      +Ruff His opinion stems from the fact that there has to be some kind of clear "winner" and "loser" and "the lesser of two evils." It wasn't that annoying because I don't know enough about politics to have an engaging conversation so hearing Colin and Danny sometimes went over my head, but I liked that they sound like they know more than I do. Hearing Tim is like hearing myself talk about politics.. which is only repeating what I've already heard or been told that I don't know much about.

    I respect Tim, but I think Hillary's criticism doesn't have anything to do with her being a woman. More so her just being a slimy person. However, Trump is way worse and she is lucky the GOP is in such disarray that they nominated Trump.

      I think people are a lot _harsher_ on Hillary because she is a woman. Imagine if there was a _female_ candidate who was overweight, completely unqualified, mouthy, racist, homophobic, bigoted and anti-science. I feel like she wouldn't have even gotten past the qualifying stage. This is even more highlighted by the fact the large majority of every single group of the electorate other than straight white males is currently polling against Trump (unless I'm misremembering) - they can see this clear bias.

      I know quite a few women at my workplace that are only voting Hillary simply because she is also a woman.
      When you start to base political suitability on whether or not the candidate has a vagina, you've lost any semblance of worth in society.
      I mean seriously? To vote for a candidate because you share certain physical attributes is such a shallow and vapid mindset to have.
      Policies, agendas, and track record mean so much more than whether you have a salami or shaved roast beef in your fucking pants.

      That's the problem I have about these topics. I don't know much about a lot of the things Colin knows, least of which is politics, but Colin obviously knows something about it and the others (excluding Danny) clearly don't. So what we get is a topic of Colin just loving hearing himself talk, Greg throwing in some dumb joke to stay relevant, and Tim saying... words....
      I'm sorry, but if I wanted to actually learn something about politics, I'd turn to a verified source and not these guys

    • @airbo0309
      @airbo0309 7 лет назад +12

      I 100% agree. The others besides maybe Danny look lost and misinformed about anything political. Tim is the worst because he literally shakes his head NO every time Colin mentioned Trump's name. Like ok you don't like Trump, but bring some information about why he is worse than Clinton besides memes, gifs and tweets.

    • @jonathanglover22
      @jonathanglover22 7 лет назад +13

      Um, no, not really. Only listen to Colin if you want infuriatingly one-sided opinions. To hear Colin say he would vote for Trump over Clinton (if he had to) is completely mind-numbingly ridiculous that I honestly don't even know how to respond. He refuses to let go of some asinine hatred for Clinton that flies in the face of facts and common sense. And he's able to say -- with a straight face -- that he'd vote for Trump. Trump: the man that lies to the people's faces, is a racist, a bigot, a sexist, that tweets at 3 a.m. about how an ex-beauty queen was fat. And he'd vote for him to be the leader of the United States. Anyone who agrees with this is just insane; there's no other word for it. Open your eyes. Seriously.This is fucking terrifying. It's not a joke, it's not funny. It's not. If you can say Hillary Clinton is worst than Trump than you have a dumb fucking opinion and you shouldn't be taken seriously.

      RUclips Content I wouldn't say he came off as a child, but I do feel that like most people he truly believes that Trump is an evil dude, but it's completely far off. It just bothers me that people will choose a criminal, who has gotten people directly and indirectly killed over someone who says mean things. It's like giving your child to a babysitter who is a convicted sex offender because the other babysitter has said mean things.

