The colored Jenga can be used for curriculum games as well. Create stacks is question cards for each color and when a child pulls a color they answer a card of that color. You can also use a regular Jenga set and take permanent markers to color the ends.
You're making such great progress on your room. It's so organized and inviting for your students. I hope you'll do a room review/tour when you are done. Looking forward to MORE vlogs!
Best of luck to you in your first year of teaching. It takes you three years to get used to the teaching profession. Try your best to focus on what went well during the day and not dwell so much on what did not work. That was the advice that my third grade teacher gave to me 27 years ago. He also told jokes in class. Here is one that I remember: What did the rooster say to the plate of scrambled eggs? Dig those crazy mixed up kids.
I like your room!!! It’s coming along so nice. 😁 Have you thought about turning the big book shelf around to face your reading center? Idk if there’s a reason it’s with the blocks....just an observation 🤷🏻♀️
You did a great job setting up your classroom, it looked like a lot of work though, I guess teacher's have to most of it on their own. Two of my cousins were elementary school teachers, they both had fun looking classroom decorations but educational also. If you're interested in teaching the kids about insects, butterflies, ladybugs, ant farms, there's a company I worked for called, Insectlore, located in Shaffer, CA. Look under Insectlore.com, you can order things on line or call this company. It's fascinating and fun and educational too! 😁🐛🦋🐞
