This is perhaps the best rendition of this piece currently on the internet.Jacobs plays with a passion and depth that belies his age.I should think the master himself would rejoice hearing his music played by this young man who obviously has a great love specifically for Bach and organ music in general.Bravo professor..bravo. He will without doubt go down in musical history as one of the great organists of our time.
@@jeffreymason7049 I love them both, but Diane's tempo is a little too fast for my taste, and her registrations can be a bit heavy. Paul has just the right tempo and perfect registration.
Couldn't snag the video, but I've been holding on to the audio of this masterful occasion! Enjoy! 😉 ruclips.net/video/y8G-jN0iQyg/видео.htmlsi=0M9MIaf9enOLjEjQ
This version is a national monument. Kneeling down to Sir Paul, my prayer is: Please keep this unique, `crystal clear` interpretation here for a worldwide audience, as long as you can.
Amazing rendition! And Unlike so many others, timed perfectly. When the 32's and perhaps the resultant 64' kick in then the Trumpet ensemble then the contra bombard is electric! Quite stimulating through a pair of 16" subs drawing 4 ohms.
As A Huge Fan Of Paul Jacobs And Having The My Picture Taken With Him Was Truly A Very Memorable Experience. I Totally Loved 🥰 The Registry He Chose Especially At The End Bravo 👏 Mr Jacobs. Bravo!
Why did the quality video of this have to be taken down? Now we’re only left with this on RUclips and it doesn’t do it justice by any measure… fuck who ever got the good one taken off.
I’m guessing the diocese is trying to erase all record of what used to happen in that building. I’m also guessing that their purchase of the building included all media rights to the Hour of Power, and any official production video from that era is being scrubbed. Any original production material will probably never see the light of day again. Sad, as I see the original as more of an historical record of the original state of the Hazel Wright. They’ve done a great job of restoring it, and I’m glad it’s in capable hands now, but those old recordings have historical value (whether or not you agree with the ministry).
Diese Orgel ist in der Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, Kalifornien. Ich weiss nicht wehr spielt. This organ is in the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California. I have no idea whose playing.
The Incomparable Paul Jacobs. Chairman Of The Organ Department At Juilliard College In New York State In NYC. The Man Is Amazing 🤩 And Super Talented And Such A Sweet Person And Charming Personality. I Was Very Fortunate To Have My Picture Taken With Him When He Came To Utica New York For A Concert. What A Honor Standing There Next To Him!
This is the only evidence of this great performance since I hasten to add only happened once this cathedral switched hands- that’s so wrong - release the original film and recording
The best organist in the world Paul Jacobs a Grammy Artist Organist who touches souls and hearts ! Love you

It is.
I love Paul Jacobs, but Diane Bish's interpretation is perhaps of equal grandeur. Either way, few capture the spirit of Bach as Jacobs does!

There used to be a better one of this exact video but it has since disappeared.

It’s criminal what happened to the original upload from multiple angles!
Yeah, the close ups of his hands and feet, and him making changes to the registration were epic.

Steve... that`s it ! Thank you for this giant comment !

@nhhs55 That is the best way, memorizing, that way you can have more fun, play with more passion, and savor your work more.
I agree!
magical mistery of music
Here in July 24 👏🏻👏🏻🍻🥃

Paul Jacobs is playing. NO MUSIC.'
He memorizes almost everything.
He has memorized all of Bach's music for the organ.
The lovely Paul Jacobs
Ich glaube der Organist ist Paul Jacobs.
I believe the organist is Paul Jacobs.
He IS Paul Jacobs
ruclips.net/video/1zjV1DT_fFA/видео.html
He is.
The same video is available - with better quality - on RUclips, "Crystal Cathedral - Pipe Organ Solo - Paul Jacobs".
That video title is: "J. S. Bach Sinfonia from Cantata No 29"
@steelersfanhawaii and if you are accompanying a choir or playing together with a symphony, you can watch the conductor better by memorizing.

Watch on the hour of power for better fidelity....
Audio of that version since gone...

Bring back the original stop stealing that glorious music
And unless I'm mistaken wasn't Hazel needing work and a part of her not playable?? Quite the challenge if so.
I swear there used to be a better quality version of this performance..

Almost as good as the last one I sent you.
Is that weed all around this organ dude , hell yeah I love Jesus so ! :D
Sorry, but this recording is really very bad ! The tone and also the Picture ! NOT NICE TO HEAR AND SEE ! !
What happen to the versión with proper sound?😊
