ok so on the original paper the period was scraped off, the name was not perfectly aligned, and there was a gap on both sides of the name because the new name was shorter than the old one. he just printed a new page with the correction done on the computer.

Hey guys, may I ask is the replacement paper (new letter) is need to be a newly printed paper(hot ink) when you going to iron on the original paper?
Because I’ve try to iron a aged-printed paper to the iron gal paper. the letter show on the original paper is blur and not enough ink.

try it on a different paper first, so you know how the minor damage looks like.. it just makes the paper more transparnet, but if you're careful, it wont be major..
also from my experience it works better on a paper printed with liquid ink than laser powder ink, but your experinece may differ
