Is this amp as open as the MK ultra amp? Both seem epic for 30W of tube power! This does seem to compress a bit more! Awesome playing and thanks for the effort.
Plenty of headroom, but this is more ‘Plexi’ inspired I think. A Orange/Mashall hybrid maybe.. I prefer the OR30 because I generally play more overdriven guitar. Plus it has an FX loop unlike the MK Ultra. Thanks for watching 👍
@@DannyBeardsley Crazy isn't it? We'd spent the night in the Peaks for our wedding anniversary and I saw you and it sparked my youtube memory. I said to my wife that some guitarists' playing sticks in your head and can't be forgotten! I didn't bother you because you were with your family and thought that would be creepy 😂. Anyway, keep up the killer playing man and blessed be the power of youtube!
Absolutely mad! Congratulations on the wedding anniversary. I hope you had a good day together. Lovely place to celebrate. Thanks very much, that’s made my day hearing that. Very kind. Just for the record, you should have come said hi, always great to meet other guitar players. 👊
I have this amp, love it. Totally has reshaped my thinking on multi channel amps being necessary. They’re nice but I love the simplicity of this amp. Really sounds great just generally in the 10-2 o’clock areas on the eq. It just gets you playing with a great tone immediately instead of turning dials endlessly.
I have to agree. I’m enjoying keeping things simple. I’m experimenting with pedals as well atm, BUT I’m finding that I prefer the amp on its own. The challenging part for me is adjusting my guitar volume and pickups for material that I originally used channel switching. Thanks for watching 👍👍👍
Thanks for watching. Glad you like the tones and you appreciate the sheer amount of guitars being used. 🤣 So many videos to edit together. It’s worth showing how well the amp behaves with different guitars. Thanks again. 👍
@@DannyBeardsley well it was a genuine appreciation of hearing something different! The style really grabs me because it has the melodic freedom of modern prog but the slippery yet juicy cheekiness of rock licks. Which plugs the gaps of both styles... it doesn't seem like it's possible on paper, but somehow you pull it off. And for that I salute you!
@@alphashortreelsThanks very much, dude! 🙏 It might be because of my two separate projects somehow morphing into one 😂 The Parallax Method and my solo project. (Danny Beardsley) Have you tried this amp btw?
@@DannyBeardsley Unfortunately not, I used to get my hands on different gear but now I'm sort of stuck on a single rig. I use an Orange Dual Terror and use a TC Spark -> Friedman BE-OD Deluxe -> Zoom MS-50g with an "Exciter" patch. It sounds quite similar to the OR30 with that FX chain, without it the terror is AC/DC levels of gain only with lots of mids/upper-mids. The Exciter is the magic in that chain though - only discovered the effect after watching a video about getting a Nuno Bettencourt tone... it's the key!

FANTASTIC! Love this SO MUCH! Really need to make more time to check out your vids!
Thanks, mate. Glad you like the video. 👍
You’re living life….that’s a lot more important, my friend 🙏
Say... you didn't happen to be in Bakewell today? If not, there's a doppelganger imposter you should be worried about... 😂
🤣🤣 Well ain’t it a small world! Yes that was me in Bakewell. What a beautiful place.
A lovely family day out 👍 I hope you had a good day too.

Oof - tones man! It's good to hear so many guitar types used to show how they come through too. Don't see that a lot on demos these days.

No worries man, helps the algorithm dinnit. And feedback is important (ah the amp puns).
@georgekaplin3490 very good 👍🤣
Some really nice playing through a great sounding amp. You have a fantastically unique style... sort of bridges classic rock and modern prog. Love it.
You’re very kind. Thanks for watching.
I think you’ve just paid me the ultimate compliment. Thanks very much for that, you’ve made my day 🙏

Ah, I see you're Nottingham based! I frequent the city each week as a semi-local :)
Damn that sounds good, great pickin, too
Thanks very much 🙏🙏🙏
