I was one of the lucky ones that you sent a pair to, and let me tell you, favorite pair of skis by far. You really feel the weight difference with the Speedmax, and I find my pair to give back good energy.
I've raced several different brands of skis over the years(40) (Fischer, Atomic, Kneissl, Rossignol, and Madshus) and Fischer skis seemed to give me my best results MOST of the time. Some many variables for selecting the best performance.
If you are looking for seconds in race then replacement might make a sense. If plan is just enjoy good weather and tracks that 80’s ski might do the thing equally well
Season 2! The hollow carbon cap Germinas from the mid 90’s seem like about the best example of where ultralight doesn’t always mean great… what were those, like 800g a pair?

Yes... I need this nerdy file. Thanks for the backstory; quite interesting.
Love these Nerd Files. Can't wait to try the Heliums this season!
Picked up my Hee Hee Heliums yesterday. That's good. While it was raining. That's bad.

My Dad has those exact 80s Fischer skis in skate 😂.
Good stuff. Sounds like I should replace my 2006 Carbonlite classic skis sooner than later!

Bit of a Fisch story...
