TEN-TEC model 1253

I purchased this receiver during a business trip to the US and assembled it after returning home.
Connecting a high-performance antenna can easily result in excessive gain, so a simple wire antenna seems to be the best match for this receiver.
The circuit is simple, and it's more like enjoying fading than listening to a broadcast. Whether you can hear it or not depends on the antenna, the location, and the person operating it, but it will appeal to radio lovers.
It's no wonder that there are so many different 1253s around the world, including homemade ones.
