The animation for this video and Arcane in general is just so good... The way they animated Vi's punching lesson here and Powder trying to mimic it badly is so good, the way she just throws her arms while Vi is using his whole body to throw in her punches is so good. So much detail. I'm still amazed by how good Arcane is.
Look at who Vi is teaching to fight. The blonde and the one right-most end up working for Silco and against Vander and his family. The other 3 strangers, the one with a mean look and the one with the black tattoo/birth mark, and the one on the wall, I think I've seen them before but can't exactly place them. I think they also turned out to work against Vi. Such a heart-breaking detail.

That's one thing I loved about Arcane in general, everybody moved like they knew how to fight with their fight style, brawlers fought much more scrappy than those with formal training, gunslingers and marksmen were more calculated in their moves, the weapons very obviously had mass to them, and you could see the fighter's thought processes and what they were feeling as they fought, or as I like to call it all of that combined, their unique combat language.

I love the fact that Arcane is all about everyone's personal war, losses, betrayals, stories. There is no good nor completely bad side. Everyone lives with his own contradictions. This song is perfect for this story and for this steam punk environment.

Actually there is a truly bad side, a TRULY evil character. You, we, just can't accept it.... Jinx, she literally kills people for fun. Oh sure she is "doing it for her dad," but that is a thinly veiled excuse to do what she LOVES. Go back and look at her face as she recalls the Enforcers she lured into their fiery deaths.
The visuals, the amazing performances, Jinx and Vi's lore, not to mention JID and Imagine dragons just casually becoming part of runeterra. Feeling a strong 10/10

This slaps so much harder after having watched the first act of Arcane. Edit: After having finished the entire first season, I've been able to observe how the show and this music video make each other better. Many of the images shown in this video reveal more about the story. We see how the firelights cherished by Powder in her youth became a weapon developed by Jinx and the namesake of Ekko's Firelights. In the show, we only get to see Vi eating at Jericho's shop after her release from Stillwater Prison, but we can see her and the rest of her adopted family eating together in their youth in this video. In the show, we only see the young Ekko as a friend of Powder's adopted family, but the portrayal of Powder and Ekko in this music video shines a brighter light on what they meant to each other in their childhood, making the meaning of their fight in Act III much deeper. This is a great example of how the art of the 21st century often manifests itself in multiple genres simultaneously, all of which build upon each other.
Ngl Jinx is based on Harley Quinn but judging by her lore in Arcane, she resembles the Joker much more because Harley is just a henchwoman and Joker is the one pulling the strings. So in conclusion, Jinx is the JOKER of League.

@@mike7546 @Mike tbf most of the love goes into contractors. Everyone take note that the animation is made by studio fortiche who has worked with Riot for many years. And they've worked with dozens of musicians at this point, if not hundreds. They've been making incredible orchestral pieces since nearly the beginning. If you can find it the making of the freljord event in 2013 is a good watch.
I love that Riot and Fortiche didn't recycle everything from the actual series in making this music video (except for the Krug scene, but it was changed in Arcane). I mean, they really gave effort in creating separate animations just for this
I think the part where the music starts and we see Vi hugging jinx is also from the series, its prob the only unedited thing they added that was also in the series.
The moment where powder shoots her finger gun and it flicks to jinx is so sick. The attention to detail even just for a music video shows the talent of these writers and animators. The passion they show to the world and these characters is the exact reason the show is a masterpiece.

They have essentially unlimited lore already existing, so only adaptation is required and as to the animation, Riot employs very experienced animators and has a clear outline for their animation style and unlimited budget

I think Powder after the traumatizing events her mind just created a second personality, the Jinxed alter ego, that is fighting to take over thats why powder has conflicted feelings/seeing things, Silco in the last chapters of arcane will give her the purple venom and then the Jinx will take over for good, being completely insane like in the game with Pink eyes instead of blue

When I clicked on this video I really thought that they were just going to take clips and scenes from the series, but they actually made an animation exclusively for this music video. Insanely good!
It just goes to show their commitment and how much they actually care about these things rather than it all being about the money like other larger companies have taken to.
I love how when Vi is training everyone is watching because they think she’s so cool, then when it’s Powders turn Ekko is the only one watching. Like everyone else got bored and Ekko and Powder are closer to each other than everyone else in the group.
Love the small little detail between 1:53-1:54 of Jinx’s older self flashing in a split second. Just goes to show how the anger she holds inside and her exposure to constant violence at a young age makes her into the person she is now.
Arcane is gonna leave an empty space in my heart when it's over, i've always been obsessed with the universe riot created and seeing it come to life in the series is something wonderful it took champs lore even deeper and made us emotionally attached to them. Well done riot, well done fortiche and everyone contributed in this masterpiece

