I honestly have always enjoyed their relationship! In a way, Dib gives Zim a genuine purpose and takes him seriously when no one else would. Like that unaired episode they did, Zim needs Dib to feel complete. Without him, his plans feel mundane and empty.
I feel like fib is actually obsessed with zim and the fact zim knows this makes fib more obsessed and dib gives zim purpose but I feel like zim also gives dib purpose and zim just liked the attention fib gives hi.
Okay, this is amazing. It’s really captures the whole point that Dib is the antagonist of Invader Zim, he even wears evil looking clothing which I never noticed until I saw him like this. It’s brilliant how you made their movements so similar but different. Zim has that “you’re not a threat to me” vibe to him when encountering Dib, and Dib has a kind of sick way of moving that captures his internal struggle to be like his dad. He moves like he’s trying to look smart and intimidating which the latter works when shown here, the word to replace smart is calculated like when Dib grabs the mechanical leg of Zim’s back thing. It shows that he’s planned it all out up until the very end where the snot gets beat out of him. Brilliant work amd you’ve gained a sub for sheer admiration

In that episode Dib goes into studying science like his dad and gives up paranormal investigating. If I remember the premise correctly this causes Zim to lose motivation to conquer the Earth because it's not that much of a challenge for him. The episode ends with Zim and Dib reconciling and continuing their conflict. So yeah they're relationship is complicated but that's arch enemies for ya.

Huh, I just realized that the only people who take Zim and Dib seriously are Zim and Dib themselves. The Tallest and all Irkens think Zim is a failure while all of humanity and Professor Membrane think Dib is a conspiracy nut. Kinda adds another level to their dynamic as the only other person who truly understands them is the one they see as their enemy... Which makes them their only friend. Talk about the Irony. Overall a great video that shows this in full!

This is absolutely amazing, I watched this video a good few weeks ago and I’lol letchu in on a little something.. you 100% got me addicted to Iz, I knew nothing, nada, zero about this show before seeing your amazing work. Since then I’ve spent I don’t even know how much money just to watch the original series- and don’t even get me started on the Netflix movie.. I’ve even got uh- ahem* a few drawings and sketches laying around here and there.... Goodness. I believe that what I’m attempting to get at is that you’re inspiring people with your amazing art style. I‘ve been hooked onto your channel for a very long time due to the errorink stuff (absolutely lovely btw, my favorite song for awhile was I do adore because of you smh) keep inspiring us, we need more people like you ❤️
