Relevance of Gandhian Ideology: Swaraj, Sarvodaya & Satyagrah | Shashank Tyagi | PSIR: UPSC CSE

Gandhi's ideologies are relevant in the modern age, as they were a century ago. Gandhi's approach and philosophy are thus universal and eternal in nature. Backed by the idea of Universal Love and Non-violence to its core, the ideology continues to guide the path to the mankind. May it be climate related issues, social issues, or any political issue, Gandhi's ideology and philosophy has a way out.
The ideas of Swaraj, Sarvodaya and Satyagrah, are the central pillars of Gandhian Philosophy and ideology. They are in-fact the practical means for the application of Gandhi's ideas in the real world.
In this video Mr. Shashank Tyagi (Faculty for PSIR, Edukemy) explains the Gandhian Philosophy and Political Ideas and sheds light on the relevance of these ideas in modern times.
The lecture is useful for students of Political Science and International Relations Optional for UPSC Mains in particular, and all UPSC CSE aspirants in general. Gandhian Philosophy and Ideologies are also central to the political system in India, and thus is an important part of the UPSC CSE syllabus. The lecture will also add value for writing better Essays in UPSC Mains.