    • @shadowaus7623
      @shadowaus7623 7 лет назад +4

      That's a stretch of an argument to make. Just to make my stance clear, I'm not a US citizen and from the outside looking in, like most of the world I think you're stuck between a rock and a hard place as I dislike both candidates. Firstly before you go accusing someone of being a cause of death you should have some evidence to back it up, from the cursory research I've done there is zero evidence that Hillary has caused any deaths either directly or indirectly from her personal actions, anything that has said otherwise has either been conjecture or pure conspiracy. I think there are things that she needs to answer for but I don't put it on anywhere near the level of knowingly leaving your child with a convicted sex offender. On the topic of Trump, I think he's an egotistical, arrogant arsehole and somewhat out of touch with reality but I neither think he's evil or an idiot but saying that, I also don't think he has the capabilities of being a leader of a (some would say THE) world power, if not for anything else then that NO ONE outside of the US that has any sort of power likes or respects him and 99% of the world thinks he's a massive joke. Though saying that I ruled out choosing a preference based on personality a long time ago, purely looking at party policy I tend to stand on the side of Hillary, though I don't think she has any more capability of being a world leader than Trump does what with her questionable actions and half the time looking like she wants to keel over. Really this was just a rambling way of saying that for the next 4 or so years I would not like to be American.

But if I wanted to know or learn something about politics.. I wouldn't listen to a 25 year old man child. He just represents how skewed and pointless his vote will be because he was so fired up this topic about being against Trump and he didn't say why or give any actual hard facts or political reasons as to why he doesn't want Trump to win. He just dislikes him because of what he's publicly said. He says they're not equals, but doesn't say why. If you ask him, he probably wouldn't be able to even tell you why.

    Can anyone explain how wanting to stop illegal immigration makes you racist?

    • @DatGrunt
      @DatGrunt 7 лет назад +9

      It doesn't. It's just the way Trump put it at first that got him a lot of heat.
      I'm Hispanic and my family is Mexican. Came here legally and they all agree with Trump. It's not the Mexican people that are bad. It's the problems that Mexico has that come to the US and anyone who denies Mexico has problems is clearly an idiot. The cartels control that country for fucks sake and they make ISIS look like a bunch of pussies.

    • @MultiMagniGladii
      @MultiMagniGladii 7 лет назад

      What makes it racist is that Trump is portraying illegal immigrants as poor criminals who are sneaking over the border and stealing jobs. That's not where the bulk of illegal immigrants come from. Most fly in legally on visas which they simply overstay. As a group they commit fewer crimes than the native US population, and deporting them en masse would be extremely expensive and hurt the economy. The answer to the illegal immigrant problem isn't to build a wall, it's to create more paths to citizenship.

    • @aceattorneyplays2167
      @aceattorneyplays2167 7 лет назад +5

      MultiMagniGladii The notion that most illegals come in with a valid visa is completely false. Our southern border has been an open flood gate for decades.

    • @MultiMagniGladii
      @MultiMagniGladii 7 лет назад

      The "open border" notion is completely unfounded.

    • @MultiMagniGladii
      @MultiMagniGladii 7 лет назад

      Latent Soul The link has statistics on how many immigrants overstay visas as opposed to sneak across the border illegally (a large majority). Essentially this means that building a wall doesn't solve illegal immigration issues.
      By the way emigrate means to leave a country, immigrate means to enter a country :)

      None of them are stupid. Colin is clearly more informed and more wise about this sort of thing though. The worst you could legitimately argye for is the others being less inforned. Greg at least tries to be aware more so than the average Joe who knows nothing of what's going on, although I do think he's a bit naive and wrong in regard to Clinton at least. Tim at least admits he doesn't know much but he's trying. You also have to consider his background, lifestyle and upbringing which predisposes him to the perspective he has. To his credot he isn't an ideologue out it. He comes off as a liberal of conveniemce becaise ofbthose 3 factors i mentioned, not becaise he has really imvestigated to an extent as to make an informed akd clear decision of what he bekieves like Colin has for example. everyone starts somewhere. I can't quite get a read on Nick in political discussions but I think he, like Colin, tries to think before saying things so I respect that. Sometimes you're just going to disagree. Just because someone disagrees with me or you or anyone doesn't inherently make them unintelligent. That's just lazy and intellectually dishonest argumentation.

