Hi B & S 👍 Great video again. Hope your OK. All the best CHARLIE (EICMA) SOZ for your PUNCTURE 😭😭😭 Had my fair share of them. With respect B, your looking nice and SLIM S. Till the next one.
Thumbs up 👍👍👍👍.... great south of England tour... sitting here in rainy Germany enjoying the sadly last episode of a beautiful tour.... thank you very much for this😚. It was a lot of fun watching you guys. Have a nice weekend and cheers🍻🍻
😀Giiday Guys, Great job on the video. Looked like another great Trip. Crack me up ol Abdul, definitely a entertaining place to dine LOL. Yeah good you got the bike pulled over Suree before the tyre went completely flat. All part of the Adventure. Ride Safe, Party on, Cheers Paul 🍻🍺🍻
Thanks Paul! We were very lucky with the tyre and managing to get to a safe place. You’re right about Abdul - very entertaining 😂 we had a brilliant trip and thanks for watching! 👍😀
So glad you coped safely with your tire issue. My 1986 BMW came with a BMW tire repair kit. Use the pliers from the tool kit to pull the nail or screw or other sharp item that is stuck in the tire. Use the special tool and rubber plug to plug the hole. Use the CO2 cartridges to air up the tire. Of course if you have a slice on the tire it’s of no help. I have always felt peace of mind having that little repair kit on my BMW. That said, I have never had a repair kit for our Harleys. After watching your video, I’m ordering a kit for Pam’s and my bike. They are handy to have if you’re in a remote location with no cell service. Loved your tour of New Forest on this frosty morning in Wyoming. Keep the shiny side up.😎👍
Thank you very much Bill! We now have a plug kit but the garage told us the damage was probably too much for a plug anyway but at least we’ll feel better carrying one in future. Hope all is well in Wyoming! 😀😀
Another enjoyable ride in a lovely part of the country. I was surprised you didn't carry a puncture repair kit and tyre inflator. I wouldn't dare ride out without mine.
Thank you John! We carry one now 👍 but this puncture was too big to fix with a plug according to the garage - but next time we’ll have a fighting chance! 😀👍
Looks a stunning place. Done the new forest on the way to the Isle of Wight 😍. Parents always said Boughton on the water was gorgeous but never payed attended…WOW what a lovely place. I must take the group to meet Abdul, absolute star ❤️❤️🤘🏻
It is a stunning place and well worth a visit! We think you and the crew would really like a night at Abdul’s 😂 he was a funny bloke - a bit like an Indian Basil Fawlty! We appreciate your comments and Thanks for watching! 😀👍
Great video as always, I just purchased a Tiger gt same colour as Sue’s… had the engine bars and fog lights, centre stand and low rider seat, and triumph top box too !!i absolutely love it.. best bike I’ve owned…. Thanks so much for another great video👍
Hi Rob, thank you for your lovely comments and for watching our adventures. I’m so glad you love the 900. I’ve had mine for just short of a year now and it was absolutely the best decision 👍We we’re considering putting an “800 to 900, one year on” review video up shortly. Wishing you miles of smiles 🐯👍
Great video diary vlog yet again pity about the anti climax with the tyre. Although I carry a tyre repair kit with me on longer runs I've never had to use it only suffering a rear tyre puncture, in a tyre only 10 days old, and a rear blowout which luckily happened after some spirited riding and I was already slowing coming into town anyway. The Landsdowne, a 5 star full house, that is a rarity. All the best to you both.
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed it. The tyre problem was disappointing but at least it happened at the end and not the beginning 😀 you were lucky with your rear tyre blowout 😳! We definitely would recommend the Lansdowne - great accommodation - thanks again for watching! 👍😀
Many thanks for all of the time and effort you have obviously put into making these amazing video travels. The love and respect that you obviously have for each other shines through in your videos. Many thanks and keep on travelling. Best regards Neil
Love watching your channel lovely couple hope you come up my way sometime you welcome for coffee or tea bill near Durham sue seems a lovely lady always a smile
Some great scenery and roads there Brian. I see in another post you have a repair kit now. If it uses the co2 canisters I'd suggest you get a mini compressor as they are not capable of inflating the tyre to the correct pressure and the only time I used them I got through 3 before I had enough pressure in to be able to limp to a petrol garage and top it up. I've got an Airman, which I power via a fused flying SAE lead that doubles up for my optimate battery monitor as if you try and use the aux socket on the GS the canbus will likely trip as the current drain from the compressor is too high. With one of those and your engine running so you don't flatten your battery you can inflate your tyre to the correct pressure there and then. Also if you don't already have some don't forget some tools to remove the nail or screw from the tyre (I've got some long nosed pliers and wire cutters) and make sure you apply plenty of vulcanizing glue if you're using the twiglet string type as that lubricates the hole and string whike you're trying to push it through the hole.
