HOW TO apply rosemary oil for HAIR LOSS - A dermatologist Explains.

- here's how I recommend using rosemary based on the randomized trial study. I still prefer and recommend minoxidil among many other treatments for my patients but rosemary oil is a great affordable option, too! As with any hair loss treatment the goal is to KEEP the hair you have and slow the genetically programed loss. If you get more growth that's a plus! And just plain Rosemary oil is fine.

If you want to go bald apply it neat! If you want to grow hair, always use a carrier oil.
What proportion
What carrier oils
i use castor or olive, they work best
Is coconut oil a good carrier? I put a spoon of coconut oil and five drops of rosemary
use engine oil😂
I put a few drops of rosemary oil in my mist bottle with water and shake it well…I mist bout 3 times a day, daily & my hair been growing.

If you want to put it in ur hair products, a conditioner will work alot better than shampoo. Since a shampoo will wash off oils and the conditioner will hold them.
But conditioner can't be applied to the scalp. That would be really really bad.
@@brokenprincessofhell4743 where else do you apply conditioner…?
Well no because this is supposed to gon the scalp and you don't apply conditioner to the scalp but to the roots of your hair..
wtf? That’s nasty, you use shampoo to clean yourself off of dirt. If you don’t it’s disgusting

I've been taking finasteride for about a year now, and i wasn't seeing a whole lot of new growth. it did seem to stop any further hair loss, but that was it.
i decided to start using rosemary oil in the last 4 months and i'm seeing plenty of baby hairs underneath the hair on my crown and hairline.
This is only in my case, as i don't think it's generally recommended to use rosemary oil alongside other hair loss treatments. but it's working for me and i'm happy

I would add the rosemary oil to your conditioner, rather than your shampoo, because the detergent in the shampoo will break down the oil
But u leave it in for 5min then rinse it all off?
@@eliaspkay if you shampoo and condition then complete your shower that gives you all the time you need. The active ingredient in the oil will penetrate the pores of your scalp and you will still get all the benefits even after rinsing the conditioner from your hair. No matter how well you rinse, you will still have a residual amount on your hair
Get a “detergent free” shampoo lol
Conditioner should never be applied to the scalp
@@MrChip1217conditioner is not meant to be applied to the scalp and the directions don’t even tell you to on the bottle. Conditioner clogs the pores of your scalp and causes excess sebum and grease which clogs hair follicles further leading to hair loss. Rosemary oil should be alone or with a carrier oil. Starwest Botanicals sells an organic Rosemary essential oil in olive oil so that’s all you need unless someone wants to buy the Rosemary essential oil separately and mix into a carrier oil themselves which is more costly to do but will allow the Rosemary to be able to be used for things like cleaning the home.
As a hairdresser of nearly a few years, I can tell you, that you are not intended to use harsh hair shampoo on your hair.
I have observed hair lines of numerous folks, and I spotted that folks who were using harsh shampoos generally had poor hairline.
So I suggest only to use gentle shampoo only. I personally use and suggest to apply littleextrra coconioon shampoo only.
Also, do hot oil massage twice a week as it improves circulation and encourages hair.
I havent shampooed in almost 6 weeks and my hair is healthier and less oily compared to when i used organic shampoos

The Correct and safe dillution for a Rosemary Hair oil is 18 drops of rosmeary essential oil (rosmarinus officinalis ct verbenone) per 30mls/ 1oz carrier oil. This would make the overall mixture a 2% dilution which is what the clinical literature on rosemary for hair loss uses. 2mls of the final mixture is used in the hair daily with results typically showing at the 6 month mark, with same or better results than minoxidil

What do you dilute the peppermint oil with?
It’s Rosemary oil. You can use peppermint oil but you’ll regret it when it makes your brain believe you’re showering in ice water. Rosemary oil doesn’t do that and you can just dilute it in water or melted coconut oil or olive oil or argan oil
Spray bottle method wont be effective for this, and you would not be using peppermint oil for this.

Mine is low porosity hair, i have frizzy and dried hair, i wanted to use both rosemary oil and rosemary water, so when to use, when to not, mean in many of the videos i watched that for better results uh have to use the rosemary water daily nd it's not necessary to wash, bt spraying on oily hair doesn't absorb the water, so if we won't oil the hair, does it cause over frizz, does it damage the hair, i have heavy hair fall too.... requested to give a reply to this.
Isnt 1ml twice daily going to make your hair look greasy all the time
I have a rosemary oil bottle, it says “infused” in it. I don’t speak English well. My friend says it means it’s already mixed and doesn’t need carrier oil. Is that true?

I apply and when I use the scalp massager I see hairs on the massager. Is this normal?? Makes me feel like I’m losing my hair
Do you need to apply it to dry hair or can it be wet? For how long do you leave it on before washing?
At least 4 hours. It can be a little damp but probably won’t work as well wet because your hair can absorb less when it’s soaked.
Your hair can be dry or slighly damp when applying. I would not recommend applying it on completely wet hair as you wont be able to distribute the oil properly in your scalp and hair and you may end up using more oil than needed. The question on my mind that I can’t find the answer to - what was the oil amount and the rosemary amount used in the study? It had to be tested with a specific amount . Otherwise when we remake it our percentage could be off versus the amount used in the study

As its a mixed product, it is not pure rosemary essential oil and contains a lot of different essential oils such as lavender, patchouli, etc and quite a lot of different carrier oils.
It does not state what percentage of total essential oils is found in this product, nor does it indicate what percentage of Rosemary essential oil is in it.