      This is absolutely true for high and low tier manufacturing, but a lot of mid tier manufacturing probably wouldn't have. Coke bottling for example probably would have stayed in the US. I think if you polish up your points, put them more succinctly, and don't get emotional when people talk about the points that you passionately disagree with, you'd bring really great arguments in the coming topics about this. Thank God for Colin, especially the last 10 minutes of this video. He said it better than I could. Don't assume things about supporters on either side. People WILL double down to defend themselves. Not every Clinton supporter is an SJW, not every Trump supporter is a racist, sexist. Not BY A FUCKING MILE. I've seen crazy Clinton supporters just as much as Trump supporters. That doesn't mean Tim or Gregg are those crazy people. That doesn't mean average Joe that lost his job is a racist. That doesn't mean someone that's fed up with corruption of the establishment is sexist. People are so fucking quick to assume and judge others when they are not on the same wavelength. From afar, I see WAY MORE Nazism on CLINTONS side, than Trump's. That's fucking saying something. So don't be so fucking full of shit please people, and respect others. Also, dont hate on people like Colin that are actually intelligent and have dignity and balls to say they aren't supporting either of these candidates and going third party, even risking splitting the vote. Because there is no reason to vote against someone. Vote FOR someone. If you're voting against someone, you get what you deserve. If Trump wins because the establishment finally fucked themselves, so be it. Let it play out, revolt. Change the system. Then at least you'll be motivated to and something might ACTUALLY change in America.

      I, he literally said that nearly everyone he knows and who are in his circles are voting Clinton. He is coming from a generally privileged, liberal San Francisco lifestyle, environment and upbringing (and I don't mean privileged the way the SJWs do and being privileged isn't inherently bad). He is in a bubble and his comments show that. I respect that he admitted that he doesn't know much about this sort of thing. Most would save face and act like they know everything. At least he's self aware and humble about it. I disagree with his perspective but I have to respect him for at least his self awareness, humility and desire to learn more. Everyone has to start somewhere. If he comes to a belief I disagree with, I hope someone challenges that in respectful debate but if he can defend his arguments then that should at least be respected.

Colin is pretty safe in Cali going blue this year too so his vote will have little ill effect on the eventual winner.

    He says he dislikes Hillary, so he must know his shit and understand all of the problems with her. And yet, he just stands by and allows the rest of them to spew nonsense attempting to dismiss all criticism of her as sexist or republican chicanery.
    Speak up, Colin. You view her as below your bar of acceptability? Well explain why. Otherwise you let them paint you into the sexist raving lunatic republican category when there are very real bipartisan problems with her candidacy. Bernie and his base recognized and repudiated many of her flaws and vices, so it's certainly not a republican fantasy.

    So far it looks like Hilary has gotten a decent bounce from winning the debate of about 2 or so points, but we'll probably know a bit more in the coming days if it's bigger than that. It has been enough to make that 55% Colin brought up from 538 now over 67%, making her a clear favorite, although certainly not a lock. It's also interesting that so far the closest thing we've got to an October surprise has been about Trump, not Clinton, with taxes. Still lots of the month to go though of course.

    • @Freezenification

      It's crazy to me that Colin thinks the two candidates tied. That chance of winning is still rising - just in the last 20 minutes or so has risen to 68.2%. Clinton clearly won the debate and it caused Trump to completely unravel and have an awful week, hence his chances of winning keep lowering.
      EDIT: It is now nearing 69% at 68.7%.

      You can really tell the people who are actual fans apart from just the people who clicked on this video because it was political and they want to shout their opinion

      People are salty here. Funny because it was actually a decent discussion. Colin really had to counter them and really bring it down to earth. Underestimated in this election is that if we got a Socially progressive/Fiscally conservative candidate from either party, that would probably beat both Trump and Clinton. People want money to flow freely and humane treatment of fellow humans. It's simple but both these candidates display awful morals and ideals to both of those things.

    Interesting what Colin says at 47:11 about people becoming more convinced they're right about something when they're proven to be wrong. It's called cognitive dissonance. It's discussed in a really good book I'm reading at the moment called Black Box Thinking by Matthew Syed, if anyone is interested.
