When I look at announcements like these, I feel like I'd prefer if there were none at all. Without them, I could hold onto hope that the developers are focusing on important things, like a new combat system. As it stands, it feels like they're only working on minor details.
@@bobbythorton7693 More building materials would be a meaningful addition to Pax Dei, a game where the combat system is excellent and engaging, the economy is fully implemented, resources in the wild are well-balanced, more than one region is available (including at least one PvP region), and features like the siege system are operational. When I see announcements like today’s, I start wondering if I somehow missed all those things.
@@marshllogaming9705 As someone who uses bows like the ones in Pax Dei, I’d say the archery system is well done. However, I’ve watched professional fighters in full plate armor engaging in sword combat often enough to know that the melee combat system in the game is poorly executed.
I love the game BUT they are super focused on detail (not game play). They need to give purpose for building a house - protection from the elements, protection from the environment - nothing comes around to harm the player / attack the structures. There is no treasure that the npc's are protecting and the drops from assessors etc.... is pretty much the same at every level. Still no more furniture - they have a table and chairs, bed - no couch, rugs, throne, etc..... but then again it isn't needed since it can't be used. Can't wait for them to focus on that vs the intense detail of things.
Concerning the building issue you spoke about c'mon...they already said things like that are coming (npc raiders/bandits).....the building structures they are putting in place is only setting up the stage for the future when we fight wars and make use of catapults and the likes..... remember, the game design is not the regular game we play, it's a virtual medieval world we live in and we write the story ourselves (browse their site and read the lore).....the npcs are only majorly meant to keep the world busy (just like you go to work everyday and you're not just interacting with your neighbors only) so we can go on adventures, fight monsters and also that's where we get the money we use in business from... we're actually the ones fighting ourselves (different religions, factions and all), that's what the upgrade in tiers are for...when your building in strong enough, certain weapons and equipments can't penetrate through , same goes for your armour....so , it's about us...not the npcs
@@DavidOdewale-vt5jb Game detail isn't usually the first thing that is focused on. Game play is. This is super saturated on microscopic detail of all objects and environment - don't get me wrong I love the game. The priorities are backwards.
@@trevors7905I love the game too, I sincerely hope they pull this off big time.....concerning those minor details, if you've noticed, they only announce things like that on the day the update drops (when they shut down for certain hours and drop patch notes of what's going on) that's when they talk of minor details.....if you check the road map, you will see that the combat and some other minor details are ongoing...so, their development will continue until it's very ok/good or until launch day/date✌️
Nothing about fixing lag or current gameplay issues. It’s always bells and whistles with this company and no actual performance updates. Wow one new mob and some creepy biome that’s more than likely AI generated and will be just as barebones and copy pasted just like the current dungeons. Wow and new signs?? Jesus I’m so glad signs are their priority instead of fixing people literally not being able to play on beast machines because of their lag update that they still haven’t fixed. What a circus lol more things to keep is distracted from how little this game actually has to offer.

When mounts arrive ill be back for sure and the new biomes look great! thanks for info man.
Trees are already in Merrie (SE) and look awesome!
Thanks, Demone. I am really looking forward to the next common updates.

yeah it's like hey more building stuff....
great
It's a realistic somewhat medieval combat, the combat is fine just needs more tuning

it's an alpha so you may want to lower the expectations you have set for the game till it launches.