Thanks for sharing your New Forest tour. We live in a beautiful country best explored by motorcycle! This trip was a good antidote to a very wet winters day here in Devon.....Roll on the Spring! Cheers.
Thank you very much Quentin! You’re absolutely right, it is a beautiful country especially being explored on two wheels (good weather is also a bonus!). Thanks for watching! 😀👍
Thanks Anthony! Glad you enjoyed it - it’s such a beautiful part of the country. The puncture was an unfortunate end to the tour but all’s well that ends well! 😀👍
Totally enjoy your videos. Excellent way for me to pass time while on the indoor cycle here in Oregon. Like you, my wife Lindy and I have ridden many places in the world, but your videos make us want to return to the UK. We've had the privilege of riding the your Lake District, the NC500, Isle of Man, and Ireland. Look forward to retracing some of your routes. Ride on, video on!
Thanks very much Robert! Sounds like you and Lindy have done some great tours 👍 glad they help to get through your workouts! We appreciate your comments and thanks for watching! 👍😀
Great video, as usual. I sympathize at the end. I had a puncture on the way home from a fantastic ride. Fortunately we were only c. 5 mins drive from home so my husband went and got our motorcycle trailer to get my bike home. Look forward to your next trip.
Yet another great video Guy's. New camera mounts and Sue with 360 view's 👍. Sad having the puncture, an inconvenience at best, par for the course with biking unfortunately. Last 2 new bikes I've had punctures within weeks of ownership 🤬
Another great episode thanks. Bourton on the Water just looks beautiful as have your last couple of accommodations. That object in the tyre looked like it probably cost you a new tyre, not fixable with a plug I think. Luckily Carol rescued me when I got a flat in Glencoe last summer
It's nice to see you wandering about Bourton on the Water without any idiots wearing a soggy rancid piece of cloth over their faces. I'm only about 60 miles away, and they are still here! 🤣
Great enjoyable series you produce some of the most watchable relaxed videos on you tube and you always have lots of little touches that most people forget pity about the puncture near the end but didn't affect another great video thanks for sharing you trip looking forward to more in the future
Thank you very much Jim! We really appreciate your comments 👍 the puncture was an inconvenience but at least it happened at the end of the trip and not the beginning! 😀👍
Hi another great vid so nice to watch something without adverts and great music love the chap in the Indian restaurant had a sense of humour look forward to your further adventures this year I think that’s the first place where you stayed with you’ve given five out of 5 all the way and having tire sensors on the bikes makes a lot of sense ride safe 👍🇬🇧
Thanks Trevor! We appreciate your comments and the Indian restaurant was certainly an experience 😂 we actually gave 5/5 to one other place - Panteinion Lodge in Wales! You’re right about the tyre sensor too! 😀
Great video, shame about the puncture, I guess you have a plug kit by now? They are worth having, I had a flat once, a good hour from home, luckily, I had it plugged and on my way within 20min. Ride safe guys.
Thank you Tim! Yes, we have a plug kit now 👍 but the garage said it was probably too big for a plug to work 🤷♂️ at least we have one now just in case! 😀👍
It’s thumbs up before I even watch the video! … Another great installment; such professionalism putting this together. Too bad about the flat tyre. Last weekend my one year old GS showed a warning of problem with engine control, ride to the next garage. Unfortunately, the bike didn’t start after stopping at the gas station. I had to be towed, after waiting 1.5 hours in near freezing weather . I will definitely buy a plug kit after your experience, though the hole was too big in your tyre ,it wouldn’t have helped you anyway. As always, thank you and stay calm and drink beer(or wine,or both)…. Greetings, Jim (Berlin) . P.s. my software had to be updated, nothing was wrong with the bike….oh,well
Thanks very much Jim! We’ve now got a plug kit 👍 but you’re absolutely right about the hole being too big this time. Shame about your GS software problem 😟 unfortunately that’s the downside of all the hi tech bikes we have now! Thanks for watching and supporting the channel! 😀👍
Hi Sue , Bri ,hope your both well , we watched this for the 2nd time last niight just brilliant ,we decided to book the Lansdowne Guest House for a 2 night stay in september thanks to your recommendation , we have also pre booked the mouse trap 😉 also planning to stop further down to visit sammy millers 👍thanks again Dale & Dawn
Thanks for another great (mini) series. As to the tire, I'm rubbish with the spanners, but even I learned how to use a rope-plug on a tire so I wouldn't have my tour interrupted when I got a flat/puncture. I practiced on a tire that was worn out and needed to be changed anyway, and was pleasantly surprised I did just fine. Just a thought...
