I like your personality so much. Your voice is soothing and not too girly, you have a very down-to-earth feel to you and you're not as exaggerated and hyper as other YT'ers. Not to mention the simple video editing style and the awesome quality.
Thanks. Sometimes I think I'm so boring though, I bore myself when I'm editing, I wish I could cut myself out entirely. I'm glad to hear you don't mind my personality though!
Your doing great! i have followed you for years now and your captivating as ever. I would love it if you ever did an hour long doc or something like that!
I was in Fukuoka for the release of Pokemon GO in Japan, and the first couple days were great. There was a summer festival going on in the Nishijin area one night and there were lures and people playing all down the street. It was so cool to see all those people playing the same game and having fun with it.
Oh Micaela do you remember that I'll go to Kyusyu area in this summer? I decided to go to Fukuoka and Nagasaki for three days on September! I'm so excited! I'll stay at...Tenjin hotel, I think. Can't wait what it's like to be in Kyusyu!
This looks soooo cool! I've been taking Pokemon GO everywhere I visit but I haven't been that far away from my hometown in a while - wish the game had been out when I visited Japan, Spain, America and Belgium in the span of 2 years... One day I hope to go to Fukuoka, with or without Pokemon (Heeey we're the same team haha)
I live in Recife, Brazil and here is a city full of rivers and near the sea, we have many water channels and bridges. Dratinis, poliwags, horseas, parases, pinsirs, staryus, tangelas, krabbies, psyducks, tentacools, magicarps, are very commons around here. Bulbasaurs, weedles, goldeens, nidorans, pikachus are often seen. Best places here are the "Marco Zero" and old city area. There are several pokestops around and among the resident players, there are also a bunch of tourists too.
I live in Sendai City, and the place is filled with pidgey, rattata and weedles lol. 勾当台公園 however is known to have semi-frequent pikachu spawns and is almost always full of lured pokestops :) I'm yet to find other cool places like Fukuoka Tower in Sendai where many types appear sadly ):
Fukuoka is now on our vacation list! Been in Japan for almost 10 days and already starting to scout out new places to go - next trip! From USA Dallas Texas . . . and generally get the same types as there are in every place I been to here (Tokyo, Mt Fuji, Ito, etc) The only thing different is the sheer density of pokestops in Tokyo! OMG! And the vast number of Pokemon zombies there . . . loved the video - you are wonderful ;)
I live in rural area in Niigata prefecture...so I envy you living in crowded city not only to get pokemon but also can be in many interesting places! ^^
Yes. I saw a dragonite by my house. Walked in circles for an hour... Huis Ten Bosch there are loads too. Lots of magicarp, psyducks, slowbros, and if you pop a lure loads of dratinis. I'm so going to canal city. Lol.
I don't now about Fukuoka Tower, but yep, Canal city is a greaaat spot, you've got about 5-6 pokestops in a 100m radius wich makes it very easy to refill your items, and those stops are almost always lured ! I farmed a lot of magikarp there and was able to evolve it into a gyarados in a few days ! Anyway great vid !
Yeah! I wish I had more time to spend at each location (I did shoot two days in Tenjin because I wanted to make sure there was nothing there), but I wished I could have stayed longer at Fukuoka Tower and Canal City!
what a nice idea of video !!! people should do it for more cities !!! even if Tokyo is a big city I don't really where to go to catch particular type of pokemon !
For this video, I was tracking "fukuoka" and "pokestop" on twitter, because people will tweet what they found all over the city, it helped a lot! I bet searching twitter for realtime tweets containing keywords like "tokyo" and "pokestop" will help you find some good spots. Otherwise I hear Yoyogi and Ueno Parks are great spots!
Thank you very much ! :) but I wanted to mean also that your video was well made, like you tell the name of place and you said what kind of pokemon you found :) great job !
Thanks for the protips, I'll be in Japan next month and may check out the area, I've been curious about Fukuoka for awhile now. Have you found any good Farfetch'd locations? It is exclusive to asian countries and I would love to track one down.
There was a pikachu nest over at a local park where I live. I was able to catch six pikachu before it started to rain :p. Common here are staryu eevee and bellsprout
I'm only level 11 right now.. The most common Pokemon in my area other than Pidgeys and Ratatas seems to be Ponyta, Rhyhorn, Mankey and Abra. I have only seen a Pikachu once and it fled.=( I'm also hoping to one day see or hatch a Dratini.
Wow that is cool. But, I know others will appreciate this video too. I personally don't play Pokemon Go. But hope you were able to take a long relaxing bath when you got home.
Di d you come w hy in japanと翻訳機を使って調べたらWhy have you come to japanとなったんだけどこれこれってビミョーに意味が違っているのかな?
go team mystic. also how about dazaifu and maybe out by fukuoka convention center? those might be another couple of spots, but I dont know. sadly dont live there anymore...
Yeah! I think Dazaifu might be good actually, I actually heard it was, but I didn't head out there for this video since it's technically "Dazaifu City" not Fukuoka City. :)
true true, also the heat this time of year is horrid. best way would be to be in an incubator with aircon and still be able to walk around :P but nice to know when I eventually do return for vacation, that fuku tower is a good spawn place ;)
Wow... so many pokéstops and gyms regardless of where you go! East of my house (in São Paulo, Brazil) there are only 2 pokéstops (no gyms); west is much better, with about 25 pokéstops and 4 gyms. For some odd reason, most stops I've been to are related to graffitti. 5:58 Just out of curiosity... have you considered wearing running shoes instead?
Canal was great! Kouki and I went there two nights ago and caught some stuff...saw my first Dratini but it ran away! My phone died, and on our way out the door an Ekans and Arbok spawned, so Kouki caught those as well. Hah. We're both level 12. I'm at 43 caught, 44 seen. Just opened my game and OMG there is a farfetch'd near by!!!
I've caught a lot. My Pokedex has 75 Pokemon registered, cause I've mostly put a lot of time and effort into my Eevee hunting. Vaporeon was my first Eeveelution as well! He's my favorite of the original Eeveelutions :)
Glaceon is my absolute favorite Eeveelution, as soon as she was a introduced, very first thing I did on that game was power up my Eevee and evolve her to Glaceon. There's already been talk about Niantic adding more Pokemon, so I hope all the Eeveelutions get in there eventually. I don't care about Sylveon, though... The bows are it's flesh and it freaks me out. XD
I am finally on level 4 and most common Pokemon in my area is Weedle. I had 5 of them. 4 Weedle I transferred and one of them I evolved into Kakuna. Today I caught Drowzee. I also have Golbat with CP 125 and he is my strongest Pokemon. I have about 10 Pokemon. Tomorrow I am planning on going to the city with my cousins and catch as much Pokemon as possible. Maybe get to the point finally where I can choose a team (team mystic woo :D). I only caught 3 Pokemon in my house (2 bird Pokemon and Rattata) and even then I had to use incense :/ I have no Poke stops near me either.
Hakata the gps goes nuts... Make sure you rename your next Eevee. I like sparky because most gyms have water Pokemon. Just shut down app and restart when you do to make sure rename registers.
I've got them all already! I'll probably evolve another Jolteon next though since my first one had crap multipliers and ended up with less than 1000 CP.
Lmao Micaela ! Here in Texas Is so damn hot too 100deg F that's what you see lots of people walking around at nights catching Pokemon but I rather be in Japan doing this ! Have you ever been to a Pokemon center I know there is one in Osaka and an other in Tokyo I wonder what you can catch there ?
I have a grammar question. I'm learning japanese and I always watch your videos with the subtitles on. When you say 都会に来るとポケモンがいっぱいありますね, shouldn't it be います instead? I know Pokemon don't really exist but they are living beings, right? I don't know if it's a typo or there is something I'm missing. I really hope you answer me :) よろしくお願いします
I think you just answered your own question. I don't believe Pokemon are living beings, they're characters in a video game. If you are speaking in the context that they are real and living, you could say "imasu", but to me it sounds a little childish.

