This whole soundtrack was an absolute game changer back in 2001. All of these great rockstars together. It’s crazy how a few of them have passed on so young.
NOTE: In the movie and on it's soundtrack all the Violin music and the Middle Eastern background sounds were created by the noted East Indian music composer and violinist Mr. L. Shankar. He also wrote and played that very haunting violin music that the pretty Gypsy Woman and Lestat were playing: "On the Beach, aka Lestat's Violin." composed and performed by L. Shankar
@@krystarlicious6980 I have not read the book but from what I have heard they didn't stick to the book which I hate how Hollywood plays when it comes to adapting book to film. I got intensely annoyed by the Jesse character, Bella way before Bella. "Oh vampire lover! Make me your eternal lover, OH!" ugh makes me sick.
I remember listening to THE CROW soundtrack and thinking...wow nothing will EVER rival this. And then.......THE QUEEN OF THE DAMNED soundtrack happened.......
Alright but they all conveniently left out L Shankar who did the violin bits for the movie. The violin awakening Askasha was an important plot to the movie after all.
@@dirknowitzki3891 Definitely would’ve been awesome to hear a mix of the styles. She was an amazing single would’ve been cool to hear a darkness tone to her voice! She was talented enough to do it but unfortunately she passed I believe in the middle of making the movie.
@@dirknowitzki3891 yes 🙌🏼 wish they could do a smash up or something. She really liked that music genre. My favourite artists are Aaliyah and Korn so far 💔 rip Aaliyah, Chester & Wayne

BUT it would’ve damaged his career hard. it would’ve cramped his style for lack of better word. plus trent is a control freak....he wouldn’t have had artists like Chester, Wayne Static, or even Manson involved if trent did this....he would just be a cheesy vampire movie trent reznor show as opposed to the great soundtrack that we received this was a perfect chance for jonathan to branch out and have some fun...plus he was freshly sober around the time of this...so it probably helped him with that as well.....
Holy crap this lineup is literally legendary. My god i never knew, im almost 30 and only seen this movie once. Oh god im a failure for this. And I love you Chester B.
i had the dvd, this was my life... ive watched this so many times word for word, before youtube was a thing... seeing my boys, jonathan, & chester, maybe marilyn were the coolest mofos ever :)
2021 and still enjoying how everyone did these sound tracks for this movie and missing Chester, may his screams cause musical thunder in the heavens. Rock on the pearly gates !!
i remember when korn was still an obscure band for a 12-13kid like myself in the 00s, i hoped and prayed something would be like this on the DVD, i was fvcking lucky to have found this, when i bought the dvd. i emulated jonathan back then so much, its almost cringe worthy to me
At the time the movie came out, I used to play a lot of Vampire: The Masquerade, read a lot of Anne Rice, and listen to all of these artists. I was completely obsessed. Best soundtrack ever, and it's not even close.
It's just unbelievable to see all these great frontmen=singers=performers in one video and hear these wonderful voices in one single movie!!! It's awesome! Really awesome)
It wasn't till a few days after Chesters death that I found out he was on this album. I have loved the wole album since it came out and ver the years had to but it 5 times cause they would break lol!
I would never understand why Davis felt the need to write dumb teen angst lyrics like "Why is everything so fucking hard for me? Man I'm Still So Aggravated at the Soundtrack for this film in the Movie you hear That one version of Redeemer Lestat is singing in the video with those words Jesse talked about but when the Soundtrack came out you don't hear anything About The Admirals Arms in the Song Marilyn Manson is singing and you know they recorded a version of that song in case they wanted to release it

RIP Wayne Static, Chester Bennington and now RIP Anne Rice
Aaliyah too, even though it was a posthumous release, she played Queen Akasha!
Anne Rice hated this fucking movie
Omg
That movie was kinda damned

agree 100% the movie the music i wish we have much more movies and music like this
I THINK STUART TOWNSEND WAS SOOOO CAPTIVATING IN THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!
He was so good in this movie.
Massively
Yes!
Crazy how soft spoken most of these vocalists are when they have some of the gnarliest singing voices.
NOTE: In the movie and on it's soundtrack all the Violin music and the Middle Eastern background sounds were created by the noted East Indian music composer and violinist Mr. L. Shankar. Love It!
Wow 🤩 thank you for posting this! I’ve always been intrigued by those sounds in the soundtrack. I find them quite mesmerizing and alluring 🖤
Ya was pretty badass
this ost full of stars! Korn, Disturbed, Marylin Manson, Chester & etc. Jonathan Davis is awesome!!! It's 2021, i still love this masterpiece!
RIP Aaliyah and Chester Bennington
Don't forget Wayne
I was going to say Wayne Static died as well. Such talented musicians.
When the soundtrack is better than the movie!!!!
I agree
I am obsessed with the whole soundtrack. I wish maybe a redo on this movie but keeping the same music
Yep the movie sucked but thank God for the soundtrack.
what didnt you like about it?

In total agreement. I feel the same.
I don't know the crow has a very special plqce in my heart but still the queen of the damned has just great music and great musicians involved as well
Honestly, I kinda prefer this soundtrack over the crow, mostly because I love nu metal/alt metal and shit.
I also love the Underworld soundtrack
Love the soundtrack to Bram stoker's Dracula too and conan the barbarian
Alright but they all conveniently left out L Shankar who did the violin bits for the movie. The violin awakening Askasha was an important plot to the movie after all.
No wonder he was fired from Lord of the Rings . His looks are all he has going for him.
All this does is show bad they and the movie are
Damn, Wayne and Chester aren't around anymore.
I was thinking the same!
Crazy
Or Aaliyah
R.i.p wayne static
R.i.p chester bennington
And Aaliyah
Rip Chester
Crazy_guy 545 I forgot I had this video 😢
and Wayne Static & Aaliyah :c
Lol He was not in the true original soundtrack
Chester Bennington has an amazing voice, I swear chills!
Chester Bennington is just plain awesome!!!

For deaf people.

Best damn sound track in all of the cinematic world.
Holy crap this lineup is literally legendary. My god i never knew, im almost 30 and only seen this movie once. Oh god im a failure for this. And I love you Chester B.
The concert scene was one of the most fun n coolest things I'd ever seen a movie do haha so much fun for the extras, actors n actresses, n crew.
So this is where most of the budget went.
Money well spent. RIP Chester and Wayne.
I LOVE THE MOVIE LESTAT IS SO HOT
Damn I almost forgot marilyn was in on this. Rip Aaliyah and chester
Davis channelled his passion for the afterlife and death into his work here too. Its so cool
Marilyn wasn't bad looking at all
Arguably the best soundtrack ever made. Still listen to the whole original album I bought back in the day

Jonathen can do no wrong. All of his songs give me goose bumps.
i feel like aaliyah would’ve killed it on this soundtrack but i think around that time she died before the movie officially came out. so sad..
Yes 💔
I can't explain how obsessed I am with this movie. Its just a part of my life at this point. 🖤
This is my favorite soundtrack of all time...only recently I found out Jonathan Davis wrote and performed the songs
Wayne Static, the hair here is down, RIP

Chester and Aaliyah 😔 👼🏻 👼🏾
What I would do for those clean demo versions of the song 🔥🔥🔥