Thanks very much Marco! We now have a plug kit 👍 but the garage said it was probably too big to repair with a kit anyway - but at least we have one for the future! 😀👍
@@matthewholmes7597 good question! To be honest I wouldn’t because I don’t think I’d want the extra responsibility - if it was an emergency I’d do it but not really out of choice! 😀
I was about to say don't you carry a plug repair kit (something I'm never without) but I saw how big that foreign object in the tyre was! I enjoyed the series and thanks for sharing, shame about the puncture but good job it was on the way home!
Thanks Nick! We do have a repair kit but as you say it wouldn’t have worked on that piece of metal 😟 but rather near the end of the tour than at the beginning! 👍😀
@@midlifemotorcyclediaries you can use multiple plugs in a single hole to repair a tyre. Still means a you are up for a new tyre at the end of the day but it will get you out of trouble.
Great watch guys what a B&B Lansdowne was fantastic room I love the area around Marlborough ad Salisbury and down that way the rivers are so clear and clean looking unlike the ones I see around where I live near Hebden Bridge . I felt your pain with the puncture I have taken to carrying a mini compressor and plug kit in the hope I don't get stuck although I am also in the RAC just incase : )
Thanks very much! The Lansdowne was a great place to stay 👍 and you’re absolutely right about that part of the country - beautiful! Like you we’ve now got a plug kit too! 😀👍
Just the right tonic for this dreary Friday morning, enjoyed the vlog so much as usual, good to see the sun shining and enjoying the ride. You both look well.
Ah, punctures. Happened to me twice in one week. The second time I was passing a wagon that was passing a wagon on the M1, doing 70+ when the rear went from full to empty in an instant. That was a close one!
Thanks for getting me out the house whilst working from home, funny how I feel like I've had some fresh air from my desk. Nice to see what my new Tiger looks like on the road:-) Bad news about the tyre, happen to me on my Ninja 1000SX after just 1700miles. TPS yeah!
I thought Sue was parting company with you there for a second when she passed you on the two lane. You had a funny surprise look on your face. I just started carrying a tire kit and compressor on the bike last year for the reason of what happened to you guys. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you so much for the watch and happy trails from (still frozen) Montana.
@@midlifemotorcyclediaries get a mini compressor as well, if you want to look at a good one message me and I will send you the details of the one I've got 👍
Sad end to an eventful journey - at least it wasn't pouring with rain!!! Maybe worth considering a tyre plug kit between you both on your travels. best wishes and safe travels for the future.
Love Bourton on the Water - we came all the way from Australia to see it (well, to see our son and daughter in-law in Cardiff, and they took us there). But it left us wanting to do an MMD-style tour! I don’t think our son will loan us his brand new Speed Triple though 😉
Hi Sue & Brian love watching your videos. Abdul was a classic to watch, both my partner & I laughed our socks off. I have also upgraded from the Tiger 800 to the Tiger 900 GT Pro, Sue I nearly went for the white one till I saw yours and also saw it in the day light. Yes I fell in love with it. I’m after a bit of advice please from you both. My partner bought me a Go Pro Hero 10, I want to mount it on the bike or helmet. What would you recommend please. Where would be better helmet, crash bars or handle bars and which mounts did you use please. I have an Akaso and would like to mount this on my top box and recommendations please. As my partner has no concept of land, I always lead and would like to film him following. Thank you in advanced Audrey
Thanks very much Audrey! We’re glad you enjoyed Abdul 😂 he made our night! The 900 was the best decision I ever made - I love it more every time I ride it. I’ll let Bri talk about cameras! Hi Audrey, it’s just a personal point of view but I would never mount cameras on our helmets because it might affect the integrity of the helmets if you had a fall, it certainly spoils the aerodynamics! That’s why we always Mount them on the bike. It doesn’t really matter whether you use the handlebars or crash bars - depends upon what kind of shot you’re looking for. We often alternate them. We use RAM mounts. If you want to video your partner the top box is a good place to Mount the Akaso 👍 Hope that helps and thanks for watching! 😀
Thank you! I don’t think it was connected to Agatha Christie 🤔 a pity because it looked a decent place but then again if we’d have eaten there we would have missed the entertainment of Abdul! 👍😀