They made Jinx a very complex character in this series. That "dinner" scene was just beautiful. At first i thought Silco only used Jinx to further his agenda, but in the end turned out he really did loves her as his own daughter. This is a dilemma for her because she gotta chose betwen Vi or Silco whose both of them cared so deeply with Powder/Jinx.
@@Shangalarx Honesty I just think it's just Powder honoring Silco's last wish. That her turning into Jinx made her perfect, and that she shouldn't try to be the person she was before. Everyone changes, Ekko even said that.
When you feel sympathetic towards the villain, you know the writers are good. In Act 3 i was actually rooting for Silco. They made him human dan 3 dimensional character instead of soulless evil.
Is not as simple as X made Jinx. It was a mix. Zaun's life style made Jinx, the death of her parents at early age made Jinx, Piltovers oppression and corruption made Jinx, Powder accidently killing her friends made Jinx, Vi abandoning her made Jinx, Silco's education made her Jinx, Singed experiment just made all the former even worst, and she struggle to think straight even more than she did before. Jinx was a product of many ingredients that happened to shape Powder into a chaotic, unpredictable and mentally unstable character.
This is just PERFECTION. The storytelling and everything about this is just perfect. And the fact that Imagine Dragons is part of the world makes even more cooler.
My expectations for this show were so low but for anyone who has not seen it, and I have never played league of legends either, it is absolutely incredible. Something not enough people are talking about is how insane the soundtrack was too!! If you have not watched Arcane yet, PLEASE do so! You will not regret it!
I started watching Arcane the other day, and I’m blown away!! I’ve never even played the game, but the show is one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. It’s phenomenal! The animation, story line, voice acting. It’s all amazing!
I seriously can't believe i am experiencing this very moment, back around 2016 we always ask for a league movie as a half-joke but now we get something even better, a series that has 8 episodes + an imagine dragons new collab.

I can't confirm this.... But I can confirm that they didn't leave any rocks unturned when it came to detailing. I think that's really what makes arcane hit harder... Not just the story, but there's no moment for you to be like "Oh, look the animators missed that haha", every moment is filled with details that keep you drawn in. When I watched Arcane the first time I thought the deaths at the end of act 1 we're going to be negated... Like haha, yeah okay, they wouldn't let that happen in a show, they just lost some of the main characters. But Jesus Christ... When I realized they was serious, and they wasn't coming back... The tone hit hard, and I realized what I was seeing was how the story was really going to unfold.
I am addicted to this soundtrack. Its just so catchy, and arcane is a masterpiece. From character design, animation quality, story, deep lore, emotions, voice actors, soundtracks, everything, its just amazing. I dont even play LOL anymore, but I love the series so much. Well done Riot.
For the VAs, as a native French speaker, I watched it in french, and... it was incredible. They really went for the best voice actors they could find and their performance were perfect. I'm really glad for this because oftenly, French versions are... terrible. but that was not the case of arcane. Though, I'll watch it in English, I'm curious about the VAs ! And hello Keqing lover.

Can we just appreciate the animation during Jid's verse and how after that everything becomes chaos and you see young & adult Jinx singing to the lyrics. If League ever died as a game, they should just have a music career as a company
Mr7Reality Riot doesn't make this, it pays a studio to do so. Here it's Fortiche, a french company. They also made Warriors and Get Jinxed for Riot back in the days
the subtle details in the animation during the ENTIRE SHOW is blowing my mind. eye movements, shaky legs, jitters, gasps, everything is there in more attention to detail than a real life actor would do it lol, it's crazy.
I started watching Arcane without any expectations and ended up simply amazed at what I saw, this amazing series, I strongly recommend it to those who haven't seen it.

