- Hi friends! Welcome back to my channel! I am so glad you are here. In today’s video I am going to show you how I achieve a defined twist out on 4c hair. I used the Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie along with the Mielle Moisturizing Styling Gel. Twist outs are my favorite go to style for my natural hair. is the curl enhancing smoothie for 4 type hair !?!?!?!??!
It worked on mine but I’ve heard some people didn’t like it...I would say try it and see if you like it. My hair came out so defined with it!
I think what needs to be understood about this product is that it’s not a styling/holding product-it’s a moisturizer, almost like a very heavy leave-in conditioner. So whether or not it ‘works’ depends largely on how you’re using it and what the expectations are. Most women with type are looking hold and you’re not going to get that with this product alone you’ll need to use it with a holding product-gel or mousse/setting lotion. Women with looser or naturally smoother textures may not need as much hold as someone with type 4. So they might use this product on its own. All products ‘work’, they’re just not always understood and end up being misused because it’s being forced into our individual routines.