This is an interesting video and the first ever I've ever seen that actually lists places. Thank you Micaela!
Thank you for watching!
I'm really glad I found you on RUclips! I'm studying in Fukuoka for a year so this is really helpful hahaha
I may be visiting in November... I haven’t made up my mind yet BUT you should soo do another Pokémon go video given how much Pokémon go has changed!!
Thanks for the great tips. I'm coming to Fukuoka next week, so now I know the right places to go.
Thanks for this great video. The tip for Fukuoka Tower was great. Went there and had a blast. Thank you!
although this.was a pokemon go video, it was such a great tourism promotion XD Ive never wanted to visit Fukuoka more XD
Yesss, I lure them in with a trending topic, but I entice them with those scenic shots.
That weather though. I was there 3 weeks ago and was a gross sweaty mess the whole time.
I love how active on RUclips you've become lately. Keep up the good work cause your videos are great!
really well done video!!
Wow I want to visit Canal City ! ** Thanks for this video~
It's nice at night, when it isn't too crowded! Lots of places to sit down and watch the water fountains, and of course, play Pokemon Go.
Love your hair and makeup in this vid.. such a pretty lip colour!
Oh Micaela do you remember that I'll go to Kyusyu area in this summer? I decided to go to Fukuoka and Nagasaki for three days on September! I'm so excited! I'll stay at...Tenjin hotel, I think. Can't wait what it's like to be in Kyusyu!
Loved the video! I really hope I will be able to travel around Japan more in the future. ^^ Maybe not south at the peak of summer though! *melts*
When it's in Fukuoka-ken, unusual Pokemon also goes out of many Kashiihama and AEON MALL near it!
This looks soooo cool! I've been taking Pokemon GO everywhere I visit but I haven't been that far away from my hometown in a while - wish the game had been out when I visited Japan, Spain, America and Belgium in the span of 2 years...

