Basically Rafi Sahab is a classical singer .Kishore kumar is a non- classical singer.
Rafi Sahab is a God- gifted singer.He is unique and unparalleled in the history of Indian cinematic songs.He is trained specially in gazals,Bhajans,Rag sangits e.t.c. His contribution as a singer particularly in Hindi movies is highly impressive. His songs are ever melodious,memorable,unforgettable and obviously heart touching.
On the other hand Kishore kumar is also a legendary figure in Hindi cinema.His achievement in singing style with tone of voice relating to the volume of expression in the varieties is ever considered .He can never be compared about his competency and potentiality with the other great singers.He is very much confident while he sings a songs by his own modulations consisting of any type.
His songs are outstanding and ever lasting at the heart of the Indian people.His songs present us an essence of beauty.

Kishore Kumar is good, some of his songs are really fine to listen. But , there is no other singer of the calibre of Rafi. His range ,versitality, expressions are God-like. From Naushad to Laxmikant Pyarelal he has served them all although the styles of every composer was different. Kishore's songs are good but one dimensional. In a movie where kishore had to sing a classical song, Rafi's voice was used. Again, both are legends.

कुमार अभिनय के क्षेत्र में भी सक्रिय थे। उनकी पहली फिल्म शिकारी (1946) थी, जिसमें उनके भाई अशोक ने मुख्य भूमिका निभाई थी। कुमार ने अपनी पहली मुख्य भूमिका बॉम्बे टॉकीज़ की फ़िल्म आंदोलन (1951) में निभाई। हालाँकि उन्हें अपने भाई की मदद से कुछ अभिनय कार्य मिले, लेकिन उनकी रुचि गायक बनने में अधिक थी। लड़की, चार पैसे और बाप रे बाप जैसी फिल्मों की सफलता के बाद कुमार ने गंभीरता से अभिनय में रुचि विकसित की, जिसके परिणामस्वरूप उन्हें 1955 और 1966 के बीच मुख्य अभिनेता के रूप में सफल फिल्में मिलीं। कुमार ने बिमल रॉय की नौकरी (1954) और हृषिकेश मुखर्जी के निर्देशन में बनी पहली फिल्म मुसाफिर (1957) में अभिनय किया।
एक अभिनेता के रूप में, उनका सर्वश्रेष्ठ समय 1954 और 1968 के बीच था। उन्होंने 28 नामांकनों में से सर्वश्रेष्ठ पुरुष पार्श्वगायक के लिए 8 फ़िल्मफ़ेयर पुरस्कार जीते और उस श्रेणी में सबसे अधिक फ़िल्मफ़ेयर पुरस्कार जीतने और नामांकित करने का रिकॉर्ड बनाया। उन्हें 1985 में मध्य प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा लता मंगेशकर पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया था। 1997 में, मध्य प्रदेश सरकार ने हिंदी सिनेमा में योगदान के लिए "किशोर कुमार पुरस्कार" नामक एक पुरस्कार शुरू किया। 2012 में, उनका अप्रकाशित आखिरी गाना नई दिल्ली में ओसियन के सिनेफैन नीलामी में ₹15.6 लाख में बिका। [24] [25] [26]

Both are legends. There is a point which I see people don't realize that to sing Kishore kumar's song with the similar feeling is much difficult task than Rafi shab song. Even in this reaction the host was able to mimic the feelings of rafi's song but not Kishore kumar's song. His voice is magic. Both singers have life-saving voice. For me, Kishore Kumar has edge when they both sing the similar song because Kishore is Genius who always focuses on perfecting the emotion behind the song.
Kishore Kumar was the best, reason, listen to the same songs sung by both.

Kishore voice is superb to hear but the true badshah of almost perfect playback singing of all genre there is no one greater or come close to Mohammed Rafi sahab, actually i love both singers but the fact is fact,kishore is second best playback singer.

Has a great voice, which covers most types and styles of songs.
Pretty much just as good as Rafi saab.
He mentioned that there were some songs that he couldn't get quite right, for which Rafi saab was drafted in to save the day.
Kishore also has a great catalogue etc.
Great live singer
Due to my age being mid-50s , his genre of songs is more appealing to me, but that is just my preference.

Only one thing I would like to add that from 1969 Rafi was sidelined by Kishore's popularity that he (Rafi) had never regained.