I carry a puncture repair kit in the The Tigers top box but I had nothing to sort out 17 litres of Diesel I put in the tank t'other day just over a mile from home. RAC couldn't help but the chap phoned me a "Fuel Flush" mobile service. I could have pushed the bike home but with no suitable equipment (pump and Battery booster) to remove the diesel I bit the bullet" £140 plus £30 fuel lost plus £29.00 to replenish the tank. 🤬
Wow Tony! That’s a serious mishap 😱 I remember putting a few litres of paraffin ( I think 🤔) in the tank of my Triumph Sprint 1050 on a trip in France while the attendant just watched 🤬! You don’t make that mistake twice! 😂
Another great video. I feel for you Sue having to pilly, after my mishap last May in Wales...not quite the same is it?! 😕 Hope you got it sorted fairly quickly. 🙏 That’s funny, I remember passing the Lansdowne on Sunday and said to Ian, ooh that looks nice! We parked up just further down the road for a coffee stop in Bourton, on our way home from Winchcombe. Lovely town and fairly quiet this time of year. I stood on that very same bridge too! In fact we like the area so much, it’s on our top place to move to! Got a night booked in Cheltenham in Feb to check out the town centre. Thanks for all your hints and tips too! 👍🏻
You’re welcome! Thank you for watching our adventures. I always consider Cheltenham my home as I lived there from being 11. It’s a lovely place. Make sure you have a walk up to Montpellier at the top of the town 👍Pure Triumph had my puncture fixed within an hour of receiving the bike - we were suitably impressed. It was a real pain hanging about waiting for the RAC but at least the sun was shining and we were pretty safe in the lay-by. Have a fab time in Feb 😀👍
@@midlifemotorcyclediaries thanks Sue. We are staying in the Queens hotel in Montpelier! Looks a bit posh for us but it’s only 1 night so what the heck!! 🤷🏼♀️
@@5coaly Whoop! The Queens is very posh 😀 I’ve never stayed there but it was always considered the best hotel in Cheltenham, when I was a kid. I hope it’s still lovely - and it is definitely in the best location for the town, town hall and Montpellier. Have the best time 👍
No not a puncture on the newby 🤯. Hope your both well. Apart from that how you finding the new 900, is it the low option (doesn't look it) only I'm thinking of a replacement for my GSX650F and love the look of both the 800 (20, plate) and the new 900 tigers, still yet to test ride either but being vertically challenged will have to test for height 😆.
Hi Andrew, well, a year after I traded my lovely 800 XRT for the new 900 GTPro I can honestly say it was the best decision ever! In my humble opinion, it’s more responsive, has more ‘toys’ (like the amazing quick shifter) and it’s much easier to ride as the centre of gravity is much lower. I love it more every time I ride it and, whilst I grew to love the 800, I’d never go back. It’s the standard option but I have the seat on the lowest setting. I’m 5’6” but have quite long legs so I can get my feet flat. I’d really recommend a test ride. ☺️👍
@@midlifemotorcyclediaries Thankyou for replying 👍 I definitely need to try one of these, but I got short legs 🤣 sat on 800 with comfort seat and I was on balls of both feet so need to get into dealers try a 900 for size, thanks stay safe love the vlogs 🏍👍🏍👍

I see you rode down Primrose Lane into Slab Lane then on to Downton, this is our neck of the woods
We just followed the sat nav! It was a great little single track road 👍 our kind of riding - you live in a great part of the country! 😀👍
I use to live in Haresfield Gloucester 😀 Love your Vlogs
Thank you! 😀
Hi Sue , Bri ,hope your both well , we watched this for the 2nd time last niight just brilliant ,we decided to book the Lansdowne Guest House for a 2 night stay in september thanks to your
recommendation , we have also pre booked the mouse trap 😉 also planning to stop further down to visit sammy millers 👍thanks again Dale & Dawn
Thanks Dale! We hope you enjoy the Lansdowne and have a fantastic tour round Sammy Miller’s and the New Forest area! 👍😀
@@midlifemotorcyclediaries Hi Sue would you ever take a first time pillion rider on your bike at all
@@matthewholmes7597 good question!
@@MTBrider26 thanks for that!
Thanks for another great tripp, love what you do! keep up the great work.
Thank you Leif! We’re glad you enjoyed it and thanks for your comments! 😀👍
Always nice travelling with you guys!
Thank you 🙏 we appreciate it and thanks for watching! 😀👍
Bourton brings back many happy memories for me! Lovely photography and smooth editing 👌 always good to see you have posted.
Thank you Sue! Bourton is such a lovely place we’re glad it brought back some good memories for you! 👍😀
@@midlifemotorcyclediaries PS Abdul was so funny!!
