I think the mixing of a lighter gel moisturiser and a cream is not just a great concept for a product but an EXCELLENT idea in general. I live in a country where the dry/cold season only lasts about 2 months so I can never finish the heavier moisturiser I get for it in time. But I always keep a tube of the beauty of joseon red bean water gel to mix in with my heavier creams as it not only elevates the experience of creams for me (as someone with combo/oily skin), but it also helps me to use up products that otherwise would be too heavy for me. It’s so nice if you find a heavier repairing moisturiser that is a little heavy for daytime. Just mix a little bit of the gel with it and you get a beautiful light to medium weight moisturiser. And the best part is you can adjust it to your liking depending how much of each component you use.
One thing I really love about physical exfoliants is that I feel like I can genuinely customize how gentle or harsh they are just by the amount of pressure I use pushing them into my skin! With Chemical exfoliants sure I can leave them on for a shorter period of time, but I definitely don’t feel like I can get the same level of customization with those!
I have only recently tried Axis-Y for the first time and luckily I have started with their best product, the eye serum. I have always said that I can just use my standard moisturiser around my eyes unless I was wanting a specific active ingredient like retinol, in that case I'd use a eye cream with retinol in it. This eye serum changed my mind, the ingredients are amazing and the consistency paired with the roller ball is just so soothing and relaxing to use
Axis y has really been piquing my interest lately. I got a couple samples from yesstyle and i was very impressed with the panthenol moisturizer (i have oily skin) and now its sitting in my cart waiting for a better black friday deal, its sooo nice
Always appreciate the time stamps & detailed description box. iHerb got me with their K-Beauty skincare bag and the Axis-Y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum is on its way to me. The toner mist & eye serum might have to be my next purchases. I love a good toner mist (and I go through them so incredibly quick).
The only product I've used from Axis-Y is the mugwort mask and I love it! I struggle with redness and inflammation, and every time I use it my skin tone looks so even and all my irritation is gone. It's my favourite mask
I was just looking at their products today 😅 perfect timing. Would you consider reviewing KSECRET Seoul 1988 or APLB next year? I feel like I am not finding any reliable reviews and they've been coming out with some pretty interesting stuff.
Ahhh I’ve been waiting for this one! I love the Axis-Y panthenol 10 cream as a daytime, soothing moisturizer (I’ve also used it with Stratia lipid gold and I agree it works well to “boost” it for dry skin). Really excited to try the mist soon, I too love a good mist toner product! P.S. I was also curious about the calamine pore control serum for inflammation. Any particular reason you didn’t include this one or the spot the difference blemish treatment?
The only one I have and didn’t include is the spot treatment, simply because I haven’t had the breakouts to actually test it Oh how that feels odd to type lol!
I figured out what your number one was (didn't think about the mist). A derm did a recent fall pm routine with k-beauty and the axis-y eye serum was a part of it. Appreciate the green eye shadow.
My suspicion is that as more folks try out that eye serum, it’s going to be in more and more routines haha. It’s one of very few products that is easy to try and stick with 😁
I bought the mist after you first mentioned it and it stays on the counter ( too good and use it too frequently to put in the drawer) but oops missed that I should be shaking it😂 and the eye roller ball is a forever product, so soothing and cooling love it so much. Thanks again for an excellent review and clarifying about dark spots, I'm in your 60+ audience so that was helpful info.
Panthenol 10 shield cream - I am using it currently as my PM cream, I have oily skin and the air humidity is very low here, 25% only with central heating and cold outside.. I am very much enjoying this cream. It just feels good and just right for my skin, for PM. Maybe it is panthenol, but it makes my skin always feel very comfortable. I have a bit itchy skin, from psoriasis maybe or nerves.. I can also recommend this cream. For oily skin folks - very good for evening routine. And for normal/combo/a bit dry - AM routine.
Enjoyed this video, somehow I think I missed a video this week (crazy week for me) - I am in total denial that this year has past and that Black Friday is literally days away! 🤣Have a great weekend! 🌸💮🌸
