- The US Army is set to deploy its newly developed Mid-Range Capability (MRC) long-range launcher, known as Typhon, in the Indo-Pacific region next year, as revealed by a four-star general. The land-based system is designed to launch Raytheon's SM-6 missiles and Tomahawk cruise missiles, covering the range between the Precision Strike Missile's (PrSM) planned 500-kilometer reach and the future Long-Range Hypersonic Weapon's (LRHW) 2,776-kilometer capability.

Not to mention, only Tomahawk is sub-sonic. SM-6 is hypersonic and the PrSM is ballistic with supersonic or hypersonic re-entry and LRHW is hypersonic … but not just as an adjective like Russian so called “hypersonic missiles” this is an actual hypersonic missile.
First off, plenty of American missiles go and have gone hypersonic in speed but the LRHW is an actual hypersonic missile that does need to take a ballistic course to reach those speeds (like russia’s and China’s does) and it maneuvers in an unpredictable path to the target.. along with electronic warfare that is next level .. unlike the East’s Stone Age and unproven tech
