I love how Scar King is just the polar opposite of Kong. Kong is a big bruiser that punches, Scar King is an agile fighter who would rather use a weapon than his fists. Scar King is also very graceful and acrobatic, so much so that he makes Kong look clumsy by comparison. Scar King's weapon also suits him perfectly. The whip is a weapon that requires a lot of practice and precision to use. Whips are also a symbol of oppression, which fits Scar King's role as a tyrannical conqueror. When Scar King fights with his whip, it almost makes him look like a ribbon dancer with how he flips around and strikes with his whip.
Yes amazing character and design sadly writing was changed for end fight and for many fans these days not in a good way

They gave Scar King such dynamic body language that communicated more than a line of dialogue could.
This was Scar King's peak in the story, he had done it, he had escaped the Hollow Earth. His army was left behind but no matter, he still had Shimo. This was his moment to become Alpha of the entire Earth.
Tragically... from there it was all downhill for him.
Because The KING will not suffer this lightly.

It's crazy how Skar look's so much larger on the surface than he does at hollow earth
I think it's mostly because we see hollow earth from Kong's perspective
Because the hollow is made for the titans, they’re supposed to look like human size down there, but since the surface isn’t designed for such large creatures, they look much bigger on the surface

You can almost feel that punch. It was supercharged and a personal one from a giant monkey that can cause earthquakes with his punches + the glove is made out of Mechagodzilla's tech. The fact that Skar stands up, spits out a tooth and becomes pissed makes him more badass.

If you count this as the same battle as the Hollow Earth one then it's about as long as the rest of the Monsterverse final fights but what makes this better is that ALL OF THE SCREENTIME is on the monsters this time (except GVK which also mainly focused on monsters).

Something as simple as slowing down the music was an effective means of showing the change of atmosphere
It's odd seeing Scar King's size in the human world. Like, you know he's big just like any other titan because you've seen him next to Kong. But before this scene he was only ever shown in Hollow Earth where literally everything is titan-sized, which doesn't make him seem as big.

@@CrazyIshan69 Not really, SK's only shorter than Kong by a few meters when standing upright if you go back and watch when he inspects his new metal tooth. He just seems much smaller due to standing in a hunched posture a lot of the time.

I've noticed that in 1 or 2 of the past few films, there are sometimes religious metaphors juxtaposed in certain shots, like the frame of Cristo Redentor against the backdrop of Shimo (under Skar's orders) creating an ice storm, or in KOTM where King Ghidorah defiantly roars against the backdrop of 3 crosses. Either way, Christ has proved himself as King over any existential threat.
