      Good luck, hopefully it’s not too rough 🌊 in case the visibility isn’t so great, best time of year for this location is October through Feb with 1 - 2 ‘ waves max and no more than 5mph wind.

    I snorkeled there today after watching this video!! Water wasn't clear though. Did you go in the winter? I see you uploaded on November 2019.

      the best time to go for this area is from Sept thru Feb. the conditions have to be flat or 1 to 2’ waves max, minimal wind (5mph max) in the summer the water is too green and murky.

    Gonna Move to LA next year and am looking forward to diving there. Maybe a stupid question: when you do these shore dives, how do you keep your car key and dry clothes?

    • @OceanEarthGreen
      @OceanEarthGreen  3 года назад +1

      I had a duplicate car key made that doesn't have a chip in it to start my vehicle. I keep it in my wetsuit pocket. Same goes for when I travel and dive. I always just take one key and in the wetsuit pocket. Dry clothes I keep in my vehicle and change into once I'm done for the day or that session. Otherwise I just stay in my wetsuit sorta half off while I'm still at the beach. I adapt what I take to the beach depending where I'm at, parking, transportation etc.

    Rats Beach

    Yo, is it an easy beach entry from when you park with dive gear?

    • @OceanEarthGreen
      @OceanEarthGreen  4 года назад

      There is an easy entry off Rat Beach with parking above and a easy road path down to sandy area. from there can go south along Malaga Cove. Lot's to see. This is easiest entry. all others going south involve hiking down the cliffs and over rocks to tricky entry points on the reefs.

    not afraid of sharks?

    • @OceanEarthGreen
      @OceanEarthGreen  4 года назад

      I respect them and I’m cautious around them and look forward to their encounters. I also know which sharks pose a threat vs harmless ones.