Ooh, I haven't seen a Tangela yet in Japan!
I have one with a 375 cp ^_^
Thank you so much... I'm stuck in Fukuoka for 3 month training for golf and the weather not permitting. So I guess I'll start Pokemon Go
I live in Sendai City, and the place is filled with pidgey, rattata and weedles lol. 勾当台公園 however is known to have semi-frequent pikachu spawns and is almost always full of lured pokestops :) I'm yet to find other cool places like Fukuoka Tower in Sendai where many types appear sadly ):
I almost cried when you showed the Fukuoka Tower screenshot omg

There is a good place to catch rare Pokemon near the Fukuoka tower called Jigyo Chuo Park!
+kaipad Agent I'll try it!!
Pidgey, Rattata, Voltorb, Magnemite, Weedle are pretty common in my area here in Labuan island, Malaysia.

dazaifu shrine in fukuoka prefecture has a lot pokespots

Im going to fukuoka in a week :) im super excited

sweeeet, going to Fukuoka tomorrow, so just in time!
Yay! Have fun!
Micaela ミカエラ thank you!!
Well in my place except the usual stuff evee's are kinda popular and easy to come
Canal was great! Kouki and I went there two nights ago and caught some stuff...saw my first Dratini but it ran away!
30ºC at night?! Oh boy...
I haven't started playing (yet)
I went to Tenjin and I thought it's not good to get Pokemon. Did you go any area at Fukuoka?
I couldn't have been more wrong.
I couldn't have been more wrong.
I’m almost finished learning hiragana so I’m gonna pratice writing Fukuoka:
ふくおか YAYYYY
I live in a small town not that much here, but I did got some new Pokemon spawning in my home haha 😂
I've caught a lot. My Pokedex has 75 Pokemon registered, cause I've mostly put a lot of time and effort into my Eevee hunting. Vaporeon was my first Eeveelution as well! He's my favorite of the original Eeveelutions :)
Hehe, Vaporeon was my final Eeevelution! My first/fave is Flareon so I made sure to get him first. :)
I found a Magnemite today; or it found me. Absolutely no Pokemons ever appear around my home. I turn the app on to check regularly.

Caught 82 pokemon types so far. And was so happy to catch my first ponyta yesterday!
I can't waaaaait to have a Rapidash! I love Fire Pokemon, they're severely underrated in the first generation.
Yes! And I love horses in general so it's perfect haha
Can understand the feeling of people that live in rural areas 😓 Surrounded by few rattata everyday 😭😭🐀🐀🐀
I got a ghastly and growlith and ryhorn
I want alllll of those!
I was saying that about all of yours lol
I cannot even download the app on my phone.. ugh I sooo want to~~
THIS IS THE BIGGEST TRAGEDY OF THE CENTURY I feel so bad for you
I know right! well I guess I'll just borrow my mom's phone occasionally.. haha~!
