As a guy who likes playing Lucas myself, I've longed to see the character played at the highest level. Going to have to study some nitox play for sure.
Anybody else find how the announcers talked about Nitox as though he wasn’t human..? Combined with that and the constant riding of Luugi through this set I wonder if it wasn’t only nationalism that made this a tough watch at points 🤔 8:15
You mean how they didn't call him "him" but rather "they?" It's probably because he didn't post pronouns, look at the subtitles. Luugi has pronouns and Nitox doesn't.
Amazing Nitox!! That last game wow. That rapid double forward air was so great. I've never seen a Lucas able to do that in a tournament. I know Nitox wasn't trying to be flashy, but what a cool way to win. I love when the person who taunts loses lol. I know Luugi probably did it for his home crowd, but still a taunt is a taunt lol. Unless the rules are different in Europe and it's ok to do that.
@@RedFoxCloud I guess it was unintentional but the Luigi (not that I feel bad for a teabagger losing a set lmao) kinda screwed over himself with that one since the fireball cancelled Lucas' Forward Air animation giving him enough time to dish out an aerial since a lot of Lucas' aerials actually come out decently fast.
I have no idea who these commentators were rooting for. Absolutely no clue. Unrelated.... "Nitox coming back from the brink" he had taken 13% on his second stock, I wouldn't really call that the brink.
I'm new to smash, can someone explain why Luigi's grab isn't going through shields, and is sometimes simply hitting Lucas instead of grabbing him? 9:14 particularly I don't understand how that doesn't grab but instead knocks back Lucas?
I think there's a certain range where the plunger is a grab, and then once the string detaches from the vacuum it becomes a projectile. That's why luigis will spam it at ledge, because the falling plunger projectile can interrupt your recovery.
I love the way Luugi plays luigi, I don’t know if it’s just his personality or it’s actually intentional but playing calm and spaced against luigi is key to beating him, so getting opponents tilted by taunting and stuff is low key optimal
I played warm up games with Elegant at LTC. I played Lucas and got absolutely clobbered. Imagine this, but the Luigi gets a kill off every hit and the Lucas only touches him like twice per game.
@@live2die694 that was the joke. he said imagine this but then said the complete opposite of what this was lol. Even referred to how he’d hit him maybe twice the whole game
Bros not toxic hes literally just having fun. His T-bags are nothing personal, He does it for literally everyone he plays as. Hes a good sport and not a sore loser.
Dont' really care if he's teabagging for "fun" and means no disrespect, it's a move internationally known for being disrespectful and tilting. I mean its fun if your with your friends, but in a tournament? Really? Bah. grow up, show some decency
They’re probably friends irl and are trying to not take the tournament too seriously. At the end of the day, tournaments are about trying to play your best and have fun while doing so.
commentators on Luigi's NUTS ... meanwhile Lucas is showing the craziest movement ive seen. Lucas mains know how wild this gameplay is
I swear they talked about Nitox once that entire set lmao.
The amount of wave bounces and b-reverses are crazy, dont get me started on his djcz's

Teabagging is something humanity has agreed on being just a dikhead move
Luugi actually always tbags/taunts even if he's losing. He's not doing it to assert dominance or wtv he's just doing it for fun and to feel himself
Last set was dominant. Luugi titled after he lost his jump 1st stock and never recovered.
Let's go Nitox! One of my favorite players to watch.❤
Lets go Nitox
God bro I play luigi but him teabagging AND losing just makes us all look so bad bro

I think they refer to the brink as being reverse 3-0, that puts a lot of preasure into the player, the idea of losing the set after winning two games
luugi will never feel the touch of a woman
