the scarf overall.
@@OlgaPoltava okayy thank you for this ❤
what kind of crochet you use?
I have just completed my 4th row it's nice but turn to be in curve not straight what to do please reply?
It's hard to tell without seeing your crochet piece. But my guess would be you are loosing stitches at the end of each row.
*losing stitches, not loosing
at the end? how to end the crochet?
Simply fasten off and hide the yarn tail.
How many yarns have you consumed in doing this scarf project?
290 yards
What yarn weight did you use?
Category 4, worsted weight yarn.
Thanku very much Madam
You are very welcome!
Hai pls tell how many grams is 294yards
Not 294yards it is 290yards, pls tell in how many grams
@@padmajargowdargowda3914 150 grams
Can you tell us where we can get that yarn to purchase

I wish I could see your crochet piece. It's very difficult to say why that is happening without seeing it. Honestly, I don't have any ideas why that might be.
Thank you new design for sweater please
What type of stitch is this
I don't know if this stitch has a specific name, but it's basically a single crochet (inserting the hook in a nonstandard way).
Nice
How much yarn is required
See that info in the description box below the video!
Madam can u show some things like shrug, bolero etc free tutorial videos
I'll try! I'm working on a sweater and a cardigan now, but I'll keep in mind to make a shrug or bolero.
