Ours didn't....prior owner installed pump/tank. Input a relay underhood inline and ran a switch inside. Also the switch power is off ignition. So you have to have the truck key on also. The latter can be kind of a pain if you want to use it with the truck off sometimes...but extra security
I wire my pump to a trailer plug so that it gets power when I turn on the parking lights. That way I can pull it in and out if I want or truck to truck. Most people can’t figure out that you have to turn on the parking lights so it’s somewhat secure as well especially if you tuck the plug outta sight when stored.
This might be a tad late of a comment. But I am putting a 50 gallon tank and pump on mine. I was wanting to have it hard wired to the truck battery and then ran to a factory switch for rear cargo lights I never use. But reading your comment made the light bulb turn on in my head. And thought that’s an even better idea then what I had in mind.
I've got just a 50 gal tank on blocks so I can easily take it on and off the truck with the forklift when I don't need it. I have the same gpi 15gal/min pump and it seems to pump pretty quick when I fill up the Cat 305E and Tak TL140. I wired it to a trailer light plug in that I plug into my trailer lights and then turn on the parking lights when I want to fill up the machines since I take it on and off the truck so much. I honestly didn't think this was gonna be a very interesting video when I clicked on it but it was the best video I watched all day. Safe travels!
Would really like to hear a review on that jump pack. Thought about just throwing one in my truck for the oh shit moments. And you'll love those strobes. Clean, bright, and many fun patterns lol
Yea those fuses need to be on there I had company truck fuel tank was installed with out the fuse. Made for interesting experience end up wires on fire have rip the wires off battery leads for the transfer tank off.
Really nice transfer tank ! Pretty cool with the toolbox 👍🏻 I wish I could get the same stuff here... but unfortunately they only sell Baguette and vine here...🥖 🤷🏻♂️
That's funny about the rats chewing on your battery insulation. I live in the suburbs and the Rats also chewed on my battery insulation also on my 2014 Limited and made a nest out of the insulation. I am going to try putting mothballs under the hood soon to try and repel them
Thanks for reply the other day, I think your videos are great and I personally can relate to you. I am now retired , but I always watch your videos, because I figure I can always learn something. Keep up the good work Sambro , Tim New Mexico PS your always welcome at my place if you are ever in the Northern New Mexico area . Peace buddy.
FYI on the vehicle crazy dollies, I put a set under the rear of my 06 3500 CCLB Cummins, has a bunch of stuff in the box of the truck. Tried to push the rear of the truck sideways and it bent the casters over. They work great on lighter vehicles but I wrecked 2 of mine under the Dodge..
Fiberglass shovel handle? Can't tell from the quick look on video. If it is, keep it out of the sun. I made the mistake of leaning it on the wall outside and the fiberglass splinters like crazy! Makes it impossible to use without top grain cowhide gloves...and don't touch anything "valuable" after using it with the gloves on! Love the tank, toolbox, pump setup. Have a safe trip!
i like the gpi pumps i always turned the tank around with the box next to the cab because some of the guys flipped the nozzle around splashed fuel on the back window and was rotting out the window seals and the windows would start leaking
I’ve got the 40 gal better build for about a year now and a 15gpm fillrite pump. Overall love the tank no leaks no issues. One recommendation I would put a relay switch inside your truck for the pump so no one can just turn it on if they are tryin to steal. I guess you can lock it but it’s nice to know someone walking by can be a dick and turn on your pump. And sexy setup man looking good.
Also to add from Home Depot or something that have the soft seal pipe tread compound. I run the Teflon and that compound and I’ve never had saturation issues. Just running the tape I’ve always had saturation issues on all of my tanks. And I would also invest in a 3/4 fuel rotating adapter. Helps make your hose last a lot longer since it won’t let it kink and start splitting over time. Just the crap I’ve learned over the past 5 years doing this stuff. Hope it makes life easier. Drive safe buddy
Same pump we got. It's about a 2013 year pump....still works perfectly. I added the filter kit since prior owner didn't have one on it. Used GPI filter head and a Donaldson filter. I added a switch inside the cab and relay underhood for extra security.
