      @@humbertocasado6884 It's sad. I put myself on his shoes though, he became famous in a period of time when coming out of the closet meant work death, he was a theater trained actor and acting on TV wasn't really what he was looking for and it seems didn't make him happy, his hetero marriage was just for the public the eye, no one ends up in drugs just because and much less at the age he did. It is truly sad, don't know if he didn't seek help, I can't say if anyone tried to help him neither. His wife must have put up with a lot through the years as well so I feel for her too.
      He was a very good actor, he was so convincing as Willy and other roles he played. I will always remember him as a talented person, all that rests to believe and hope is that despite his struggles, he was a good person. I like to think he was.

      You know you can praise a show without being backhanded and bashing on “shows these days”, right? That was the whole reason we hated MrEnter’s _Admirable Animation_ series - he just used it as an excuse to moan about shows he didn’t like when it was supposed to be a positive review on something he liked.
      Plus, a lot of people are prolly here for the same reason you are - to *escape* the garbage that comes on nowadays. All you’re doing is reminding them of it and ruining the good mood they put this on specifically to get in.

    I am watching from Kenya 🇰🇪. Alf used to be aired in my country's TV around the year 1993, in the evening,I remember since I was a young boy back then, although I don't recall the storylines with precision. Now,at the time of releasing this particular episode,who exactly was at the helm in U.S.A? Was it President George H.W. Bush? Or President Ronald Reagan?

    • @deltaanthropos5259
      @deltaanthropos5259 28 дней назад

    I kind of remember this episode. I also remember growing up during the cold war. Especially after seeing the first Terminator movie, I hated the idea of nukes, and that such a thing exists.
    But worse than just the fact they exist is why they exist. Because there is evil in the world.
    And the evil will never feel guilty for the damage caused or could be caused. So all the anti-nuke guilt only works against the good guys. And most of the anti-Nuke stuff was coming from the communists weaponizing our own empathy and goodness against us.
    They do the same thing with guns every time there is a mass shooting. Getting the law abiding to give up their guns wont stop mass shootings any more than liberal democracies disarming their nukes will end war.
    The good guys having nukes was the reason the Cold War remained cold. History is replete with examples of how pacifism always leads to more war, violence and oppression. "Turning the other cheek", so-to-speak, never works.

I was happy as a boy in NYC during the Mad Men era of the 1960s when my family had a telephone, black and white TV and a General Electric AM band radio from 1961 that I remember my late mother buying it at Woolworth Department store in Flushing, Queens, NYC.
