    Your haircut looks so good, everytime I see you now I'm just like 🥰 I'm excited for you that you're near the end of your pregnancy. I wish you the best with everything!
    I loved your explanation of the Retinol situation. People are often far too cautious or don't do consult medical professionals for cosmetic items and I'm glad you're showing people how to take of themselves properly!

    Eight hour used to be a mixture of Stockholm tar and linseed oil, fantastic for horses hooves. I used to love it because that's what it reminded me of, but they totally changed it. It used to say that Elizabeth Arden used it on her horses!

    • @KitschSnitch
      @KitschSnitch  4 года назад +1

      yeah I remember the history of it being that it was designed for horses but then people realised that it worked well as a skincare product :)

    You can find a one pound brick of cocoa butter on Amazon from $10-15 and cut it up for the shower. It would be way cheaper than from Lush and it is raw organic.

    When I was pregnant and I got to the point I was unable to tie my shoes I was ready for this to be over. Both times. Take in mind I am 1.55m(5ft2) and 48 kilos. Plus the last trimester I had horrible heartburn. You look beautiful as always, Kat.

    I’ve never been pregnant, but I had really bad stretch marks on my inner thighs. Last year, they started to fade pretty dramatically! I don’t know the exact cause, but I started taking better care of my skin by: 1. taking Halo Beauty Kiwi daily, and 2. applying body lotion after every shower. Could have been a combo of those things, or they could have just faded over time, but I’ve noticed a major difference.

    • @KitschSnitch

      Yeah I definitely want to start taking some good skincare supplements when this is over, sadly they aren't recommended during pregnancy so I have had to wait :)

    Kudos to you and your attitude toward stretch marks. I was really young when i had my kids and spent way too much time hating my body bc of them. Back then it was the worst thing ever for a woman to actually show any signs that she had had a child. U learn so much with a few years perspective. Im not the least bit surprised by your views tho.👏👏👏

    I love the Mancine hot salt scrub (not hot) it leaves a nice light oily layer on the skin and you can really scrub for ages without it desolving. My favourite scents are the rose and vitamin e, mango and rose hip, coconut and vanilla. Have been using them for a good 10yrs now because I haven’t found anything that’s as good

    Bah! I bought the Bio-Oil gel because welp you told me to... hehe no but I heard you talking about it because the liquid version just feels like it gets everywhere. I love the gel version but need to find a mini spatula for it. It was on sale on a French website and I bought 3 of them 🤣 I’m not running out of that for a while.

    💜💜💜tfs💜💜💜 I embrace and love my stretch marks, it shows this old gal carried four beautiful babies and she's proud of that! Oh and on me, stretch marks are the least of my scarring before anyone has a go! I was brought up in a very abusive situation and was told my body was ugly and should be covered up as it's hideous... not the message you want to give a growing child. And yes I still struggle with self image, but my husband is amazing and has given me my self-confidence that my own f^cked up family took away from me.

    Highly Recommend the brand Deep Steep my favorite is their bergamot grapefruit which smells kinda like fruitloops.
    Not sure where you/if you can find it. I buy mine on Amazon, iherb or vitacost and originally bought it in store at Whole foods.
    It sounds very similar to the one you talked about but is scrubbier?
    Yeah the Elizabeth Arden cream is essentially frageranced petroleum jelly.

    I have the La Roche Posse tinted sunscreen for the face. I have combo skin and sadly in about 4-5 hours my face gets so greasy. I couldn’t figure out why my makeup was getting so weird but after investigation it was the sunscreen. I am using it up for days where I am just running to the grocery store or whatever. I suppose it could be thought of as “panning” it!

    • @KitschSnitch
      @KitschSnitch  4 года назад

      I strangely find the tinted one more greasy than their original sunscreens! I think wearing a sunscreen and then a normal foundation over the top works way better!

    Stretch marks are genetic. If your mom had them with you, you are more than likely going to have them. I went from 105lbs up to 175lbs and my baby was over 10lbs so yea I got lots of stretch marks even though I was always moisturizing my skin

    That Elizabeth Arden 8 hour balm smells odd, it's sickening sweet and medicinal smelling. Smells a bit like my baby brother's drool after he had some sweets. 😂😂😂

      That’s what lanolin smells like. It’s the oil(?) from sheeps wool and if you’ve never handled freshly sheared wool you now have an idea what it smells like!

    • @KitschSnitch
      @KitschSnitch  4 года назад +1

      I use lanolin and it smells VERY different to eight hour cream

    • @GiLl2De
      @GiLl2De 4 года назад

      KitschSnitch hey in Australia! Hope you’re all ok...? I have such a clear memory of my sister buying 8 hour cream and being totally put off by the smell because it reminded me of being a kid rolling up fleeces with my Dad. The smell...🤢 my hands were coated with a completely waterproof ‘oil’ and it stank. At least to me!
      Most lanolin products - even “pure”ones are processed to remove the scent/stench! For ages i wouldnt buy lanisoh or dr lipp because i really did think they would have that smell. I don’t know - maybe it’s in my head - but i swear the smell is there. It’s not the smell of sheep... more a sickly sweet smell. Anyway - this staying at home business is obvs getting to me! Love to you and your family in these stressful times! 💜

    • @KitschSnitch
      @KitschSnitch  4 года назад +2

      I should have clarified, I tried using it every night for a few months, didn't like it so I swapped it out for something better. I only brought it back out to finish when I wanted a weaker retinol during pregnancy 😊

    • @annalieseavery7919
      @annalieseavery7919 4 года назад

      KitschSnitch interesting! I have used it with the good genes and it was good for acne but it may have just been the good genes.

    • @KitschSnitch
      @KitschSnitch  4 года назад

      Retinol can definitely help with acne, but it is mainly used as an anti-aging ingredient. I don't have acne so I wouldn't see any of the results for acne, so it definitely might work at clearing skin, but I didn't see any skin smoothing and reduction in fine lines... which is why I use retinols :)

    • @annalieseavery7919
      @annalieseavery7919 4 года назад

      KitschSnitch yeah I agree, I didn’t see too much for smoothing lines from it. I still have wrinkles between my brows. Apparently the Murad rapid collagen infusion is amazing for lines though.