Great timing on this video I just picked up an old kobelco 903 excavator to do work on my land plus I have my john Deere 110 tlb that I do side work with I think Ill need a setup like this next summer. How would you recommend mounting on flatbed like your 08 do they just bolt down??
You probably already did this but make sure your fire extinguisher is actually mounted. A hotshot buddy of mine got a ticket two weeks ago for not having his securely mounted. With your profession, I am not sure that it is required for you but you mentioned that you were doing a CDL load, so better safe than sorry.
I watched this video a few days ago. I went to Tractor supply abs they have the same set up you got and of course it has rust in it 🙄 when u set up the 10 micron filter did you have any worries about doing damage to the injectors on any of your machines? I was going to do a 2 micron filter for a few tanks load and then maybe go to a 10 micron? I asked my local dealer and he said he would not risk it. What are your thoughts? I thought of going with a transfer flow brand named 6yr warranty and made is USA instead of Mexico. You would think that better built would of shipped those with some kind of coating before shipping. By the way I also have a diamond C brand trailer 32ft manual landing gear and mega ramps.
For on the road i tied in a drain valve from tank into fuel filler so it gravity feeds while driving and works great. Also would like to know how that jump pack works out, i picked one from homedepo on sale about a year ago for the same reason, airbags and emergency tire inflate. Everything works great except air compressor. The hose connection broke at compressor so replaced under warrenty then broke again probably third time using. Ended up just getting a dedicated 12v compressor.
Just a warning on those dollies, a buddy of mine has a 12v swapped crew cab first gen. He dropped his truck down on those and it flattened them like pancakes. Might be worth throwing some gussets on them.
Two questions 1 could you have hooked up the auxiliary tank to your main tank with a transfer switch? 2 is the fuel tank and toolbox made in the USA? More than likely they are made in China.
I can answer the first question but not the second. You can plumb in a transfer tank to your fill neck and have it gravity feed into your tank. A lot of people will use a solenoid valve with a switch inside their cab to turn it on and off.
What would happen if you install this combo tank but connected straight to the truck fuel supply? I have a 111g combo tank but it's an transfer tank like this, not knowing about an Aux tank.
Looks like you know a bit about the dodge diesel's. I have a question, my dad passed away 9 years ago and my stepmom is letting me have his 97 5.9 diesel. Now my stepbrother said the over drive don't work and that he dropped the pain on the trans. and there was a ring laying inside it. It does still run and drive. I live in a different state now and I need to get it here where I live and its a 10 hour drive. Do you think it will make it here? My stepbrother said when he drives it that when he has to stop he has to put it in neutral so it want die. Is that because of the overdrive or something else?
@@andreranch6161 from everyone I've talked to said it wouldn't hurt to drive that far. It be just like driving a car back in the day before there ever was overdrive. But I've decided to just put it on a trailer. Thanks

Hopefully you'll have a pump switch in the cab, if not you can kiss that diesel fuel good-bye when the truck is unattended.

Score👍 always good to prep for a long road trip, plus you have cool stuff on board forever 👍👍👍🇺🇸

They make tape for fuel actually, and Better built is made right here in Pensacola, Florida the absolute best for the money boxes and tanks..
Tractor supply is cool. They matched the online price of the fill rite 20 gpm pump.

Got a wave out of V-Belt. 👍🏻🤚🏻. Oh yeah!!
Make sure you lock down your fire extinguisher. If it is loose that can be a fine.
The Harbor freight jump pack works great we had one over 8 years an the battery quite charging so bought a new one as cheap as a replacement battery.
That is a sweet setup for sure👌🏼
I'd have the nozzle locked inside a box. Just a small cheap box, cut to allow hose in, even a plastic toolbox. Prevent tampering if it's not visible.
If you use the metal part of the pliers towards where your hands are, its a lot easier to crimp with. FWIW.
Maybe it was the camera but I couldn’t see your trailer in those big mirrors??? Lol

Should hook the pump power to a relay that turns on with key on power so your diesel doesn't grow legs and walk away.
