    He is ranked by knowledgeable baseball writer bill James as one of the top 50 center fielders of all time. I can’t remember the exact ranking but it’s 46 or 48 I think.
    He was a very good player, fast as hell

    Yes, he did get married and stayed married until September 24, 1951, when she passed. Anna Maria Lowry. He was 99 when he passed. Hopefully this is a help