@@suebt8794 it made for an entertaining meal!
Just the right tonic for this dreary Friday morning, enjoyed the vlog so much as usual, good to see the sun shining and enjoying the ride. You both look well.
Thanks very much Lee! Glad it cheered up a dreary morning 😀 it’s always good to see a bit of sunshine ☀️! 😀😀
Ah, punctures. Happened to me twice in one week. The second time I was passing a wagon that was passing a wagon on the M1, doing 70+ when the rear went from full to empty in an instant. That was a close one!
Glad you had a great time shame about the puncture but glad you got home safe.
Thank you Derek! It was a shame to end the tour with a puncture but at least Sue had tyre pressure sensors so we had some warning ⚠️👍😀
Thanks for getting me out the house whilst working from home, funny how I feel like I've had some fresh air from my desk. Nice to see what my new Tiger looks like on the road:-) Bad news about the tyre, happen to me on my Ninja 1000SX after just 1700miles. TPS yeah!
Thanks Andrew! You’ll love your new bike 😀 TPS are definitely a good idea! 👍😀
Thank you! I thought she was parting company too 😂! We learned a good lesson and now carry a tyre repair kit 👍 Hope all is well in Montana! 😀👍
Just subscribed after watching your NC500 trip and this one. Love the music choice! very professional and entertaining videos 😊👍
Thanks very much Barry! We’re glad you enjoyed watching our adventures. We appreciate your comments and thanks for subscribing! 😀👍
Love the diaries, making us more envious each day as the spring creeps in. We cant wait to dust off our bikes and charge up the air vests.
Thanks Martyn! We’re glad they’re giving you some inspiration! 😀👍
Another great video, looks like a good trip apart from the last stretch home. That Triumph does look nice.
Thank you 🙏 at least it happened on the way home and not at the start! 😀👍
Hope all is well and you two will be back soon!
Thanks very much! We’ll be back very soon! 😀👍
Got myself a new tred Tiger 900GT Pro in red! Loving it so far, GS just too costly.
Congratulations Andrew! Sue absolutely loves hers - a great bike. Hope you have some fantastic tours on it! Better value than a GS too! 👍👍
Another very enjoyable video, (apart from the end bit 🙈) get yourself a tyre plug kit and a small pump 👍
Thanks Del! Got a tyre plug kit 👍 but it probably wouldn’t have helped with the size of this puncture 😟 but at least ready for next time! 😀👍
Thanks very much Phil! Glad you enjoyed it - yes, at least it wasn’t raining at the end. We’ve now got a plug kit! 👍😀
Love Bourton on the Water - we came all the way from Australia to see it (well, to see our son and daughter in-law in Cardiff, and they took us there). But it left us wanting to do an MMD-style tour! I don’t think our son will loan us his brand new Speed Triple though 😉
Thank you Mal! It’s a great place to tour and you certainly came a long way to see it! You’ll have to hire a bike next time you’re here! 👍😀
Great video! Was The Mousetrap Inn an Agatha Christie themed pub? Too bad about the flat, those things happen usually when you least expect it.
Thank you! I don’t think it was connected to Agatha Christie 🤔 a pity because it looked a decent place but then again if we’d have eaten there we would have missed the entertainment of Abdul! 👍😀
What's your plans this year?? Love watching the vlogs.
Any plans you'll be going to Ireland 🇮🇪 to watch that
Thank you Darren! We’re not sure what our tours will be just yet but we’d love to do an Ireland trip at some time! 👍😀
Good afternoon - When are you planning next trip ? I am missing you guys on U Tube ....Thanks Mark
Thanks very much Mark! Got one planned very soon, we know it’s been a while but sadly work got in the way - we’ll try not to let that happen again!
Thanks for another informative entertaining video 👍. . Have you been or do you plan to do an Ireland trip ? 🙂
Thank you David! Glad you enjoyed it - an Ireland trip is definitely on our to do list! 😀👍
Another great video. I feel for you Sue having to pilly, after my mishap last May in Wales...not quite the same is it?! 😕 Hope you got it sorted fairly quickly. 🙏
That’s funny, I remember passing the Lansdowne on Sunday and said to Ian, ooh that looks nice!
Have the best time 👍
I take it the ' Indian ' food turned out to be not so great. Good video.
To be honest Tom it wasn’t the best but it was OK! Worth it for the entertainment 😂 thanks for watching! 😀👍
Hi MMD! I have seent you post any new content lately. Hope you both are well!
Thanks Mike! Apologies, work got in the way 😟 doing a a new mini tour in April! 😀👍
Hello are you both well as not seen any new videos from you lately
