PBA needs more of this format... This was a blast.
Would have been so much better if this was televised.
There is not enough interest, thus the TV ratings would be a loser for the network. The only reason the PBA and the PWBA are on national TV for some tournaments is that they are PAYING Fox and CBS to do this, just like corn hole, pickleball and other two bit sports.
Please bring this format to the TV shows!
It was an amazing tournament. I watched all of the matchplay and the finals on bowltv, and yes, it should've been on regular tv. So many legends and pwba stars, and the pba stars together. A rare treat. But I guess people would rather watch the Kardashians talk on their phones.
Really liked this but wish it was on tv and had interviews with the winners atleast. Congratulations Trio Champs 🏆
If they want to bring Bowling back they need to put it back on Antenna TV 📺, on Saturday or Sunday afternoon Especially starting in January and February when there’s no Football 🏈
The PBA Legends event was cool but *THIS* is how you should do it, and on an actual full PBA broadcast.
When this started I thought Frankie was up against Hess and thought man tough first match Hess has been real good all year.So when I figured out they were on the same team I was like wow that is a good team they could win this.

I liked this format. But everyone understand it takes a lot of money to get these events on TV. If the sponsors don't show up it can't happen. I think they should advertise thees events a little more than just on the website and a commercial here and there. I really would like to see them team up with the PGA for one golf and bowl event

This was great format but it moved soooooo slowly. Why can't one bowler go ahead and bowl while the other lane is waiting to shoot a spare. Also, think teams should alternate lanes after five or six frames. Finals should be two games on alternating lanes to take out any lane advantage. I enjoyed watching the tournament but didn't appreciate its sloth-like pace.

Geesh, folks, take spare balls off the ball return. People leaving multiple balls up there is such an obnoxious thing in a team event.

YOU CANT RUN A SPORT LIKE A FAST FOOD RESTAURANT... AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT BOWLING HAS BECOME... A PRICE GOUGING WEALTH TRANSFER MECHANISM FOR THE TOP 1%ERS OF THIS WORLD.
I have an idea for a different way to play "Trios". Usually if its 2 teams of 2 people competing one player on the team bowls the even numbered frames and the other player bowls the odd numbered frames.
However, there is another way to do teams that is rarer but I have seen it done where they alternate shots, so if player one fails to get a strike then player 2 goes for the spare and then player one starts the next frame.
They should try doing TRIOS that way where instead of taking turns doing frames causing one player to do 4 while the others only get to do 3 they simply alternate shots. In regular trios the 3rd player's first frame is the 3rd but with this variant if player one fails to get a strike and player 2 picks up the spare then player 3 starts the 2nd frame.
Has this idea ever been tried?
Two teams of two people is doubles, they already have that tournament
@@chaos0852 I am saying that a different way to do trios where the 3 players each do one SHOT in order rather than have assigned frames. Maybe you did not read my post thoroughly and carefully? My idea is different. Its one SHOT for the player before it is the next player's turn not a FRAME. It is theoretically possible for all 3 team mates to participate in the final 10th frame too.
The Pba/Pba50/Jonesboro Trios is an awesome event on the Pba, Pba50, and Pwba Tours.

Why is it MOST of the women bowlers look like linebackers? Not that some of the men are in top shape, That is why most people DO NOT consider this a sport.

What the hell? This match is supposed to be 50 and over and those female players are well under 50. And Francois Lavae (I know I can't spell his name but we know who it is) is like 25 or something. I thought his was a "senior" match?

I agree with surround. Where are the women bowlers that are over 50? Your not helping your viewership at all if your not going to keep product pure. A lot of seniors that are unable to bowl due to a physical issues look forward to watching this as well as younger generation. Are there any bowlers on the 50 that are under that age? I think not. And just how old is Frankie?
This isn't a senior match. Its a combo match with 1 pba player, 1 pwba player and 1 pba50 player on the same team.
This was never a senior event. Pba, PBA 50 and pwba are three separate associations the format was to assemble one from each association into teams after individual qualifying.
@cindyh8822. No senior women because there isn't a senior women tour any more, for some reason. I haven't seen a senior women's event since before Covid.
Pba does need more of this format and in a center that can have a few hundred people watch. not 10;
You can have it at a bigger house, however only ten will show up. I watched the entire PBA 50 World Series of Bowling in person, plenty of room, very small attendance. There is no cost to attend, people are busy in the summer so low attendance