I can't stop watching the part with Vi throwing some punches in the alley with everyone looking. Her punches are so fast and sharp, showing that she's really good and trained a lot, especially when you see Powder and Ekko trying to do the same. This detail is so incredible for me, amazing production by the team!
bruh i thought i was the only one as a boxer i was hoping they show how they made those fluid animations. like who did they motion capture or if they even did. her form is so on point.
I love how the whole MV does not spoil anything for the series and actually made use of the bar scene as its setting as if delving on what Powder's thoughts during that time in the series. And I personally think it goes beyond that by giving us a glimpse of their history before the events in the series. Watching the first 3 eps i cant help but feel like i dont deserve such quality 😂 the writing, the animation, the acting and etc? superb. And upon seeing this, I'm feeling it all again. What a masterpiece regardless if you're a LoL fan or not.
It really is a superb series. Love it, still not gonna play LOL... but the animation style, the facial animation, compositioning, music, sound, writing... just amazing. This series really surprised me.

And they've worked with dozens of musicians at this point, if not hundreds. They've been making incredible orchestral pieces since nearly the beginning. If you can find it the making of the freljord event in 2013 is a good watch.

Sadly Arcane took 6 years to create. So making it into a series won't be possible without comprimising on the quality..

I think Powder after the traumatizing events her mind just created a second personality, the Jinxed alter ego, that is fighting to take over thats why powder has conflicted feelings/seeing things, Silco in the last chapters of arcane will give her the purple venom and then the Jinx will take over for good, being completely insane like in the game with Pink eyes instead of blue

I love how when Vi is training everyone is watching because they think she’s so cool, then when it’s Powders turn Ekko is the only one watching. Like everyone else got bored and Ekko and Powder are closer to each other than everyone else in the group.
Love the small little detail between 1:53-1:54 of Jinx’s older self flashing in a split second. Just goes to show how the anger she holds inside and her exposure to constant violence at a young age makes her into the person she is now.

They made Jinx a very complex character in this series. That "dinner" scene was just beautiful. At first i thought Silco only used Jinx to further his agenda, but in the end turned out he really did loves her as his own daughter. This is a dilemma for her because she gotta chose betwen Vi or Silco whose both of them cared so deeply with Powder/Jinx.
Also the Silco scene with the Vander's statue. He realized that his "brother" were right after all.
Vi want her to be Powder again, Silco want her to stay as Jinx.
When Powder killed Silco, Jinx kills Powder.

When you feel sympathetic towards the villain, you know the writers are good. In Act 3 i was actually rooting for Silco. They made him human dan 3 dimensional character instead of soulless evil.
Is not as simple as X made Jinx. It was a mix. Zaun's life style made Jinx, the death of her parents at early age made Jinx, Piltovers oppression and corruption made Jinx, Powder accidently killing her friends made Jinx, Vi abandoning her made Jinx, Silco's education made her Jinx, Singed experiment just made all the former even worst, and she struggle to think straight even more than she did before. Jinx was a product of many ingredients that happened to shape Powder into a chaotic, unpredictable and mentally unstable character.

I can't confirm this.... But I can confirm that they didn't leave any rocks unturned when it came to detailing. I think that's really what makes arcane hit harder... Not just the story, but there's no moment for you to be like "Oh, look the animators missed that haha", every moment is filled with details that keep you drawn in.
When I watched Arcane the first time I thought the deaths at the end of act 1 we're going to be negated... Like haha, yeah okay, they wouldn't let that happen in a show, they just lost some of the main characters. But Jesus Christ... When I realized they was serious, and they wasn't coming back... The tone hit hard, and I realized what I was seeing was how the story was really going to unfold.

For the VAs, as a native French speaker, I watched it in french, and... it was incredible. They really went for the best voice actors they could find and their performance were perfect. I'm really glad for this because oftenly, French versions are... terrible. but that was not the case of arcane. Though, I'll watch it in English, I'm curious about the VAs !

I can't stop watching the part with Vi throwing some punches in the alley with everyone looking. Her punches are so fast and sharp, showing that she's really good and trained a lot, especially when you see Powder and Ekko trying to do the same. This detail is so incredible for me, amazing production by the team!

I love how the whole MV does not spoil anything for the series and actually made use of the bar scene as its setting as if delving on what Powder's thoughts during that time in the series. And I personally think it goes beyond that by giving us a glimpse of their history before the events in the series.
Watching the first 3 eps i cant help but feel like i dont deserve such quality 😂 the writing, the animation, the acting and etc? superb. And upon seeing this, I'm feeling it all again. What a masterpiece regardless if you're a LoL fan or not.

It really is a superb series. Love it, still not gonna play LOL... but the animation style, the facial animation, compositioning, music, sound, writing... just amazing. This series really surprised me.
as I don't like LoL, I didn't expect anything from this series. But it was surprising, I don't like LoL but this series is awesome.