Complete denial over here!! I feel like I blinked and missed it - though I can also say it was a tough year?? How can this year have been both of those things - it’s a paradox!! Hope you have a great weekend too 😊
Hi Alice, when you tried this mist I thought I love how finely it disperses the product, it must be very nice to replenish hydration during the day because all the mists I've seen have essential oils and I was looking for a mist that didn't have them, but I didn't know if it would be very hydrating. I wanted to ask you if it's possible to remove the lid to transfer any toner into that container afterwards? I hope you're doing well 😘
Hmmm ... so I purchased the dark spot correcting serum (this is the only Axis-Y product that I have tried). This didn't do anything for my skin and quite honestly I did not like the consistency of this - I did finish the product (I used it on my my neck) - this really was too thin for me, not a winner for me but then again I am 59 (I agree that these products are not possibly for my age group - or maybe just not for me). There are so many Kbeauty products for mature skin and that will benefit my skin - but that is the great thing about Kbeauty, there really is something for everyone (all ages). Not gonna lie - there are products in this line that I would like to try but I will pass. I am doing a very deep dive into Sulwhasoo and History of Whoo right now (don't want to purchase unnecessary products in either of these very pricey lines).
Absolutely there really is something for everyone! And that is a very wise plan to dig deeper into those two brands. I’d also say to check out the mini sizes if you can (some are a better value than the full sizes too 👀)
@@AliceintheRabbitHole I know! YesStyle - my cart is full of minis right now - seriously so well done with Sulwhasoo and The Whoo (they have a great selection of minis).
I bought the mineral sunscreen after seeing it in a Dr Vanita Rattan video about korean mineral sunscreens as it had no essential oils or fragrance, but yeah the white cast is annoying. I always wear foundation so it didn't matter much to me. The dark spot serum is useless, it doesn't work and the ingredients list has nothing remarkable other than just niacinamide which is in everything.
I have been waiting for this one Alice! I was never really interested in this brand (EO) until you told me they had changed their ways! Oh and you are a minty lime DREAM today and also also: “yes I did the math” is positively erotic😂
Axis-Y is such a great and underrated brand. The Vegan Collagen Eye Serum is my holy grail eye product. It's really enjoyable to use, not irritating, so hydrating, and so unique. I always wake up with puffy eyelids but this eye serum really helps to depuff and lift my eyelids, and I notice a difference in the skin around my eyes after using this for 2 months. I've tried many other eye creams and I always noticed a positive difference with my eyes after a couple months of consistent use, especially when the eye cream has peptides. Eye creams definitely work in my experience. The Axis-Y eye serum is special, though, because of the adorable roller ball that helps to DEPUFF and makes the experience ENJOYABLE 🤩🤩. I also love the Axis-Y Panthenol 10 Cream, but I wanted to try out the Dr. G R.E.D Blemish Cream and to my surprise, it's actually more moisturizing than the panthenol 10 cream! Well for me at least. I was surprised because the Dr. G R.E.D Blemish Cream is more of a gel-cream rather than a true cream. My dry skin mother also loves it and it has also become a holy grail for her. She thinks it's much more moisturizing than the Axis-Y Panthenol 10 Cream and any other cream she ever tried. My skin type is very sensitive, combination - oily t-zone and really dry u-zone, eczema, and rosacea 🍅. I also really like Axis-Y's PHA Resurfacing Glow Peel, but I get lazy about using it 😅 Sorry for the long comment
Thank you for sharing! I appreciate hearing more about the Dr. G too. The name really threw me off (definitely more of a gel!) but I agree that it is surprisingly moisturizing 😊
Love that your look matches the products!💚
I appreciate that you caught my effort 😁

It really does!

Ksecret retinol is awesome
Absolutely, APLB is one I’ve been considering myself!

Yes!!!! I'm here for it
Thank you ❤ I really like a lot of their products as well.😊
I'd love to see you review Primera in (gasp!) 2025! They have a barrier repair peptide line that I've been really curious about!
They seem to be making some changes as a brand. It would be very interesting to revisit them!
I always glanced past this brand because the packaging and the marketing didn't appeal to me. I might pick up the duo cream!

Wondering have you tried sioris mist and also the alba mist?
Hi. Happy Friday ❌️ ⭕️

We need a new backdrop for 2025, Alice!
You know what. You’re right!
Personally, I love the background
