Spent two days there and did most of the things you showed but I would add the Opera House which has gorgeous views and of course the Phallalogical Museum as it is one of a kind and has a great gift shop!

I live here. My advice would be: don't skip anything if you come here, everything is equally beautiful in it's own way.
I lived in Reykjavik from 2016-2019. Just to warn everyone a few things to know before you go. The food sucks plain and simple. The weather sucks probably worse then the food. And it’s not expensive it’s offensively expensive. Good things are it’s safe, it’s clean and the people are nice for the most part.
I don't mean to sound harsh, but they make it look boring. I've been to London, Paris, Switzerland etc. Norway and Sweden is better in my opinion. Just by watching this video Iceland will be a last resort for me.
@@odell2970 I totally agree with you! I felt like making a comment like "so there's actually not much to do in Reykjavik". They made it seems blah and unimportant. I visited Reykjavik in July 2021. It really is plain. Nothing exciting there.
I was ther for 4 days in April 2020. Incredibly friendly people. Most of them speak better English than me. Lamb stew, fish stew. The Church on the Hill. On one of the lake in the city, they pump ht water to keep open space for water birds. The weather changes EVERY 10 MINUTES. why do they have hot dogs? The American Military was there from 1941 to 2005
Thank you so much for posting this video! I love it! I will be in Iceland in July. When were you there? Did you rent a car or do the hop on hop off bus in Reykjavík? How walkable is the city?
Really nice video, I've been wanting to go to Iceland, but because of the pandemic I've been postponing it, what season of the year was that? I really want to go to see the Northern lights or in summer to see the the midnight sun,,, what do you guys recommend?
I live in Iceland and seeing northern lights are so common for us that we just don’t care While tourist go omg look wow that’s the 3rd time I’ve ever seen this omg that looks so cool We just go oh northern lights cool Let’s go to America I can’t it stand here
But how fortunate is it to see something that people only dream of so often that it just becomes a natural part of your life? We often tend to see the grass as always greener on the other side. I’ve moved from Texas to Miami Beach thinking it’d be like living on a permanent holiday and after being out here for a year I miss Texas living 🤡. The natural landscapes in Iceland is so dramatic and stunning, I’ve never seen anything close to it elsewhere. Some times a change of scenery is all you need to value the under appreciated things you do have.
In Iceland Reykjavik is one area with the surrounding towns which only have a fine line of separation, called "capital region" or "greater Rvk." The population is 243,000 at the moment. But consider, Iceland's population is 380,000, so to locals, it is the "big city."
@@gfritlev9956 I know. I only find it interesting because I am from a small state called Iowa and I don’t like big cities. That’s why I think Reykjavik looks so cool! It’s not overwhelmingly big like Berlin or London.
Anyone who goes out to a club before midnight is going to think that Reykjavik has no clubs. The blog you read was just too early and impatient to see it.
The male spoke so well. Unfortunately I found the female's voice most unpleasant, very slow, croaky, wild variations of high and low pitch, unusual emphasis on parts of words so didn't recognize them. Was very tiring. Sorry if this offends you. It's just feedback to consider.
Looks like a lovely place to visit. Definitely on my list. You two vegetables need to limit your screen time. Ugh. I go to places and drink gin just to avoid my fellow Americans

We have about 19 hours any suggestions?? Top players-favorites? Viking, spiritual, Nordic?!
The rainbow road really adds a feeling of safety and equality for us lgbt folk!😊👍 Thank you for sharing! Good video.
They put Kiki on the map, a LBGT+ bar on the map, easy to find.
5:02 My girlfriend fell in love with that black crossing jacket. What brand is it?

The city is smaller then the capital of Des Moines! I hope I can visit some day.
Best of luck my friend! Have a great time when you finally get to visit ❤

Best cheescake in the world!
I am also a islandic citezen
That’s awesome!
@@worldnomac thank you
Sounds like basically a New England township. Maybe a bit different, but maybe not.
Awesome video & channel 👍🏼 we’re new subscribers 🤗 full watch and big like by us
It looks cold and gray everywhere
Reykjavik is 85% cloudy 15% sunny ca over the year. Most sun occurs in May or so.
Go to Akureyri in icland
Why?
What time of year is this please?
@@worldnomac thank you! September is the month we are looking to go x
are there any vegan options??

I agree! The nightlife was a blast!
I liv in Reykjavík
I am icland
I won't be doing zero things there because I am not going there. Way too expensive to freeze my butt off.
I'm supposed to be going to Iceland in 2 weeks but it looks really boring and I don't wanna go anymore
They have hot dogs!
Sooooo there’s nothing to do in Reykjavik…
This is what we call in Portuguese, a "pig spirit"
Rainbow road is dumb.
I can speak Icelandic if ya want
Do I need to rent a car?
Probably yes

It sure is lovely! Well more power to you, doing what you want when you travel is one of the best parts of travel :)
I'd try to actively avoid that stupid Pride road haha
Boring.
Bummer!
Terrible filming. All you do is film yourself Or yourself walking away. I won’t watch this again.
Did you even watch the video lmao
